This resort was a wonderful life experience. The resort and its accommodations were absolutely fabulous. The staff was very accommodating and incredibly friendly. I highly recommend Riu Palace Maldives for that one in a lifetime experience!!

I have never visited a hotel where the staff where so nice and well rounded. No one had a nasty attitude absolutely no one. The food options are great and all inclusive. The only thing is that the Wi-Fi is not the best in the rooms, and that they do not allow drones. Besides that, this was our honeymoon, and we give a 20/10. Greatly recommended.

This property was absolutely amazing!!! So beautiful, stunning, breathtaking. Could not recommend this place more! The perfect getaway to a beautiful destination! The staff was so friendly and helpful! I can’t say anything bad about this place or the people. I highly recommend! We definitely would love to come back!

Beautifull place not a 5 star stay!
Beautifull location and views, the food and beverage staff were amazing with great attitude and service but really disappointed with the resort being marketed as a 5 star property when they definitely don't have the level of attention and service to be but a 4 star. From the moment we arrived at the Male airport the reception by the hotel staff was terrible not guest service at all just asked us if we were coming to the hotel and to wait on the side (The presence of the staff wasn't the best to said the least) and them the arrival to the island airport was very much the same, staff just asked you if you were coming to the hotel and to leave your bags there and jump in a bus, them get down from the bus and jump in a boat, again all these steps happen without anyone welcome you or explaining to you the process in a matter expected for a 5 star hotel. Them you arrive to the hotel pier, and you have one person giving cold hand towels and another one giving you old half empty plastic glasses with warm juice and asked everyone to seat on a waiting area so that one staff can barely explain the resort information to everyone and send you out on a golf cart packed with people to your rooms. Again, until now NOTHING of all these steps were even close to a 5-star experience. We arrive to the room and the mini bar consisted of 4 old bottles of vodka, gin, tequila and something else and an office style fridge with couple of sodas a big water bottle and 2 beers. I could keep explaining!!

I am really mad because the person booked my transfer to the island of Male on the wrong day.,..had to buy another ticket back home and had to spend a night in a very noisy hotel. .so Riu Palace Maldives how do you plan on conpasating me.... would love to come back but nervous about the trust element...lost almost $2000 to buy another return ticket ticket home and spend a very noisy night in Male... .

Our stay was awesome! This is definitely a chilled vibe and relaxing resort. We loved our pool OWB! The option to have a pool and access to the ocean! Was a phenomenal experience! Our room was clean & very nice. The bed not as comfy as i would like but we made the best of it. Room service menu was very lack luster. I get it but if i prefer to stay in my room all day then there could be better food options for room service. The food options were pretty decent. Sofia (Italian restaurant) was the only place we were able to make reservations. The food was pretty good; I'm a picky eater. We weren't able to try the other restaurants as there wasn't any open time slots. The drinks were ok until I discovered the pineapple whiskey!! That was my drink during our stay! The bbq was nice and fun. There was a live band, grilling & mimosas by the beach! A perfect Sunday. We preferred the Palace side over Atoll. Marshall was outstanding!! Thank you for taking great care of us!! The staff is very accommodating and attentive. The gift shop is very small. Not many souvenirs too choose from; its a very quaint cute boutique. Plenty of water sports to choose from and their photographer is awesome as well. I did the flying dress session. We really appreciate the fact that we pre made our arrival travel arrangements. Once we landed in MLÉ, there was a RUIwelcoming agent holding a sign guiding us to our seaplane. We were guided all the way to the resort and guided all the way back to the airport.

I really had high hopes for this resort. However, it failed in most aspects for me. Beautiful resort in general, and friendly staff for the most part. Those are really the only positives I can give this place. Let’s get into the negatives. 1. I had paid for this trip in full back in January 2023. About 3k for the resort and 1K for the plane ticket, which I paid in a package. I didn’t go on the actual trip until June. I had decided to add someone to my reservation. I called Expedia and was instructed to handle everything at the resort. You wouldn't believe that this place charged me an ADDITIONAL $1,800 to add ONE person to MY villa that I had already purchased. THEN they had the nerve to slide a bill under my door for almost $3k saying I still owed them, despite me paying for the resort in full in JANUARY. After I chose not to even address additional bill they attempted to force onto me, they proceeded to CUT OFF my room key, not allowing me to access my room. It took multiple days for them to figure out that I in fact did NOT owe them anymore money. I believe they were trying to take full advantage of me and the situation, very money hungry and low down. I was extremely disappointed. 2. I paid 3k for an overwater bungalow. The room on the inside is EXTREMELY underwhelming. Very unimpressive and mediocre. Not luxurious in the slightest. The outlets by the sink/ mirrors only go up to a certain wattage so you can’t even use a basic flat iron or charge your phone.

We like the beautiful view around us. The resort is divided into two, Palace and Atoll. Palace is quiet and peaceful, and the sushi restaurant is amazing. Atoll you have all the activities and fun. Unfortunately, there are not many activities for the kids.

Had much better experiences in other Riu hotels. This wasn’t so great of experience but i must thank to two employees who made my stay pleasant. VIKISH ( front desk) who went above and beyond to make us happy. This guy deserves a raise. And Louis ( donning staff) who had a beautiful laugh all the time and so helpful. Palace side of hotel was so boring but atol side was more fun.

I stayed for two nights and really the only good thing about this hotel is the sea. Since we arrived, we were greeted with a drink of something that I'm still finding out is the service, it's terrible, the gastronomy is catastrophic, I don't recommend this hotel to anyone, I live in Florida and For me it is not worth traveling so far thinking that it is paradise and in the end you find that everything is a lie

I absolutely loved everything about the Riu Palace, however I was VERY disappointed with the food quality. The food was not good. Everything else was amazing!
