Welcome to the 1970's

Posted Oct 9, 2017
This is the worst accommodation i have ever stayed in. Don't think it's been updated since 1970. Smell of stale cooking on entrance, our room had a musty smell to it, you could see where the roof had leaked in several places so instead of redecorating they had used patches of wallpaper and masking tape. The room wasn't particularly clean either. The food certificate proudly hanging on the wall in dinning room was dated 1993!!!!! If all the other B&B'day were not full we would of moved. Don't stay there.

You get what you pay for; cheap and cheerful

Posted Aug 24, 2017
The owners of this guest house in an excellemt position in a charming market town, were lovely. They couldnt have been more helpful. The breakfast was good too. Otherwise the guest house is old fashioned and a bit run down. Some of the magazine's in my room were 6 years old, that says it all really. There are several very nice boutique hotels in Kirkby Lonsdale which would be much more attractive. But also twice as much. And that's it in a nutshell. If you don't mindcsteep stairs and you are on a budget then it is perfectly acceptable.

An original old fashioned type b&b

Posted Jul 1, 2017
Pros: Traditional b&b from when I went on holiday with my parents.
Cons: It could do with a make over but that would spoil its character.
Location: Good central location with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby.
Very 1960's style b&b. Old fashioned but quaint.Tea making facilities in the room with biscuits. A nice evening meal at the b&b at a reasonable price.

Brilliant location, but the place itself is very dated and could do with a spruce up, service good and very friendly

Sleep before nightshift

Posted Apr 14, 2017
Arrived at 21:45 to find restaurants closed and gad to knock a door behind the establishment to gain entry. Room was warm and clean with private facilities. No time for breakfast as I left at 4am

Convenient and friendly hotel.

The location of this hotel is central and very convenient and the owners can't do enough to make sure that your stay is enjoyable. The 3 children with us said that the best part of the trip was when they had their evening meal in the hotel so that's praise indeed.

Unusually early checkout

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: Well priced and good location in the town centre. If all you are after is a bed for the night and shower facilities then it offered good value.... If you're an early riser then there's not really a complaint to be had.
Cons: Checkout is too early at 10.30 and they made a point of reminding us of this by knocking on the door at 9.30....
