Here at Rx To Relax, it's all about relaxation and fun in the sun, so grab the kids and head for a refreshing plunge in the private pool or take a short walk to the beach then end the day relaxing in the hot tub. The Town of Duck offers many opportunities for families and friends to be outdoors at the Duck Town Park, from Yoga on the Green, art shows, and music festivals, and you can walk or ride a bike there. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. DU120 is the nicest vacation home we have stayed in by far. There were 9 of us traveling from different areas. 8 adults and 1 “child” (age 11). Each room has its own bathroom and even a bonus one mid-level. The kitchen was well-equipped with all of the cooking essentials & a dining table big enough so we could all enjoy meals together. The pool area is the perfect place to relax! Although this property is not right on the beach, it’s only about a short 7 min walk to get there. And it’s so close to downtown Duck that you can walk - it’s about a 15 min walk.
