"You don't absolutely need a car for Howzit Maui, but it's really helpful. The hostel arranges daily tours and activities, but if you don't make it onto the sign up sheet, then you need to make your own arrangements. There are plenty of people who have car rentals, so making alternate plans isn't a big deal. There are six shared bathrooms (with showers) and a seventh just for women. "For a million dollar view you can't beat this location. I could have sat and watched the ocean for hours. Very quiet area. Everything needed was right in the condo. IF and I do mean IF there was a downside you are about 2 miles away from the resturants and bars, so if you like to partake in a few beverages you will have get a driver as it isn't walking distance. "It was so fun to stay with my daughter. We made deviled eggs with the farm fresh eggs they left us, and salad with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce!!!! We enjoyed the whole garden adventure, it was a gorgeous landscape. Not small at all. We visited the garden of Eden right bf we came to the cottage and had the same feel. The cottage has a beautiful ocean view. It felt very private, but also the cofort of great hosts just a walk away."
