This condo was perfect for what our family needed! It was in a lovely complex right on the walking path on the ocean which connects to a few different beaches. It is super close to everything in Poipu - beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked great. The living room stayed cool and breezy with the doors open and screens closed. The property manager was very responsive to anything we needed. Thanks for a great vacation!

Perfect location

We loved our stay at this property. The location was ideal, right in the heart of Poipu with amazing views. The coast line is spectacular and we enjoyed walking along the coastal trail right behind the condo to see a natural bridge and lots of wild life.

Beautiful condo with a view

We had the best trip. Enjoyed watching whales spout and breach from the upstairs bedroom and outdoor lanai. Perfect condo for traveling with family. Our 5 year old granddaughter loved the pool and I enjoyed walking along the coast with the trail right out our door. Location was perfect for walking to the beach and we appreciated the variety of beach toys, chairs, etc. condo was well stocked and host was easy to reach and very responsive

Great place to stay

We’ve stayed at Makahuena Point many times. This unit was great. The kitchen was well stocked and they had all beach supplies we needed — beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, fins, umbrellas. The space was comfortable and had great views. The construction outside of the unit is far away and was not disruptive at all.

Disappointing stay

We were quite disappointed with the quality of this condo. The portable airconditioners were antiquated and required frequent attention to keeping them running correctly. Also the furnishings and carpet could use updating. Definitely would not recommend to return.

Beautiful view

Nice place with beautiful view of the ocean. Well stocked condo. Plenty of parking, short walk to the beach and walking trail right out back. Air conditioners kept rooms comfortable however living area can get warm in afternoon. Ocean breeze cools off nice in the evening.

Island getaway

Overall location fine, a bit more of a walk to town than thought. A/C is two ground units one in each bedroom, the one in the master bedroom failed while there, kept windows and slider open for breeze, the construction next door made the dust hard to keep in check.

Great location

We had a much too short visit to Kauai but really enjoyed this area. It was within easy walking distance to both Shipwreck Beach and Poipu beach. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C in the bedrooms was a nice perk. It definitely isn’t needed downstairs as you have a really nice breeze coming through. Very good communication with the property manager if any concerns came up and the treats left in the condo at checkin were a welcome surprise after a full travel day.

What a view!

This was our second stay at this condo and there will be a 3rd next fall. This is a great condo in a great location. Nothing fancy but everything you need in the kitchen. Brand new mattresses on all the beds. Tons of beach gear: chairs, towels, snorkel gear, a small cooler, an umbrella. It's right on the point with a spectacular view. The sunrises are just amazing.This year they added WIFI which is a big plus. Communication is excellent. The best I have had with VRBO.

Perfect Place

This was our first stay here, and we will definitely return in the future. There were four of us (two couples), and there was plenty of room. My husband and I were in the master bedroom where we enjoyed the sound of the ocean and the beautiful sunrises, not to mention the trade winds that kept us cool! The kitchen is well-equipped, and there's an amazing supply of things for the beach. The photos reflect perfectly what the condo is like. Also, Peter was extremely helpful and always got back to me immediately when I emailed him. All four of us enjoyed our wonderful stay here in the perfect place to be at Poipu Beach.

Family friendly condo with beautiful views.

My family rented for 4 nights and we were very happy with our stay. The property management were super communicative leading up to check-in, responded to our questions while on site, and made check-out easy. Loved the duplex layout! The entrance to the apartment is on the third floor of a low rise building so you do need to climb a flight of stairs to get to the unit. Everything was clean and there was all the amenities you would expect in the kitchen and bathrooms and laundry room. Pool/hot tub area is small but gets the job done. We saw sunrise from the terrace and just had to go downstairs to the walking path to watch sunset. Very comfortable and spacious!

OK place with a great location

The location is awesome but that’s were the awesome ends. While generally clean the condo is in major need of an update top to bottom. One note- the slatted bathroom doors are filthy and gross and dirty pans in cupboards gave us pause. The coolers were nice but some maintenance needs to be done as the install is falling apart and letting warm humid air in. Also at the very least please get some new pillows.

Love Poipu!

This was a great place to stay! Nice to have quiet bedrooms upstairs and private bathrooms with each bedroom. The ocean view was lovely and we could see the sunrise! My only negative was the towels. They left brown fuzz all over us after showering. We thought they must be new so washed all right away but they still left fuzz. Small issue. The space was awesome. It was just me and my three kids since my husband could not travel. Internet was great so I could work a bit. We were grateful for the beach toys as well since proximity to Poipu beach was awesome!

Amazing View Indeed!

Was a wonderful time at a great spot. Hospitality was good and couldn't ask for better area! Was relaxing to walk out to the sights and sounds of the waves every morning, not to mention the cooling breeze. It felt like we were in our own house with no neighbors around so definitely would go back again!

Great Condo!

The condo was a great size for my family. The property manager responded quickly to any questions we had. The beds were comfortable and the sunrises were beautiful! The condo had all of the essentials including a variety of beach gear that we made use of at nearby Poipu Beach. It was easy to get to other parts of the island from our location. We really enjoyed our time here!

Great location

Great location and easy quick drive to restaurants and shops. Walked to poipu beach a couple times and enjoyed the trail to shipwreck beach. Place is great. AC was great to have at night in the bedrooms.
