The House of the Atlantic - Local lodging, is located in a quiet area, where the sea is a permanent company and the rest a reality.
The villa of typology T4 houses up to 10 people. It has a large garden, with direct access to natural pools and coast (south), as well as being located just 1.5 km from the bathing area of ​​the beaches of Pópulo and Milícias. Trade and services (restaurants, supermarket, bars, etc) are also very close to the same.
The House of the Atlantic is fully furnished and equipped with appliances (dishwasher, washing machines, induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, iron, etc.) bedding, towels and all the necessary elements for a good stay of our guests, including, maid service and change of bed linen.

Beautiful property and wonderful host
This was in a perfect location. There was more than enough room for 6 adults. We enjoyed having dinner with the beautiful view. Antonio was a wonderful host. He was very friendly and helpful. He added to our good memories on Sao Miguel. If we come back, this is where we'll stay.

Beautiful home with views not to be believed! Walking distance to grocery,restaurants,cafes, paved pedestrian path. Only a short drive to Ponta Delgado. Antonio could not have been more available,helpful and communicative. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful Ocean View Property
All amenities were there. Comfortable beds and furniture, full kitchen. Just a short jaunt through the yard and a two-minute hike puts you at 2 natural ocean pools. Private locked gate off the street. A very nice property.

Lovely stay at true Azorean home!
This is a wonderful property that makes your stay in the Azores feel truly authentic. From the oceanfront view, beautiful yard with stonewall fence, access to natural pools, and walk-out balcony, it added to the whole experience for us. The house is cozy and rustic, but still offers some modern touches; WiFi, tv, dishwasher, and washing machine. The courtyard in front offered some extra security and it was nice having the house set back from the street. We didn’t use it for parking because there was always street parking available. We walked down to the natural pools a lot, and used the walkway to Lagoa. There’s great restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store very close by. Antonio is a wonderful host. He was at the home to greet us and was super accommodating by letting us check in early. He even surprised us by getting us some traditional Portuguese foods for the house. He was available for anything we needed, and is a top host. My only suggestions would be a couple more fans in the house. It was quite warm during our stay, and we had to move the fans around from room to room when we needed them. We didn’t mind opening the windows, but when there was limited breeze/raining, it was quite warm. Something for groups staying w/9 people; there are double beds in each of the 4 rooms. One also has a crib, and another has a trundle bed. Just be mindful of your sleeping setup since 4 people in the room with the trundle bed was a bit tight.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Antonio’s home! The backyard, the garden door, the patio and deck, the most beautiful view we’ve ever had. I loved having my coffee out on the rooftop deck each morning and my kids enjoyed walking to the natural pools and watching the waves break outside the back door. Antonio was so very attentive to our needs, showing us around the home and grounds and truly cared about our time on the island. Pics are as shown, you will not be disappointed

Life long dream
We traveled to Casa do Atlantico as a group of 9. The purpose of our family vacation was to accompany our 87 year old uncle "home" to his father's birthplace. We loved our stay! The home is no frills, but it fit our needs beautifully. We had 8 adults and our 16 month old granddaughter. Each couple had their own room. There was a full bath on each floor. The view is to die for! It was so relaxing to sit on the lower patio or the upper veranda! You can hear the surf. We all gathered around the large dining table for both our meals and games. We played cards, dominoes and banana grams. We walked to the natural pools on the left of the house. Amazing and refreshing! Our son-in-law walked to the supermarket more than once. We also walked to Charlena's for delicious pizza and drinks. It was very convenient, especially with our flight cancellation and rental car mix up. We utilized the washing machine and hung out our clothes to dry. This was quite handy, especially for the baby. We also went to Sunset Beach, about a mile from the house. We had a blast swimming in the ocean and enjoying the waves. The house was perfect for everything that I have mentioned. We scheduled two things. The first was a walking food tour with Hungry Whales in Ponta Delgada. It was fabulous, although difficult for our elderly. The second was lunch at Tony's in Furnas for the Cozido. We also went to Caldeira das Furnas to watch them pull the pots for our lunch. It was fun and the Cozido was delicious. One order can feed two! We also ordered off the menu and everything was fantastic! Lagoa and Casa do Atlantico are a terrific location to have for a home base. It's 10 to 15 minutes from Ponta Delgada, and about 45 minutes to all other places of interest. Do yourself a favor and consider renting this gem of a home! Communication with Mr. Antonio was great. He was very responsive to all our questions. Our final comment or suggestion to improve a stay would be to include a fan or ceiling fans in the bedrooms to help circulate the air. Thank you for a memorable stay, Mr. Antonio! We hope to return to see your new property under construction and repeat our stay at Casa do Atlantico!

Beautiful house on a beautiful island
This house was great for our family of 4 on our first trip to the Azores. Bedrooms to spare and 2 full bathrooms with a well-stocked kitchen. The location can't be beat - truly a wonderful area. We will be back in the future!

Beautiful house in a perfect location
We loved the house and the gardens and had a wonderful time there. The house is very comfortable, with good spaces, a nice layout, and it was very clean. The location is good for going anyplace on the island, and the setting is spectacularly beautiful. It was nice to have sea breezes all the time. We would definitely stay here again, and probably will! The only things we would suggest is to give tenants an extra set of keys (in case they are not always together), and to have a few more dishes and coffee mugs. We cooked for our family and needed more dishes and eating utensils, and, as Americans, we like large coffee cups in the morning. Thanks to Antonio for our stay in your lovely home.

Idyllic place to unwind and see Sao Miguel
We couldn't have asked for a better place to start our second trip to the Azores. The house is comfortable and spacious with a lot of character and very tastefully decorated and furnished. The setting is incredible and the proximity to the sea at the end of the gardens is a constant joy along with the natural pools close by. The views from both terraces were amazing and wonderful to wake up to. Antonio was a brilliant host with great advice and always extremely helpful - even getting some food supplies for us before arrival. The kitchen was well stocked and the outside barbeque was a great success. The house is very well situated near Lagoa, with its supermarkets and restaurants, from where the whole island is accessible but at the same time felt extremely private and tranquil. A perfect getaway!

The Casa de Atlantico was the perfect spot for us to enjoy a restful family vacation. The house was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The views of the ocean were unbelievable! Fantastic property and host!
What a great location! You walk out the back gate and are right on the ocean! There were eight of us staying here and there was lots of room both indoors and out. The property is unassuming when you first drive up the road, but once you enter through the front gates, it is truly a remarkable spot. Antonio was fantastic to deal with from initial booking, to questions before we arrived, and during our stay. It is really important to him that you enjoy your stay. Best spot on the island!
We were a group of 8 (4 couples) and we were all comfortable and had plenty of room. The house itself was beautiful. The views were outstanding. The natural swimming pool was very refreshing. The house is in a central location with restaurant and market within walking distance. António was very accommodating and truly cared about us having a good time! We will definitely be back!!!

Family Trip back to our Roots
My Family and I decided to go back to the Azores after not being back there for 25 years. We wanted to stay in Lagoa as that is where my mother and father were born and raised. I found Casa Atlantico after a long search but it was worth the wait. The house was in impeccable shape with a traditional Azorean feel but with all of the modern amenities that you would want while on vacation. We had 5 adults and 2 children but the house had lots of room. We never felt like we were cramped for space. The back yard was nicely landscaped and the access to the ocean was wonderful. Antonio is a class act. When we arrived he took the time to show us everything in the house and made sure that we were comfortable before he left. He was always available through phone or email if we ran into a problem and responded to our questions within a timely manner. The natural pools behind the house were wonderful for the kids and for the adults too!! The views from the upstairs balcony were phenomenal. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets everyday. I often spent early mornings sitting on the balcony with a hot coffee looking over the ocean that my Grandfather would paddle into everyday to catch fish so he could make money to feed his family. I'd like to thank Antonio for his professionalism and for making our trip such a success. I would return to Casa Atlantico in a heart beat and would base my return trip to the Azores based on the availability of Casa Atlantico. Amazing home on a stunning island
We had a fantastic stay at Home Atlantic. There were seven of us and the house was so spacious that we never felt crowded. Words can't describe how amazing the back yard and ocean view were...simply stunning. You walk out the door in the yard and the ocean is right there. There is also a scenic path that takes you to the swimming holes and it is so quiet and private. We rarely saw anyone out there. The island was beyond beautiful and the house was a great home base for driving to the sights. It was also just a short drive to Ponta Delgada which is so charming. The house was also within walking distance to two restaurants and a small grocery store. The larger grocery store was only a 5 minute drive and had everything we needed. Antonio, the owner, was very kind and always responded quickly to any questions. We highly recommend this home and would stay again in a heartbeat. It truly was an amazing place.

Beautiful villa
We stayed at the Atlantic House from March 11th to March 17. The villa site was perfect, the view is amazing. Waking up and enjoying the sunrise from our balcony was precious. My husband and my stepson (10 yr old)spent lots of time on adventures on the ocean side. The accommodations were great. We did most of our food prep at the villa and because the weather was fantastic, we were able to use the outdoor fire pit. Unfortunately the washer which is at the end of the property in an other building didn't spin, so we had to do it by hand and the clothes did not dry very well, also the neigbouring home has 2 dogs which they leave outside and spend their days and night in a cage. They barked and whined every night so we were not able to leave any windows open at night. It did impede on our sleep and rest. Antonio is very caring and helpful, thank you Antonio

Beautiful, and well maintained property on the coast
You should stay here! When we drove up to the property, the street facing aspect was very modest, and opening the door to the courtyard was like opening a present. Each door opened to more beauty. The house is clean, bright and spacious. It is tastefully furnished without having too much furniture. Being able to open the doors to the backyard and to the ocean views while letting in the ocean breeze could have been enough for the entire vacation - but there is so much to see and do in Sao Miguel that we had to tear ourselves away from our home-away-from-home. The home owner is easy to get in touch with for questions, and is very responsive. The home is located close to amenities and beaches/parks. The Ocean Waves restaurant located a short walk away had delicious food and excellent service; ask for Claudia. The only con was not knowing that there was a washing machine in the outbuilding in the backyard until toward the end of our trip; it would have been helpful to do a load of laundry during our stay, however this was only a small inconvenience, and did not detract from our stay.
