The room has no TV, not one chair, and no table. The “rug” runners beside the bed are nasty. I hate to step on them and then put my feet in the bed. What I expected to be a private balcony on the beach is really on the walkway up from the path to the beach so I cannot leave my window shutters open to enjoy the view. The room is pretty far from the edge of the shared balcony on the path from the beach so, it is hard to see the ocean from inside the room. It does not look like the pictures. It took me almost 10 min to get hot water so I thought there was none. I am very very disappointed. The reception and valet staff were excellent.

We stayed in a remodeled, king, ocean view room and we loved it. There was some construction noise during the day, but it didn't bother us. The staff was so friendly and they are doing great things updating this classic Socal hotel. We will be back.

The property was described as "premium with king bed and balcony," but was missing premium amenities. Nicely decorated and great ocean view, but VERY small. The bed took up almost all of the room. No chair to sit in, no TV, no coffee maker (coffee available in the lobby after 7 a.m.), had to ask for a microwave, frig too small to stand up regular bottles, couldn't get wifi access. The "balcony" is a sitting area outside the front door. Disappointing at this price.

My husband and I needed a getaway, and this spot was perfect. Half the property was under construction at the time but that just made it less crowded which we enjoyed. Our room was outdated but we didn’t spend much time inside anyway. The pool area is beautiful with an array of plants and lighting, the beach and lots of food options are within short walking distance. The staff was super nice and helpful. I’d love to go back once construction is done. Each unit looks unique with beautiful views. This boutique hotel has a lot going for itself and I haven’t been paid to say that lol.

The room was outdated but comfortable. The water took 3 minutes to get hot in the shower. The view is fantastic. The hotel is under renovation so I’m sure things will improve. The front desk staff and valets are incredibly nice and accommodating.

This hotel is amazing! We had the renovated king suite with balcony and terrace ocean view. The balcony had these cool single-person swings for both my wife and I. The terrace had 2 lounge chairs. We loved watching the dolphins swim off in the distance! We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and Juanita was so help ful in making our stay so special! She helped connect me with a local florist, and I was able to surprise my wife with a lovely bouquet of flowers in our room before we arrived! Will definitely return!

Service was fantastic. Valet always smiled when I asked perhaps six times to get things from my car. So happy with our room. View was amazing view of the Pacific. Office upgraded our room at check-in. There was construction during our stay. Work didn’t start until 8-8:30 am so that was fine. Wish there was on property dining and an easier way to come from the beach to hotel.

We stayed here for a couple of days and have zero complaints. The staff was kind and accommodating. We realized upon arrival that we didn’t even need to bring beach towels, umbrella or beach chairs! I wished we would have known so we wouldn’t have packed them. Would definitely love to be back!
