"Great Hotel - Price was a bit overwhelming."
Loved the hotel, however the price was deceiving. While I expected the high price, ends up that was for 1 person. Had to pay an additional fee for the 3 other members of the family. Understand the hotel has the waterpark and other fun activities, but the room price should be for at least a family of 4.

Room was clean, but sparse - no pen, for example. It was at the front of the building, on Harbor Blvd., which gave us a good view of the fireworks at Disneyland.

"Great for families!!"
My group (3 female adults 1 child) stayed in a double queen suite for 3 nights during our last visit to Disneyland. We are annual pass holders and have free parking, so the hotel's distance from the park was not a problem--it's actually an easy drive on the freeway or city streets for those planning on driving in. What appealed to us was the location (safe and quiet), free parking, breakfast, and the opportunity to have a reasonably priced suite (extra room). The lobby is very cool-looking and has been updated, but the hotel itself seems to be suffering from an identity crisis: modern lobby, traditional rooms, kitschy hallways and pool area. However, the room was clean and comfortable, roomy (except for the bathroom which was proportionately small), quiet, and well appointed (it's a "green" hotel with dispensers for all of the soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel you could want). The beds in particular were very comfortable--soft and warm! Just what you want after a long day trekking the parks. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. We had some issues trying to extend our stay through Expedia customer support and actually had to cancel and then re-book an extra night, but the hotel staff made it super easy! After breakfast on the 3rd day I went to the front desk where they had everything prepared for our last night, and we didn't even need to change rooms! Great stay and would stay again.

"Very close to Disneyland"
Hotel looked odd from the outside. Not too bad inside. The room walls seemed yo be very thin. My boyfriend and i can hear people outside of our room. The door itself had cracks and wasnt fully enclosed. Light went through the cracks. Bed was very uncomfortable. Also towels were shedding. Although, the staff was very nice and helpful. Just wish they would care more about the bedding and towels. Overall, not a bad place to stay at for a night or two.

"Nice walking distance to both parks DT Disney"
Staff was very friendly. Greeted us at the parking right away and told us where to park. The rooms were big enough for us to maneuver our daughter's wheelchair around. Beds were very comfortable and cozy. Love access of kitchen sink, and refrigerator for my special needs daughter. Very close walking distance to pizza press and downtown Disney. Would recommend this hotel

    When to Visit Laguna Beach

For lovers of sunshine, the best times to visit Laguna Beach are in the spring, late summer, and fall when the Pacific cloud layer burns off in the early morning. Air temperatures hover between 67 and 79 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year, but the ocean can be chilly, so surfers are advised to pack wetsuits.

    Historical and Cultural Attractions

The scenic beauty of Laguna Beach’s coastline and rugged hills has attracted scores of artists over the years. In the early 20th century, notable American painters like William Wendt, Frank Cuprien, and Edgar Payne lived and worked there, and many of their works are on display at the Laguna Beach Art Museum, the Golden State’s oldest museum. In keeping with the town’s artistic heritage, Laguna Beach holds a First Thursday Art Walk every month throughout the year, during which locals and visitors alike are encouraged to appreciate the paintings and photographs hanging in participating galleries.

Laguna Beach hosts a number of popular festivals and unique events during the warmer months. The Pageant of the Masters consists of living reenactments of familiar works of art, presented during eight weeks every July and August. The tableaux are accompanied by narration that explores the stories behind the artworks and the lives of the artists who created them. The Sawdust Arts Festival, also held continuously throughout the summer, is an arts and crafts festival offering one-of-a-kind items like hand-blown and fused glass, wood and metal sculptures, scrimshaw, and surf art. Laguna Beach Live! is an outdoor concert series featuring jazz, bluegrass, and world music.

Architecture buffs will love the walking tour of Laguna Beach’s private homes. Many of these Arts and Crafts bungalows and cottages look exactly the same today as they did when they were first built in the 19th century. Pick up a self-guided map from the Official Visitors Center.
