One of the cleanest/most modern hotels we’ve found on the lake. We love the rooms. Having a full kitchen and in room laundry is great. Amenities are pretty good. The kids love the heated pool, playground, game room (though there’s not much there) and beach. The place is also literally minutes to town and ten minutes to Bolton.
That said, it’s starting to show it’s age. The dishwashers are old basic models, the stainless refrigerators are dented. Some of the wooden playground equipment is starting to deteriorate. Their were some deck boards you could see (not on our deck but others) in obvious need of replacement. Last time we stayed we had loose tiles on the deck. The carpet was frayed in some spots. I saw some patio furniture that was pretty beat. The rocks around the pool are starting to come loose. The pool itself is a very rough texture in need of marble dusting. The restaurant on site is only open limited days. One of those days it was supposed to be open it was closed for a wedding which wasn’t ideal.
It’s a great resort in better shape with nicer rooms and amenities than most. You certainly pay a premium for it but it’s worth it. However if management doesn’t keep on top of the place I can see it slowly going downhill like a lot of the older resorts.
