Dilapidated old hotel on highway.

Posted Aug 16, 2015
This is a dilapidated old hotel without air conditioning. It has lots of traffic noise as it is beside Highway 50. The room gets very warm during the day requiring the windows to be open at night to get ventilation. Earplugs are recommended as the traffic noise is substantial. The swimming pool was empty in August as it apparently has been for years. It does have a safety fence around it, but it is quite unaesthetic. What appears to be four bed bug bites were received under the arm. Room has a small refrigerator and microwave that function. The refrigerator froze the food in the refrigerator section. The beds are reasonably comfortable. The shower is very small. Large persons would have difficulty using it. I do not recommend this hotel.

No privacy

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Staff was very friendly but had no sense of privacy. They tried opening my door while I was naked and I clearly said no and tried to shut it right away and they still attempted to open it

In serious need of maintenance

Posted Aug 10, 2015
I booked this hotel for 2 nights, checked in, and the minute I opened the door to my room, a large cockroach (one and a half inches long and extremely spunky) awaited my arrival. Short to say, that pretty much scared me away. Once the cockroach left my room (and proceeded to roam the hallways), I examined the rest of the room. The second warning sign was that no matter where I walked, the floorboards were so so extremely creaky that they felt that they were ready to give. Thankfully, the lady at the reception office was accommodating and allowed me to leave with a refund. So kudos to her, but anyone who values cleanliness and comfort, don't stay here until they have made some serious maintenance, renovation, and extermination control.

Bed Bugs

Posted Jul 21, 2015
1st- I saw black a bug crawling on the white sheet toward my son while he was sleeping. I pinched it and it was bloody. Then I saw a another small bug crawling the same white sheet toward my son again and I pinched again and it was also bloody. I was very worried I could not sleep. I was afraid those bugs may come home with me. I am still worry.

Excellent Value

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: The room rate, location, free parking.
Cons: The pool and jacuzzi were in disrepair?
Location: Plenty of places to eat and fun things to do nearby, like riding in the Heavenly gondola and swimming in the lake.
The venue is adequate in every way making it an excellent value for the money.

Needs serious updating! No AC! Bathroom shower head was at chest level. Had to almost be on knees to take shower! But the shower was only 2ft. By 2ft. So hard to do! Shower curtain was moldy!!!!! Towels were old and thin! Mattress very uncomfortable! Not good for $125 per night!!!!

Only if you have to!

This is not a place to book in advance or spend your vacation in. We were passing through Lake Tahoe and we arrived there around midnight so we just went in to this one on our way. The shower is so low that you must squad to be able to go under it. The beds didn't look too clean.

Cons: Air conditioning, a more empathetic staff
Stayed over the 4th of July holiday weekend. Our car broke down on the way to tahoe, and the staff (Hari) helped us check in about an hour early (check in is at 3pm). So we definitely appreciated the hospitality when we first arrived. We were meeting friends in South Lake so we quickly left the hotel without realizing what we had signed up for. Turns out our hotel had no air conditioning, but we were given a big fan, and the room came with a microwave and a mini fridge. So we made due. The real disappointment was our check out date. We were waiting for our car to be repaired, which was to be completed at 2pm, with our check out being noon. Instead of having a heart, and just accepting the fact they had charged us 600 for two nights, they made us pay partial fees. Its also important to note that we required nothing from them except a 30 minute early check-in and a late check out due to a car breakdown. We didn't request them to clean our room, and did most of their job for them. Stuff happens, we get it, but to look us straight in the face and point at the check out sign, as if we had a choice was extremely disrespectful. People who don't have any standards for a hotel experience will probably love this place.

Nice people but updates needed!!

We traveled here during the hottest month of the year only to find that the room had no air conditioning. Additionally, despite the photographs online, the pool was closed down and apparently has been for over 4 years. The owner was very friendly and, although the facility was obviously old and in disrepair, the room was very clean (My first act was to lift the mattresses and move out headboards and all was well).
