"We recently stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Lansing West and had mixed feelings about the experience.
At first glance, the hotel and room appeared clean and well maintained. The common areas were presentable, and the room initially gave a positive impression. Unfortunately, that impression changed when I went to take a shower.
I found a used bar of soap left behind on a shower ledge that clearly had not been wiped down between guests. Even more concerning, the shower floor was extremely slippery. Not only did this raise questions about the cleanliness of the shower, but it also felt like a safety hazard.
Finding evidence that the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned made it difficult to feel confident about the overall cleanliness of the room. While the hotel appears nice on the surface, attention to housekeeping details is critical, especially in areas that directly affect guest safety and hygiene.
I hope management addresses these issues, as the property otherwise has potential. A more thorough cleaning process would go a long way toward improving the guest experience."
