Quick weekend getaway
Good for a new listing - work to be done. Location: Good - In a gated community with security guards at entrances and in carts. Off the strip, but not so far that a 10-15 min car ride won't suffice. Works well if you're not planning on being on the strip the whole time. Amenities: Fair (for an attempt) - This is where the property owner is still 'in the works'. Note: that I also included that we were traveling with 4 individuals. Arrived to minimal bath/paper amenities. No type of bath products, and just hand soap for both the bathroom and kitchen. Paper products = 1/2 roll of toilet paper and 1/2 roll of paper towel. Also arrived to only 2 bath towels (there were a lot of face towels). Had to go out and buy all the above to compensate (which we purposely left home because we didn't expect to arrive to minimal), which could be a burden for someone without a vehicle. There are TVs in the property, but they were literally half way set up (plastic still on the edges, and not connected to the internet - see below regarding internet access). Bedding - good for the bedroom, but note that if traveling and needing more than one bed, you have a small futon for one in the living room, and a blow up mattress bed is provided as an additional bed. There was minimal sheets, so we had to split for us to cover all the mattresses and have a sheet/blanket to sleep. Property Owner: Good (will be Great with experience) - She is new to temporary rentals, so she is still establishing the property, as well as remaining cautious on how to handle rentals. Great communication, but does have things that she needs to work on with the local property manager(s), including providing the appropriate quantity of amenities, ensuring that passwords/passcodes are accurate and working prior to arrival. It was unfortunate that I had to wake her at 3am when we arrived (to let us in) because the supplied door lock code was not working. We also didn't have TV/Internet because the wifi passwords supplied were incorrect (I had to guess based on what she provided until I finally got the right one - then I had to set up the TVs in order to watch anything, since there is no cable/antenna). She did leave a welcoming gift, which was greatly appreciated. With all the above, I believe that the property owner will get things straight and running, in full, in no time. Would gladly stay again if the opportunity arises.
