No disappointments. Not a one.

Posted Dec 7, 2016
Pros: Tidy. Quiet. Good price.
Location: Not much in the general vicinity. Make your way to the strip (walkable) or head east on Tropicana Ave a couple miles for guns/groceries.
Stayed 2 nights on business in December. Everything went smoothly. Room was spotless. I believe they said 2016 saw new renovation, which makes sense. Lobby is nice, centrally-located pool & hot-tub is nicer. There's a tiny 'bar and grille', capable enough for a late-nite drink. Overall I was impressed. Looks like they're really trying. Or maybe it just hasn't been worn-in yet. Either way, would definitely do again.

Gone down hill

Posted Dec 5, 2016
Pros: The two best things about this resort is its location and the heated pool.
Cons: The pool filter still needs to be either turned off at night or moved as it is very noisy when trying to sleep. They are renovating the rooms but not
Stayed at this resort several times, last time being 4 years ago. Had the same room on many occasions booked months in advance and rang several times for the same room and when I arrive they told me the room was unavailable. After speaking to front desk manager he made the room available. Kids allowed to run around screaming slamming doors. Stayed 3 weeks and could not get a late check out unless I paid $70 for two hours. The security at the resort is a joke. Need your key to get in the gate but there is a big hole in the fence which did not get fixed after telling them.

This was our last time staying at Desert Resort

Posted Nov 30, 2016
Pros: Having kitchen was nice but the toaster was not working and no kettle to use.
Location: Location is so confusing and not close to anything
After 5 hour drive with my 84 years old dad, the front desk person (Nathan) told us he can't check us in because my husband reserved the room with his credit card and he was not traveling with us. Then because my dad can't walk easily I asked them to give us a room close to the elevator but they did the opposite and our room was the very last room on 3rd floor, we moved downstairs and this time we were the first room next to the entrance door and all night I was not able to sleep because of the terrible sound of the door closing each time people come or go. Inside the room was a very bad odor which I opened the sliding door for fresh air at a very cold day. Anyways not a pleasant weekend

Quiet place just off the strip.

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Pros: Location & easy parking.
Cons: I was disappointed in finding bugs in my ice from the ice machine. I hope they clean that out more often.
I was happy with the location & the staff was very friendly upon check in. I was disappointed in finding bugs in my ice from the ice machine. I hope they clean that out more often. Then on the last day of our stay around 10 am (check out is at 12) I had a security guy just walk right into my room while we were getting dressed. This was embarrassing & scary. For these reasons I can not give a five star review. Please have more respect for guest's privacy in the future. Thank you.

Very nice homely place to stay near strip.

Posted Nov 25, 2016
Pros: This place is close to strip. Rooms were very clean when we arrived. Check-in and checkout was quick.
This is a very comfortable and homely place to stay near strip. I was visiting with my old parents who do not eat outside food. We got a room with kitchen and it had everything we wanted. I had back problem and requested for a room on level 1 close to parking and they did that even thou room was bigger than what i had booked. The room was close to parking which made it easy for us to move in and out. Overall the rooms were very spacious and had everything we could ask for. My entire family enjoyed the stay and we will be back in future to stay at this place.

Worked well for a family

Posted Nov 24, 2016
Pros: Location, suite setup for a family, kitchen would be great to use if you are there for a couple of days, free parking
Cons: Its currently under construction, so I'm not sure what facilities will be added, getting to food right now requires some walking
Location: The Strip is in walking distance
We got a suite; two bedrooms, plus a living room, and two bathrooms, plus a full kitchen. This works out great for a family so everyone has space. Size was reasonable. We were on the ground floor, and I was worried about noise, but this wasn't a problem. My biggest annoyance was getting a timeshare pitch while I was tired and just wanted to get the car parked and the kids into the room, which is why I rated the staff low; most of the staff were great and helpful. Parking was free. There's no restaurant, so there's no place nearby to eat; since we got in late, we had to hike to get some breakfast, but with a little more forethought we could have made good use of the kitchen. We walked to the Strip, maybe 10 minutes (it says a block away, but blocks are huge in Vegas).
