The property and staff were great. Also like the security of the elevators. The only reason I won’t return is the pools close at 5. While on vacation we don’t wake up early,get up go eat then return. That leaves very little pool time which is a big one for us.

Super nice after the remodel. Hash house and Guy Fieri’s restaurant had great good with huge portions at a decent price. Staff were very nice and always willing to help. Will definitely stay here again.

I'm from CA so walking into a place where indoor smoking is still allowed was weird to me. I feel like the pervasive smell of cigarettes made it feel cheap.

I had a lovely stay, the room was very nice and clean. It is not exactly on the strip but the walk over the bridge is not bad at all. Food options were great inside the rio and around the rio. Definitely recommend

Every employee encountered was extremely helpful and pleasant. Bar staff very knowledgeable and made great food and drink suggestions.

The property was okay and clean! We were asked to pay $30.00 extra per per night if we wanted an updated, refurbished room, which we thought we would get automatically. We declined and got a clean 70ish room. I didn't like that there was no shuttle to the strip! We won't be going back to Las Vegas.

The casino was pretty empty, probably because it was Monday. The staff who checked me in were extremely nice and helpful. The room was really clean.

The hotel is old. The bed was comfortable. We were very unhappy that the hot tub was closed. The closed the pool at 5:00 pm. We checked in at 4:00 and didn't have a chance to use it since it was 1 night stay. Will not stay here again.

At lot of the property is being renovated. Our room was big, bu the couch and carpet had stains on it. Bathroom fixtures were old and worn out. Staff was very friendly though.

We did not like the fact that we paid an extra $190.00 for the use of the pool & gym which we did not use. Nor were we told about these e tra charges thru Expedia.

We really enjoyed our stay last week of April. Stayed in a renovated 1 bedroom suite with a great view of the Strip and pools . The room was massive, over 1100 sqft . It was clean and we really appreciated all the space. The only thing i didnt like is that there wasnt a coffee maker in the room, but there is a Starbucks by the elevator. I thiught there were great food selections, especially with us having young children. Looks like lots more lounges/restaurants coming too . The weather was great so we spent 2 days judt at the pools . Only 2 pools were open but my kids still had a blast, and i can imagine when the other 2 pools open it will be even better. Service for food and drinks at the pool was great. Only other thing i can think of it would be great if the hotel offered a shuttle to the strip and Freemont St. Also Kiss World was alot of fun for my kids, who are big fans lol

I do not recommend this place unless you are looking for a 1 star resort. Checked in on a Saturday and out on a Wednesday. Arrival to hotel. The accessible button did not work. Party of 5. I was traveling with my 83 year old grandmother who is in a wheelchair and my 65 year old Aunty who uses a walker.. not ideal. I complained at the front desk and they said it was in the process of being fixed. There was a security gaurd at the elevators checking to be sure those who were entering had room keys. In the duration of our stay there was only security there at random times.. unsure why? The rooms were very outdated (renos happening in the near future luckily) the washroom was filthy, hair in the tub, the toilet didnt flush properly, the safe in one of the rooms did not work. The pool area was nice which was outdoors but i was told smoking is permitted inside the casino, not outside.. thats assbackwards. No ashtrays near front enterance either. We were lucky to see a server within a 2 hour window of sitting at the slots. No coffee in rooms but could purchase for $6.50 at the bar. Lol The wheelchair accessible door button still was not working when we left.. even after daily complaints. When the gentleman at customs asked where we were staying and i told him the Rio his response was "oh the rundown Rio"... Yup it sure was.

The property is still adding eating places and re-doing some rooms. Also just starting the self-computer check-in which did not do well, but had someone there to help. Room was great - really spacious but I think we were in a room not re-done yet and sofa needed replaced but very clean room. Also need more little stores to wander thru. LOVE the valet parking - really friendly help and was included with room rate - so far. Nice to be away from the Strip traffic if just needing to go other places. Would definitely stay there again in future.

The check-in experience was terrible. Somebody get Flora some hospitality training! The hotel renovations are less complete than I expected. I got injured in a room because the floor was wet from shampooing. Light fixtures in the hallways were broken, wallpaper was tearing, holes in the walls, and stains on the furniture. I get they are in the middle of a renovation, but it seemed like they just stopped caring in general about the older parts of the hotel, which is not a good thing.

We would have appreciated amenities like a microwave or a kettle to make tea or coffee. The hotel provided the bare minimum in terms of in room amenities. The room was very outdated and the drain was clogged. The plus side was that it was resolved once we made a complaint

There was some mold above the shower and some into the the room; but other than that the room was clean. The bathrooms and other areas were very clean within the resort. The pool area was great. The check-in could have been more descriptive as to which tower you need to go to to get to your room but other than these the resort and casinos were great. Would stay here again
