The hotel is in an area of natural beauty. Food is to die for and the staff superb. The walks are amazing and the ease of treks amazing. Our room was great albeit the stairs for older patrons may be a problem. That said we’d recommend the location and of course this family run hotel without question.

A good stopping place ...
Our arrival, after a long drive through heavy rain, was luke-warm ..... but the receptionist was clearly busy so we made allowances. Our room was comfortable, with a balcony and a fairly non-descript bathroom. We ate dinner in the hotel, wonderful trout from the pool outside. The waitress was very jolly and we had a nice evening. Breakfast in the morning, again, was good with a wide array of choices. It was still raining when we left the next morning but never mind. Would we return? Probably, if we were passing.

Lovely Hotel
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. In the back of the hotel there is a beautiful garden. You can choose to walk (45 minutes) or drive (10 minutes) to the castle from the hotel. I enjoyed my time very much during the stay.

Our room was comfy for 3 and we had a view of the castle at the top of the mountain. They have a trout pisciculture and you cannot go without having one for dinner. There is good hike up to the castle and a lot of cycling. Breakfast was really good and included.

Great location to see the Castle
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We had a shared balcony (which was different) as normally your balcony is private but the room was lovely.

Quaint hotel with great restaurant
This is a nice hotel/restaurant tucked into the bottom of a mountain looking up to Lichtenstein Castle. It's a scenic, generally peaceful place and the restaurant food is really tasty. Staff is very friendly and personable! There are some discrepancies between Expedia descriptions and the actual room we got. For one, the pictures didn't quite match up; perhaps there are newer and/or remodeled rooms that match the photos better. Also, our room claimed to have both a double bed and a sofa bed but the room we got simply had a double bed and not even a normal sofa, which was a disappointment. We also experienced pretty consistent and loud noises from what must have been the restaurant kitchen/staff from about 7:30AM-11AM and 7:00PM-10/11PM pretty much every day of our stay. I'm guessing that only a handful of rooms are in this area of the hotel so maybe book the more expensive room options? Overall a nice hotel with a great location and restaurant but try to avoid the older rooms above and next to the service area.

Great hotel! The room was spacious with a nice bathroom. The area super quiet. Did not get to try out the spa and sauna services. The onsite restaurant was fantastic and not over-priced. Staff was friendly. There's a trail just a hundred yards away that leads up to the castle if you're in the mood for a good hike. The breakfast was good as well. Wi-fi was a little spotty, but you're in a gorge, so that's to be expect d.

Great hotel near lichtenstein castle
Very good hotel near Lichtenstein ( 5km ) and hollenhozer Castles ( 40 km ) ! Great restaurant whih the best trouts !

All employees were very nice and very accommodating for whatever we asked. We ate dinner in the accompanying restaurant, and it was fantastic. Our room had a great view of Castle Lichtenstein, which was an added plus.

Great hotel at the base of Burg Lichtenstein
The hotel was a in a great location for a visit to Lichtenstein castle. Little did I know that the hotel is directly at the base of the cliff and my room balcony had a wonderful view of the castle. The reception desk staff was very friendly. I ordered room service for dinner and it came promptly and was very good. The room was plenty in size, but I was traveling alone so I did not need very much room. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful; complete with a made-to-order egg chef! The spa looked very nice, but unfortunately due to my late arrival and fairly early morning departure, I missed the hours of operation so I was unable to enjoy the beautiful saunas and spa area. My only complaint is that the rooms are not soundproof. I heard other guests come into the hallway in the evening, slamming the hallway door, rolladens dropped on the windows of adjacent rooms, and even could hear the guest either next door or above me snoring. Needless to say, I didn not sleep well during my one night stay. I found ear plugs in the basket tucked away in the bathroom in the morning. Wish I would have known about them in the evening! Not a good option if you are a light sleeper. Just bring earplugs! But, the hotel was in excellent condition, staff were all very friendly and helpful, and it is a wonderful location for visiting Burg Lichtenstein!

September Holiday
We stopped by on our way to Switzerland to see the Lichtenstein Castle. The hotel is wonderful. We had a very spacious room with a balcony with a view of the castle. We did the hike up the mountain to see the castle, it took about 45 minutes and was a steep climb. When we got to the top we only had card and castle admittance is cash only. It was a lovely walk! We found that the only place to eat in Lichtenstein is the hotel which was fine. They farm their own trout here, which we both ate and cannot speak highly enough of it. I wish we were able to stay longer and I would recommend this to anyone. It is a little pricey but worth it.

Authentic, comfortable, impressive.
Centrally located on our journey from Belgium to Switzerland. Wonderful little town. Hotel restaurant is excellent. Of course, have the trout. The property owners have a nearby trout farm. Delicious. Great view of Schloss Lichtenstein (the castle) which is a lovely stop for great views and a castle tour. Highly recommend. The hotel name "Akzent" is not visible from the road. Look for "Forellenhof Roessle". Very easy to find.

Very clean and comfortable rooms with good quality furnishings. View of castle from window. Lovely staff and a great restaurant downstairs. We was ere offered free use of the sauna. Good wifi in rooms. You pay a little more for the room, but overall well worth it.

Very nice hotel in quiet, small town.
We needed a place to stay that was close to small communities that we wished to visit. This hotel fit that bill. It turned out to be a fairly upscale "spa" hotel with very friendly staff, clean and nicely sized and appointed rooms in a beautiful small town snuggled in a deep valley guarded by a castle on the mountain above the town. We could see the castle looking up from the windows of our room. In addition the hotel has its own trout hatchery and the restaurant is noted for its excellent trout specialties (reservations for meals are suggested). We ate supper there and I had one of the trout meals and it was excellent. Although we ate inside, there is a very nice terrace through which runs a small stream. There is free parking in a lot behind the hotel (and paid, if you wish, in a garage).

Great - If you like Trout!
The Hotel has it's own small trout pools and farm. With the outside dining area bridging the waterway. Very friendly staff, bit hit and miss on english speakers, but all willing and helpful. Set in a 'sharp' valley, under the Schloss Lichtenstien. I suspect a lovely walking area. Though the Restaurant had an 'expensive' feel, there was plenty for me to choose from on a budget.

Toll geführter Familien Betrieb, Essen war unbeschreiblich lecker und reichlich, Frühstück sehr individuell, Brötchen mega leicht und bekömmlich, weiche Eier warm gehalten, sodass immer alles frisch ist, hatten heute früh Bock auf Rührei mit Speck, sogleich frisch gemacht und super lecker. Zusammenfassend ist es innen gemütlich, draußen Märchenhaft, unvergesslich leckeres Essen, sowie menschenfreundliche, zuvorkommender Service. Dieses Mal haben wir den Wellnessbereich nicht geschafft, was wir aber Ostern gleich nachholen werden.👏👍

Kein warmes Wasser auf dem Zimmer während des Aufenthalts vorhanden. Duschen nicht möglich. Schlafen bei offenem Fenster nicht möglich, da kontinuierliches Pumpengeräusch in Zimmer 8. Beim Frühstück an Kochstation Spiegeleier bestellt jedoch bis Frühstücksende nicht serviert. Hier wäre es sinnvoll auf die Kochstation zu verzichten und Eier für Gäste direkt zugänglich zu machen.
