The Elevator service is horrible. 320 rooms served with only two elevators. Had to wait long for the elevator specially with a small child.

We had a two-room suite with a large balcony. The view of the city was amazing and the hotel is in a great location - convenient to Heathrow and Wimbledon (the reason we were there). I spent $1,500 for two nights. For the price, the room was quite small. The real problem was the service or lack of it. I had to ask 3 times of an ice bucket and when I received it there wasn't any ice in it. We were on the 10th floor and the expectation was that we go to the bar for ice - even though I had already been there twice asking for ice. I kept the room clean and washed our dishes and made our bed. When the room attendants came to service the room, they only emptied the trash and left clean towels. However, they did not replace the toilet paper, tissues, or paper towel. I had to call the front desk to replace. I expected more for $1,500!

We had a good stay but the hotel is on a busy street and London is a round the clock city so be prepared for noise from sirens and loud engines. The always open market in the lobby is a great idea but bonkers level prices (like 4 GPB for a bottle of water). If you need drinks or food, the Tesco next door is a better option. The laundry in the basement is good as well. Plenty of machines but it can get cost at nice especially so, if you can, try to go during the day when people are sightseeing or at work. Lastly, the service when we needed some towels was so so. Once they never showed and the 2nd time we had to call twice.

Had a great stay here with my kids for the Taylor Swift concert! Rooms were clean, well equipped and easy to access. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and served for a nice time frame. The tube was not a far walk, and bus stops were even closer. It was safe and perfect for our trip!

The hotel was generally good. It was very clean and the towels and garbage were changed daily. It was located very close to Tesco, but far from the tube, which made it inconvenient to walk, especially when it was raining. The room had useful amenities such as a microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher, and stove. However, not all items served for breakfast were restocked daily, like bananas. The elevator was small and always busy. Although the room had two TVs, YouTube kept on buffering. The toiletries provided only included shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner; there was no toothbrush or toothpaste provided. Additionally, we had to wait 1.5 hours for the 3rd guest’s blanket, towel, and pillow, which ideally should have been ready when we entered the room.

Our family of three adults had a very good seven night stay at Residence Inn Kensington. It is not a fancy hotel but it is very well run. Haven’t been to London in a long time but here are my: Pros: Rooms are efficient and everything seems to work. There is even a two pronged US style plug outlet in bathroom for electric razor/hairdry (which we used for 4 USBs) Staff is knowledgeable a very helpful Breakfast buffet is giant with very wide, although static variety Numerous Underground Stations within 15 minute walk Giant Tesco next door They provide free washers and dryers for guest usage Gym is good enough Cons: Front desk, lobby, breakfast, and elevators are mobbed during peak hours. Our room was two flights up and we always used stairs except with luggage moving in and out. Not much “exciting” to see within 15-20 minute walk Gym is good enough Highs were in the 60sF during the day when we were there, but we could not set a/c lower than 18C/64.4F at night and I doubt the room ever got below 68F. Could open the window, but there was a fair amount of street noise very early in the morning (Tesco loading docks?)

Bedroom is a bit small in size but living room is acceptable. Sliding door of the bathroom did not work well. Installation of a handle inside the bathroom will be better to avoid sliding. Supermarket near the hotel is very much convenient.

Reasonably convenient access to public transportation. Breakfast was well managed. Sofa bed is very uncomfortable and room is small. It’s nice to have a laundry facility but half the machines don’t work. There is a long line of people even at 1:00 am waiting for free washer or dryer.
