Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The location of this property is amazing. It is close to restaurants, pubs, shopping areas and historical landmarks. The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful; very friendly. The only problem we ran into was the bathroom set up and lack of outlets to plug-in a hair dryer (outlet would only accommodate shaver/razor). Had to get ready in the bed area which was a little odd Lol Not a big deal, but worth noting.
I was so impressed by the service I received. Everyone is willing to help with any question. The location was excellent, walking distance to everything. I felt safe.
What i did not like was the included breakfast, it was the same every day
Hotel was in excellent location but we did find it quite noisy at night - could hear cars circuling and there was alot of shouting, so interrupted sleep. Hotel room was fine if a bit tired, bathroom could certainly benefit from a spruce up. Staff on reception were friendly and very helpful.
My stay at The Cavendish was pleasing. The location is excellent. It is quite near to Picadilly Circle, museums, some theatres and restaurants. The concierge was most helpful in making reservations, providing directions and getting a taxi. Staff was friendly. Fortnum and Mason is right on the corner of Jermyn Street.
It is very clean with pleasing decor. Rooms were a good size for 2 people. Any requests made prior to arrival were met.
Housekeeping was late twice to my room so I had to turn them away as it was late in the afternoon just prior to going out for the evening. Breakfast was a repetitive buffet but there were enough choices to eat a little differently each day.
Suggestion to hotel: provide coffee machine somewhere where it could be available to guests at any time, otherwise you must wait until the dining room is open. The small coffee maker in room was a type that I was not familiar with and there was no instructions. Fresh water was always provided in the lobby. All and all our stay was a lovely choice.
