To much noice and not have security in the outside

Posted Oct 2, 2015
Location: Too much clouser from the train.
This is not a family hotel, no too much security because the hotel is annex to the streets.

Li stay

Everything was great. Parking lot was big. The only down side is that the mattress was old and uncomfortable. A bit over priced.

Noise at either end.

Posted Sep 23, 2015
Pros: Nearness to NYC and central location.
Cons: Housekeeping needs to learn their job.
Location: Plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Only a 20 minute drive to Long Beach and a 30 minute railroad trip to mid town Manhattan
If you like the sound of the Long Island Rail Road or cars horns honking and sirens sounding at all hours of the day this is the place for you. The first room that they tried to put us in was in a corridor that fronted on the LIRR commuter parking lot. It was dark and dreary. The second room was on the 4th floor and at least offered some daylight. Towels were another story. Had to call housekeeping to get that corrected. The following day housekeeping did not show up until 5PM. The front desk staff was genial and helpful but it was not enough to overcome the bad first impression that the dark room gave us.

On main road -- noisy

Posted Sep 21, 2015
One end of the hotel is on the main road (Sunrise Highway) and the other is next to the Long Island Railroad. My room was near the road and the noise level was unacceptable. If one were to get a room near the middle of the hotel it might be more acceptable. Hotel staff is pleasant and room was clean with a nice firm mattress. Breakfast is serve yourself on horrible unecological styrafoam plates.

Perfect for our needs

Posted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: The staff was very nice. The hotel was kept up well and was quite a large facility. There were meeting rooms, a restaurant, etc.
Cons: The Long Island Railroad runs closeby and makes some noise. This might bother some. (not us). Can't ask them to move the tracks though!
Location: We were there the night before a flight, as its near JFK. We also enjoyed eating and walking in Cedarhurst before our flight.
We got the room as a "last minute deal". It was clearly adequate for us. A nice room, good size, comfortable. The desk staff was exceedingly friendly and nice to work with. We checked out on time but still needed to print our boarding passes. They gave us a key to the computer room and let us finish up our planning.

Gateway to NYC

Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: Very convenient access to the city and affordable rates for proximity to NYC.
Cons: Property can be noisy. With the LIRR so close and a busy thoroughfare nearby (Sunrise Hwy) you expect some noise. Walls are a little thin.
Location: Great location with plenty of restaurant choices and its a 25-30 minute train ride to NYC. Round trip peak train ticket is $26.
Have stayed here before and like the convenience to the LIRR and NYC. The hotel has been renovated in the past couple of years and both the property and the staff have been upgraded.

Comfortable one night stop-over, great community

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Staff were exceptionally helpful
Cons: no issues
Location: Restaurants, cafes, bars, ice cream parlours, cinema, local train station
We stayed with our 2 teenage sons as a last night in New York before heading for JFK. The hotel itself was very convenient to the LIRR and connection to the Airtrain. It was a comfortable space and breakfast had a good range of items. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and we were allowed to use the pool after check out. The area itself was great for a stopover, with enough local restaurants/take aways and fantastic icecream parlours/local bars to make for a pleasant stay, all within easy walking distance.

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Close to shops, food and highways.
Cons: The room size is a bit small.
Location: The hotel is situated in a nice quiet area. There are malls, parks, and restaurants close by.
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is situated in a nice quiet area.
