Really nice place to see the sunset , awesome views Great place for a hike with the dog Please be mindful of plastic use! Great spot to capture awesome photos! This is a beautiful lighthouse located in our area. We usually go for walks around the area and enjoy watching whales that are spotted frequently. It was built in 1926. It is 67 feet tall and the masonry structure is built on the edge of a 139-foot cliff. This is a must see lighthouse if you are in the L.A. Area and would like to enjoy scenic view of the cliffs of Palos Verdes and the Pacific Ocean! You also have a spectacular view of Catalina Island in the distance!
Breathtaking views at all angles!
#lovemytown Point Vicente Park. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. December 20, 2015. This is where I live in Palos Verdes Peninsula, California. It used to be an island part of the Channel Islands the same as Catalina Island which is just off the coast. On the headland is the beautiful Terranea resort where the old Marineland used to be many years ago. It's very sumptuous and often visited by A listers who want to escape LA.
#green #losangeles Point Vicente Park. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. December 20, 2015. Tide very low this month (11/2017). Beautiful scenery of sea life, very easy to explore and touch. Never crowded beach makes it easy to walk and take photos. This area is very close to Terranea famous resort here in Los Angeles. Outstanding You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the #ocean does not become dirty.
Mahatma Gandhi 3 awesome sea caves here; check the trip report for Abalone Cove on my website for details on getting there. Best local nature gem within reach of Los Angeles! Great walk and fabulous sunsets. Interpretive center is a little natural history museum located on the bluffs. This is actually a real photo. Terranea is just magical! (That's Catalina in the distance.)
https://www.christinascucina.com/terranea-resort-a-luxurious-escape-for-locals-and-tourists-alike-including-a-fantastic-garlic-edamame-recipe/ With all the rain the Palos Verdes Peninsula is #green and bursting with flowers this spring. Wayfarers Chapel, also known as Little cave by the beach Little cave by the beach Seeing the beach from up the hill , such a quiet place Awesome views of Catalina Island. Such gorgeous sunsets and nice hikes Tide pools A beach full of pebbles and a rock cave. I watched an orca whale (rare sight here) and dolphins playing in the surf. Best Bakery on the Hill! This photo was taken along the coast on Hawthorne Blvd. near where I live. The view of Catalina Island was just too incredible to just pass by. This community park near my house has a nice nature trail with some awesome view! Great views from the bluff top views Beautiful canyon in Palos Verdes and in the distance you can see Catalina.
High bluffs looking over Pacific Ocean. Fabulous views of Catalina Island as well as the lighthouse. Tide pools #beachbound To get to the cave you have to climb some rock This is one of the biggest 'coves' in the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Enjoy seeing the panorama from above: sailboats passing by, surfers in the water and the sun setting. I thought it was a cute, little flower. During my hikes, I love to explore and notice the little details around me. Ocean and sky 😍 My favorite spot #lifeatexpedia This place is a Short Hike but it was Amazing The Cove is Huge and in the center of it there is a small Cave I get into it, bring your Flashlight cause is pitch black inside, the view is Speechless and the Aqua Color all over the ocean is Just sweet! I guess I'll have to trust the sign... (Seriously, though... Check this place out if you're also a fan of pretty views.) Wayfarers Chapel, also known as Point Vicente at sunset Beautiful hike for a clear day#hike #pv #beach Walking trail at the resort I thought the colors were natural and beautiful. I am glad I was paying attention to my surroundings while taking this hike. Taken during a hike in Palos Verdes, California Fog rolling in... Sunset at the cliff in Palos Verdes. Basically an unreal view. Isn't this just the perfect size dessert for Key Lime Pie 💝. Enjoyed lunch at Nelson's Restaurant sitting outside overlooking the Pacific Coast on a warm sunny day in October - what a perfect day!!! The waiter said he had the perfect ending for our lunch and he was right! Delicious!
#FoodieFinds. Looking out at the reserve from a balcony. Some of the best sunsets and sunrises can be viewed from the reserve. Lucky day...they are filming the movie Dunkirk..famous event that happened during WW11 in which British army was saved from annihilation! Tide pools Braised short rib Just a tad south of the Terranea Resort lies Abalone Cove. Great tide pools! It's a bit of a hike down across a very rocky beach (wear shoes!) but worth it. Go at low tide so you don't have to swim across the channel to see starfish, crab, anemones etc. Beautiful views of the Pacific Coast from Nelson's Restaurant at Terranea Resort. I was checking out this resort for an upcoming event and I can't wait to go back.
#PacificCoast. #beach #TerraneaResort #PacificCoastHighway #nature Awesome sunrise from here. Hikes and views Great natural sidewalk with beautiful views Tide pools #california Beautiful view Descending to Pelican Cove Skillet seared Prawn and scallop with lobster sauce Does this sign apply to the rattlesnakes too? Beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and the coastline. Miniature orchard Hiked along the beach to get to the channels to jump off the rocks. Went with an infant walked the upper trails (lots of steeper parts and walked along the road part of the time). If the surf is harsh then it's dangerous to jump, but high tide was nice today.
