Website was deceiving. It was horrible.

The toilet flooded, The phone was filthy with women's make-up! Had to move to a 1 bed room after paying for a double. It was all bad. I would never stay here again! Nice overworked employees...we didn't feel safe.

Superficially nice... just like LA!

Pros: Proximity to Universal Studios
Cons: Customer service by the staff. Fix up the little things in the room that are broken or outdated.
Location: Near Universal Studios. Close to Hollywood.
The hotel looked very upscale and contemporary for first impression. Very LAish! But once we were there for a while in our room, we saw some of the cheap stuff, like an old phone with mismatched cord attached to the receiver, no usb outlets, a window A/C, rather than central A/C. The bath/shower had no place to put soap or shampoo, etc., but there were some holes where they previously had a soap dish, but it was not replaced. No stopper for the sink. The first day, we noticed that our sheets had a stain on it. The next day they did change the sheet. Also, the lobby service was kind of cold and impersonal. No restaurant, but had a small counter which sold drinks and snacks, the kind of cheap prepackaged pastries you would find in a supermarket. But the counter was hardly ever staffed. You would have to go to the lobby desk and have to ask them to send someone over to sell you what you need. Parking was extra and in a cramped underground garage, where the cars had to park in tandem, so if someone parked behind you, you have go back to the lobby desk and have them move the car behind you so you can pull out. I probably would not stay in this hotel again.

Stay was very nice. Hotels these days you really get what you pay for. I didnt mind the $333 a night. well worth it when everything is so close.

Convenient forbusiness

Very modern facilities. The bathroom wall was banged up where blow dryer-or something-was removed. There was hair on wall in shower, but otherwise room was clean and comfortable.

Location:

Clean hotel, parking lot could be better

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Clean, comfortable hotel with microwave and frig in room. Small parking lot with tandem parking spaces, which was inconvenient. The shower with the 2 knobs was too fancy for us and was a real struggle to use. Hotel is close to Universal Studios, though, which was a big plus. Lots of restaurants close by and close to freeway.

Great location, other things lacking

Posted Jul 9, 2015
This hotel was cheaply remodeled to raise prices. Our room smelled off and felt dirty. The linens were barely clean. Don't get me started on the floor. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel. This place probably used to be a really dumpy hotel, now it is a dumpy hotel with new paint.

The staff were very helpful.

The room was not as nice as it should have been. A lot of traffic noise and the bathroom mirror needed to be replaced. The lighting was very dim also.

comfortable and quiet hotel

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: Easy access to all the venues I came Los Angeles. Also it was clean and quiet.
Cons: Parking situation
Location: close to everything I needed to be on my stay in LA
Blvd hotel has good access to the freeway, metro red line and stores. Its clean and quiet but the hallways are dark and not well lighted. The lobby is tiny with a adjacent bar that is sometimes noisy at night. The staff sticks strictly to business and is not very friendly ( I guess its LA ). They charge you for parking which with the room rates is a " little over top ". There is tandem parking and was blocked several times because we were instructed to pull forward when parking which seems to be not followed by all the guests. Overall parking situation is poor to fair. There appear to be no security just videos cams. The parking entry is on the street so anyone can walk in. Overall I would rate this hotel average +. Also, the cleaning was nice and responded to all requests.

High price for low quality.

The showers were a nightmare. Very poorly constructed. Great staff though. Charge you for parking after making you pay so much for the hotel. Not worth the price.
