Beautiful Baja-cation!
What a great week in Baja! A perfect location to escape the tourist crowds and enjoy the sand, sun. and surf. The property is off the beaten path (travel time includes some dirt road) but it is worth it and directions are spot on. Stop in Los Barilles for groceries (a full store) and if you run out of anything there are small markets close or the property manager, Jose Maria, can bring stuff buy (he brought us ice and wine!!) Make sure and order dinner at least one night from his wife. The house is great - could have slept 16-18 but didn't feel overwhelming to the 6 of us - just space to spread out. A fabulous kitchen with everything you could possible need for cooking. My sons spearfished and brought back dinner multiple nights. Jose Maria and Armando are great and happy to help. Spencer (property host) is the most responsive I've ever met on VRBO. Great insights and answers all questions. Rent a UTV for the week - it's easier than a car for day trips. We will be back!!

Remote, beautiful setting away from everything
Punto Pescadero is a stunning coastline, and Casa de Los Arcos boasts some of the best sunrises and views you will ever see. However, you have to drive 45 minutes on very challenging roads from Los Barriles, and there is very little closer to the house. Out of milk? It will take you an hour round trip to get to a tiny market by dirt road. But once you get there, Agustin sometimes has his adjacent taqueria open, and will graciously whip up some seafood tacos! The house is spacious, mildly dated, and made to accommodate several parties in separate spaces. The “casita” (garage, really) is not up to the standards of the other bedrooms, but would be fine for some teenagers or older kids. We had two activities arranged by José María, the house manager. The vendors expected me to pay them directly and in cash (you should bring thousands of dollars in cash with you). I would have preferred to make the arrangements myself so that I knew the costs and payment arrangements up front. It was not very helpful for me to have someone else book these things. JM’s wife Griselda made an incredible dinner and tres leches cake for us. Overall, this is a good off-the-beaten-path DIY trip for adventurous, self-sufficient families who don’t mind some mishaps and inconveniences along the way. Hernando the groundskeeper is helpful with fixing things (check the SUPs and kayaks before using - both were broken).

We're delighted that you and your family enjoyed the natural beauty of this part of Baja California and the Sea of Cortez! While we acknowledge our location is secluded, it offers guests the opportunity to appreciate uninterrupted scenery, abundant wildlife, and a tranquil experience with family. For your convenience, it only takes about a 5-minute walk to Punta Pescadero Resort for milk or an 8-minute ATV ride to El Cardonal, where you'll find several markets with a variety of supplies. If you're up for a more extended adventure, Los Barriles is an option for lunch, shopping, sightseeing, and, of course, picking up milk. A quick WhatsApp message to Jose Maria could even arrange a milk delivery to your door, as he often checks in with our guests. Griselda prepares a delightful dinner, and if you inform her the day before, it can be delivered by 7 pm. The casita does well for additional guests or teenagers – feel free to peruse the unedited photos to see it as it is. Thank you for bringing the broken SUP skeg to our attention; a replacement is on the way. Your valuable insights on enhancing our guests' experience are always appreciated.

Family time
We had a family of 12 and this place was perfect! We enjoyed our time, relaxed, rented UTV’s, fished, paddle board, kayaked, snorkeled and had the best time on the patio! Jose Maria was the best host and always accommodating. We will for sure be back

Perfect Family Vacation
Planned a family vacation upon my retirement. We needed 4 bedrooms to accommodate 4 separate household groups staying with us and this house was perfect! The descriptions are accurate and nothing is “oversold” on the website. We found that side-by-sides (SxS) were the way to go for local travel and runs into Los Barilles vs rental car. Jose and Armando are super friendly and attentive to any needs you might have (we will miss seeing them). Spencer is always friendly and super responsive if you have questions. For us, the best part of the home was its remote location, the private layout for multiple groups, the pool, the beach palapa, and the covered porch (ok, I listed almost everything). We do like our privacy and this house/location was absolutely perfect. Now that we have returned to the US, our kids have already responded that was the “trip of a lifetime” due to the location we chose. Snorkeling in front of the house was good and there is a great location just beyond the nearby resort. Only saw other people on the beach 2 days out of our 10 day stay. We have been to Cabo several times and much prefer the quieter Sea of Cortez side. Our choice to stay at “Los Arcos” could not have been better for our group of 7. Thanks Spencer, Jose, and Armando!

Los Arcos magnificos!
This is truly a beautiful place in a beautiful location. The house has plenty of space for everyone, the pool is nice and there is almost no one around so the beach is all yours! It is an adventure we will surely remember.

Family trip
Los Arcos is as advertised simply a gem in a magical area on the Sea of Cortez! Away from the crowds it's like booking your own boutique hotel. The pool and veranda were very nice features as well as world class snorkeling around the point. We enjoyed music and a bon fire one night on the private beach. Jose Maria and Armando the grounds keeper were very friendly and helpful during our stay. We recommend if making arrangements for prepared dinners which were wonderful and proportionally appropriate or fishing trips/ mariachi/any other request do so verbally and thru the whats app so nothing gets mixed up or lost in translation. El Cardinal the closest town is rural however we found that the Modelo market and Pacifico market across the street from each other had all of the essentials including ground coffee which was challenging to find. Friday thru Sunday there is a wonderful produce stand across the street from the school. Buyer beware if adding on days to the one day UTV included rental. We were quoted one price and charged another. Spencer is working with the grounds keeper to get the property up to his standards. Although the palm trees add ambiance they need trimmed and partially block watching sea life that the Sea of Cortez has to offer. Amazing place and host, we will be back!! Thank you Spencer for sharing your home!

PERFECT family retreat
Wow. Cannot say enough amazing things about this beautiful paradise. We've stayed in several rental houses along the Sea of Cortez and I just could not believe the views. They are perfectly framed by the architectural arches that elevate the authentic Mexican design of this massive property. I found myself outside as much as possible. When I needed to be inside to cook I would open the windows and curtains just so I could continue to enjoy the views. Beautiful swaying hammocks rock with the sea winds. The palms join the waves in an amazing melody of pure bliss. I paddled out on a SUP to find myself within yards of a whale. Carefully I paddled the opposite direction then enjoyed whale watching the remainder of our stay-and yes, very easy to spot whales from the wrap around outdoor spaces. This place is perfect for families who want to congregate in large common areas, but have the room to separate at night by having their own space and bathrooms. Even several of the outdoor areas can provide opportunities for several generations to do their own thing. I could go on forever. Take my word. This house is the destination. You will have the opportunity to order in food through the gracious host, or just walk down to the resort and enjoy the amazing cuisine they have to offer. Shrimp tacos were my favorite.

Los Arcos is a magical place.
A few years ago, we stayed at the Punta Pescadero Paradise Hotel, and walked along the row of homes north of the hotel. When I saw "Los Arcos," I wished we could bring our sons and their children there for a family retreat. When I found the home on VRBO, I was beyond pleased. We absolutely loved our time at Los Arcos. The three bedrooms facing the sea were especially gorgeous, and we loved the deck surrounding the house. The kitchen was well equipped for a rental. The kids had a great time on the beach and in the water. I do suggest bringing wetsuits if you come in January--the pool was too cold to use, and the sea water was also chilly. There were a few jellies, but not enough to keep people out of the water. From the deck we saw whales breaching, dolphins leaping, and manta rays jumping. In fact, several of the kids swam with the mantas. We also enjoyed four wheeling to a waterfall and rock paintings. Birdwatching was also very good. We love Los Arcos and can't wait to go back.

Family New Years reunion
Property is very well maintained. Had a bit of trouble with the plumbing in the casita but Armondo, Chino and Jose Maria were great and very attentive to our needs. Loved being able to call on them for food and a bit of grocery runs. We were so greatful to have them all there to help when needed. We had 10 in our group the house pool and beach were wonderful! A great time to decompress catch up on family and just enjoying time together. The Atvs were so much fun. We did travel into Los Barrilles for picklebAll. A must do! Over all everyone enjoyed the trip and had so much fun.

Nice family vacation!
This house fit my family vacation needs well. We had 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 children. The beach was beautiful, just down a couple flights of steps, we had enough space, and the house staff were very friendly and accommodating. The beach was pristine! We had 2 meals cooked by Griselda that were delicious, and we highly recommend her tres leches cake! A few notes for future stays: (1) The location is about 1 hour and 45 minutes from the Cabo airport. The roads can be quite rough for older adults with back issues. Definitely recommend an SUV rental. (2) Being remote with your own beach also means that there are fewer eating options. As other said, we would recommend stocking up on groceries in Los Barriles. Also, we loved the restaurant El Dona, which is 15 minutes north of the house. (3) This may have been seasonal, but during our Christmas stay, note that some days are quite windy, which make water activities tougher to take advantage of. Overall, lovely setup and lots of great memories in a beautiful setting!

Old Folks Family Getaway
WOW! Spacious and visually stunning. Seven family members all over 65 visited the first week of December. Never needed heat or air conditioning, just some sedatives to relax from the drive from Los Barriles. Had one of the best meals of my life cooked by Jose’s wife. A place to hang some clothes in the master bedroom and some grab bars in the bathroom would be appreciated.

Amazing wedding weekend at Los Arcos Estate
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Los Arcos! My now husband and I had a small ceremony on the beach with 20 family members and friends. Los Arcos was the perfect location for us to tie the knot! Jose Maria (the property manager) and Spencer (the owner) were both excellent at responding to emails and questions I had leading up to it. We catered both lunch and dinner and Jose Maria’s wife did an amazing job. The tres leche and carrot cakes were so delicious! I would highly recommend this place for a wedding, could be larger than 20 (just run the guest count by Spencer) or any event as well as just a place to stay. Having the hotel close by is also great because you could host other guests there. We didn’t find it an issue driving to the house in our truck/camper or our guests 2 wheel drive car. Just need to drive slowly My husband and I will be returning to celebrate anniversaries in the future!

A hidden gem
It’s true what they say about roads less traveled! Had a wonderful stay at Spencers home and would not hesitate to return. It’s a bit of work to get to this Punta Pescadero gem but I believe that’s what makes it so special and untouched. Pretty much had the beach to ourselves, the most amazing shell hunting, even saw a turtle mama laying her eggs right in front of the house! Recommend water shoes as it was rocky in front of the house. Very comfortable beds and air conditioning in each room that worked fantastic and was much appreciated. The side-by-side that was included for a day was great and would likely look into renting one for the entire stay. Definitely stock up with groceries before you get there as the house is isolated but the town of Cardinol a few mins away had some small restaurants and market that was very helpful and closer than los Barriles. I believe the hurricane washed out the roads so we found the road from Cardinol much easier to navigate getting to and from the house. We are already missing our spectacular morning sunsets and hope to return soon.

Summer family vacation 2022
The property was beautiful and everything u could want The view, the beds, all necessities beach towels, full stocked kitchen. It was great. Now it is 30 mins to town Los barellis down rough bumpy beautiful scenic road. Our rental van made it fine. Just real bumpy. We had been in Cabo the week before and came up to get away from the busy tourist trap. So we did bring groceries from Costco. We also had Jose the property manager’s wife cook for us two nights and it was delicious and great treat. The other nights we ate out in town for lunch and snacked. We rented atvs one day from Sergio. So fun. We went fishing one day from Jose’s brother. Didn’t catch anything but was great boat ride. We had massages on the porch. We played games at night. We snorkeled out front. Seam in the pool. One day went to Cabo pulmo to snorkel. Only three living coral reefs in North America. Go early to spend the day and take drinks and picnic. It’s breathtaking. Take the boat ride too out to the reef. It was wonderful. We had fresh coconut. Jose is the man. He is the property manager and can meet any request u ask. Spencer the owner was great communicating as well, but Jose came by every day and arranged everything. Great place. We had plenty of room and the ac’s work great. Great place to visit and get away We coming back one day. Great family summer vacation.

Best vacation ever!
We were a group of nine and never felt crowded in this gorgeous house. The view could not have been better. Besides the beautiful water, we saw whales and dolphin right in front of the house. We loved being right on the beach. The children spent hours in the pool while at least one adult basked in the sun on the patio. We found plenty of fish while snorkeling in a spot within walking distance. The fisherman in our group found lots of good fishing spots short drives from the house. We ate two meals prepared by the manager's wife which were delicious and also meals in a town just 15 minutes north. None of us wanted to leave and we started discussing a return trip for maybe next year. There is still the goal of catching a rooster fish.

Exactly what I was looking for in a quiet, sleepy, waterfront view. Owner and property manager were very easy to work with, flawless experience. Lots of sea life right at the beach. Would be nice to have a utv with the property as the road is a little bumpy for my daily local taco needs. 10/10 would stay again

Amazing house
We just spent a week with a party of 13 staying at this awesome property. It was an amazing location and experience and I strongly recommend it to others. As other reviewers have noted, it's very "off the beaten path," which in my view is a good thing because it's very quiet and the exact opposite of the crazy beaches in Cabo San Lucas on Spring Break. You definitely should ask Jose Maria's wife to cook dinner for you at least once, perhaps more than once, because it was absolutely delicious.

Amazing stay in this beautiful home
Jose Maria took care of every need that came up while staying in this amazing home. It’s exactly how it’s pictured in VRBO. We had planned to fish for 3 days, but the weather had other plans for us. We were lucky to have this place for the 2 days we couldn’t fish. I would definitely recommend it(and also recommend renting a sided by side) and would love to come back in the future!

Beautiful property, absolute gem
I had a short but lovely stay at Arcos. Large kitchen, everything was clean and Jose Maria the property manager was friendly and attentive. The hotel down the road has a nice restaurant if you prefer not to cook at home, maybe a 2 minute drive! The view is stunning and the area is perfectly quiet and peaceful.

What a fantastic stay! We loved the beach, the house and the beautiful, remote location. Jose Maria was extremely helpful and checked in multiple times during our stay to make sure we were finding everything and had what we needed. He is dealing with lots of other houses, though, so be sure to write down things for him. We rented an extra ATV from Jose Maria's brother and took the coast road to Los Barriles. That was beautiful drive. The waterfall was nice, if underwhelming when we went. But stopping at many of the different beaches along the way was much better. We also arranged a fishing trip through Jose Maria's other brother (he has lots of brothers and sisters). That was not great as we ended up out with a very young fellow named Juan and only had 3 bites in 7 hours. Not quite the exciting deep-sea fishing expedition we had hoped for but maybe that's par for the course or maybe it was just a slow fishing day. Either way, you should probably ask who will actually be on the boat before going. We had fun fishing from the beach. Lots of rockfish, and snappers. We even had a school of Yellowtail chase needlefish up onto the beach. The kids loved walking the beach, collecting shells and coral. On calm days, we went snorkeling and it was spectacular! So many different kinds of colorful fish directly off the beach. Would definitely come back to this amazing house. Thanks for having us!

Greg, glad you had a good stay and enjoyed the house. We recently installed a cellular repeater/amplifier at the house but even then the cell system in Mexico can be temperamental at times. A few yards walk south and you can get cell service. I use our high speed internet to make calls when the cell service acts up and I need to get some work or emails done. Mostly it works so well that we can stream movies!

Beautiful home and wonderful vacation getaway
We were a party of 11, adults and children. There was ample room for all to sleep as well as dine and enjoy the space. Los Arcos was absolutely beautiful - wonderful sunrises and nice breezes on hot days. Jose Maria took good care of us and helped arrange for ATV's for a fun day's outing - along wish a $300 credit from Spencer (thank you very much for that). We ordered a meal from Jose Maria's wife Griselda - WOW.. The food was excellent and so plentiful even for a group our size, we ate for a couple days. Los Arcos was very, very clean also when we arrived. Thank you to Jose Maria, his uncle the caretaker and other helpers for making our stay very memorable. If we come back to Punta Pescadero in the future I would certainly rent this Casa Grande again!!

Mexico Vacation
Overall the vacation was amazing. Jose was very attentive to our needs and Griselda's food was delicious. I would highly recommend having her cook for your main evening meals. She'll make whatever you want. A few of my family members had abdominal sicknesses after we ate out. Very private home away from the beaten path. Perfect if you'd like to be secluded. Great for relaxing but a little low key for young teenagers. Drive was very rocky to get to the closest town of Los Barriles. I would not recommend driving the ocean scenic route unless you have a 4 wheel drive or ATV. We loved the morning on the kayaks and paddle boards. Ocean was so calm. The beach was rocky so I'd recommend bringing water shoes and sunscreen. Plenty of towels and gear to go snorkeling. The boat ride was nice but didn't catch any fish. Don't forget to go through Jose for ATVs. The other companies don't accept the voucher for one free day. Loved hanging around the pool but it was very warm....not enough to cool down but the inside AC felt great. The hotel close by had great service and drinks and very few guests. Loved the guest house that had 3 beds with AC. Thanks again to Jose, Griselda and Spencer for a great vacation.

We had the best time at Los Arcos! The house and staff were all great. Jose-Maria took good care of us and his wife’s food was delicious. We had a fun day on the Polaris and also rented an ATV which I’d recommend. I’d also recommend renting an SUV if you are driving in, we rented a mini van because we needed 7 seats but a SUV would have worked better on the beach road. Spencer was super responsive with answering any questions we had. The place is a real treasure, thanks for sharing it with us!

Great Place and Location
We had a great time! Jose, met us at the house when we got there and was very helpful the whole time. If we need anything he arranged it for us. We had plenty to do. Paddle boarded, fished, walked the beach, played games, explored, went on the ATV's. eat at the restaurants close by, went into town, and some dinners brought to the house! (Very good food and cheep). We also cooked some meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had a great time with family.

This house was great for 8 of us. A huge deck and nice pool to hang out outside. The beach was beautiful . We enjoyed the firepit one night. Everyone had their own space with the bedrooms. JoseMaria was prompt in helping us and very nice. Spacious house it had everything we needed. I would stay here again!

We had a group of 8 at Los Arcos and the house was awesome! Spencer was great to work with and Jose Maria was there when needed but gave us plenty of privacy as well. We couldn't recommend a better place to stay, close enough to town but remote enough to be completely by yourself. The house is well stocked with everything one could need.

Beautiful peaceful home
If you're seeking a beautiful stay in a quiet locale, Los Arcos is the place! We loved the house and it was an added bonus to be within walking distance of Punta Pescadero Paradise resort with it's great bar and restaurant. Jose Maria and crew were friendly, attentive and helpful. The meal his wife prepared for us the night of our arrival was lovely. Sergio was also awesome with easy ATV rental delivered and picked up at the door (thanks for the free day Spencer!) and scrambling to provide transport to the airport for our kids and dropping us off at the rental car agency to replace the car key we lost, miraculously found later on the beach and returned to us! A day fishing with Roberto is a must. He knows his stuff and we caught 3 bonito, with the added bonus of seeing turtles and whales. Seeing things from the water is a wonderful perspective. We enjoyed hanging at the house by the beautiful pool and exploring the beach road to friendly Los Barilles or charming El Cardinal. We are planning a return as soon as we're able to travel freely again! We loved the detailed information you provided beforehand. Very helpful! We had a great trip and didn't want to come home. Thanks for sharing your house with us. Take care until next time!

Remarkable spot, house and hosts
I hesitate a little to leave this review, because I feel like this is such a secret spot and will soon be discovered. Can't say enough good things about out stay here. We had three families with 5 young kiddos (ages 3 - 9). House was perfect - giant with lots of room for kids to run (literally) - from front yard to the giant porches to the beach. Jose Maria, his wife Griselda and the owner Spencer were incredible hosts. They made the everything easy, answered all our questions, and recommended some great things to do (organizing most of them themselves). Jose Maria's family cooked many of our meals, all fantastic. The hotel down the street was equally accommodating, friendly and helpful. We ate several meals at the Punta Pescadero Hotel and had many drinks on their beach. The beach at the hotel (about a 10 minute walk from house) is much calmer and much more sandy than the beach immediately in front of the house - much better for kids. The beach directly in front of the house is perfect at low tide for exploring tide pools - lots of wildlife to spot for kids. Also, the pool was perfect for post-beach activity - it has a shallow and deep end - ranging from 2.5 to 5 feet - again, perfect for small kids. Can't say enough good things about out experience with the house and the hosts. Recommend very highly. We will be back!

Isolated Paradise
Absolutely loved staying at los Arcos. We were 12 friends meeting up in Baja and this was a great place to do it. We ordered many meals from Jose Maria and they were all very good and so nice to have them just delivered to the house. Ocean views were amazing. It was pretty windy while we were there but we didn’t know that is typical of the area in advance. Definitely rent ATVs if you go! Overall the on-site staff was really amazing as was Jose Maria and the house were all great. The house is so big and spread out that it never got overwhelming with a large group. I would recommend this house for any group of folks!

We loved this }VRBO! When we contacted Spencer he always replied within a half day, or less. There is a fun restaurant at hotel within ~5 minutes away, and many restaurants within 45 minutes in Los Barriles. We had fun going out on Paddle Boards and Kayaks. We also really enjoyed the Dune Buggy (holds 1-4 people) and ATVs (had 2 ATVs, and they hold 1- 2 people), we had them each for 24 hours each so we all got to use them and had a blast! Perfect Holiday for Christmas!!!

Punta Pescadero getaway
The house is large and roomy. All bedrooms and bathrooms are large and very clean. The house has a huge veranda overlooking the Sea of Cortez with a spectacular view. The kitchen is large with everything a chef could want. The house also has a large freezer that can hold all the fish you catch during your stay. I highly recommend Spencer's house, we had a great time.

My family and I just returned from about a week's visit to Baja California which included a 5 day stay at Los Arcos. All I can say is it was an amazing and outstanding experience. The property is beautiful, spacious, clean and included every amenity we could possibly need. The location, the house, views and the area were simply amazing - everything we were looking for in our visit (every part of the house was outstanding, same for the pool, the beach and everything else - all in one place is just amazing) The website description and the past guest reviews are accurate and reliable. About the only thing I can add is that the pictures don't do it justice - you really have to see the property and the setting for yourself . Everyone in our group was just mesmerized from the moment we arrived and we cant wait to go back. The booking process, the communication with Spencer and the attention onsite by the property manager Jose Maria was outstanding; we have zero complaints and can only very highly recommend to anyone who is considering visiting Los Arcos.

Back again to Los Arcos
Los Arcos is a fantastic property to bring a large group of friends and family to Punta Pescador. This is my second visit to this property and I'm quite sure it will not be my last. I like the large wrap around patio, it is a great gathering area with a beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez. The kitchen is well stocked with anything a chef could want or need. (we had two chefs with us) The bedrooms open out to the patio with the master in the main living area, enough separation to afford everyone all the privacy they needed. The house manager Jose Maria will take care of anything you need, from rental ATV's to fishing trips or bringing a delicious meal to you to kick of your vacation. There are several good restaurants in the small town of El Cardonel a shorter distance from the house than the bigger town of Los Barilles , La Hornilla, Cielito Lindo in the hotel and the small hut La Dona' is great for breakfast and lunch. You also must try Antonio's taco stand in the park across from the school on Saturday and Sunday nights. Last but not least the owner Spencer is great at communicating with you before your trip, and answers emails promptly. Thanks Spencer
