Amazing!!
My husband and I went for 7 days to celebrate my birthday. We had an amazing time the staff is super nice our room was small but perfect for just us two, it was kept clean and stock up. The staff was amazing at the surfer bar right beside the family pool, Jose and Ivette did an amazing job taking care of us, our drinks would be half gone and they would already bring a new one, not to mention Jose helped my husband surprise me every day for my birthday with flowers special message on a plate and a romantic dinner at the beach. I had a beautiful birthday week and would definitely recommend Krystal Grand, we will definitely be coming back!

My stay at Krystal Grand was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff is very welcoming and they are super helpful with everything! The hotel has about 6 restaurants included in it and the food was very delicious and tasted gourmet. The only downside about this hotel is that the beach that is near the hotel in San Jose is not safe to swim in because of the dangerous currents, but the hotel offers about 3 very large pools.

Photos are deceiving. I made the mistake to choose this hotel because it was cheaper than the rest and I regret it. Food is ok in the buffet area but the restaurants where you need to reserve the food is really bad. The room they gave us is not even in the property, they take you in a van to other building! The good ones you see in the picture an extra charge of $50 dollars a night. I found that to be the worse part of the vacation since we were not close ti the beach or pool. I went to other hotels in the area and are superb. Do not try to save money choosing this one, you will regret it.

It's all about the all inclusive
they upgraded me for free, it's a pretty property, pools were a bit foggy, not enough lounge chairs for all the guest. But the food and drinks were good.

Good all inclusive hotel on a budget
My husband and i stayed here for our anniverary i was leary after reading some reviews but figured it was worth trying for myself. I booked the residence room but got one on the krystal grand side. So i guess kinda an up grade. The residence is not far from main resort actually it is closer to the adult pool and the al la carte resturants, so if the rooms look the same i would have been happy either way.. Pros: the grounds were beautiful and maintained, the rooms were clean comfortable and beautiful, food at the restaurants was really good, we especially like the Hibachi Grill.. the buffet even had some options that were good for midday snacks like fresh grilled shrimp yum..Cons: when we ate at the Hibachi Grill my husband wanted to try the lobster which was amazing by the way. But when asked how much it was we were told one price and when we got the bill it was another. I read a previous review about the same situation so we were very specific and asking how much would we need to pay in u.s. dollars we asked more than once to two different people we were told the same number. When the bill came it was twice as much. We talked to the manager and the manager stated the waiter would have to pay for it since it was his mistake.If you're going to order anything extra make sure you know what it's going to be.Could have been more channels on TV in English. But that was okay cuz we wasn't in the room much.And I wish we knew about the After Hours Sports Bar, staff said there was none

Absolutely LOVED this hotel. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were clean and spacious, i couldnt be any happier. It is a bit of a distance from Cabo San Lucas but i overall loved the aesthetics of this hotel and cant wait to return. Def a GO!!!

Check-in nightmare but overall great stay
It took us three times and multiple personnel to check in. We booked a newly remodeled 1 bedroom suite, they said they were closing that building because it wasn’t very full. At first we were given a small standard room with 1 bed for our family of 4. Then we were offered a 2bedroom suite, this room was very outdated which I didn’t mind since it was bigger. However we then realized the phones didn’t work, the AC didn’t work, and when trying to shower it filled up past my ankles in minutes and someone’s else’s hair was floating everywhere. Again the front desk told me nothing could be done, I kept fighting and eventually got the exact room that I booked. This room was very nice and clean and everything we hoped for. The resort itself was very new, well designed, and ample staff. Beautiful pools. Food and drinks were good. Beach access and swim ability were great. Overall we had a great stay. It’s too bad we had to spend hours with small kids getting the run around initially for no good reason to check in.

Pleasant experience
Staff were really friendly and provided hospitable service. The facility was clean and new. I really appreciated the kindness and effort they put into servicing the guests. However there were a few things though: 1) one of the bulbs attached to the fans at the Grill restaurant spontaneously broke. Luckily no one was sitting directly underneath it and got injured. 2) I got really bad food poisoning from eating the fruit at the breakfast buffet. A few hours later I ended up continuously vomiting on my flight to Mexico City. It was really disappointing because I was unable to venture Mexico City during my 8 hour layover because I felt so ill. Instead I ended up paying $200 to stay at the Hilton Mexico City Airport to recover before returning home..

Very nice all inclusive hotel
I enjoyed staying here. I'm very picky with the food I eat and I was always able to find things to eat at the buffet. The food quality & variety was very good. The internet was good. It cut out a few times but not too much. I was able to make all my business calls on Skype in my room or by the pool.

We really enjoyed the smaller hotel atmosphere. It was clean and comfortable. Food was good. However ala carte restaurants took too long to get your food, two hours most nights. Main buffet had good options but most of the food was luke warm at best. We did have an issue with management and how they handled an issue involving staff that were ultimately terminated. A handful of people, including my daughter, all adults, and some entertainment staff went into Cabo one night clubbing. An underage girl (17) ended up going along. Because her father did not tell the mother, she didn't know and ended up calling security who then contacted management. The next day those staff were terminated. After speaking to hotel management at length, they assured us that only the staff member who drove would be terminated and they would be in touch with me via phone and email. I do not believe the other staff should have been fired. One, the girl lied about being 18. Two, if not for my daughter (who had just met her before going) and the staff member she was with, keeping an eye on her, I'm afraid to think what might have happened to this girl because she was extremely intoxicated and kept leaving the group. I understand consequences but I believe this could have been handled completely different. I even called management from the US for a final disposition, and my call was not answered by management nor did I receive a call back. I am extremely disappointed in this.

Employees NOT knowledgable of resort, check in staff have no common sense, not enough waiters at pools took forever for food and drinks , hot tub broken and small for resort, maid are not trained at all!! Had to call in every day for items like coffee/water/beer/ towels and even ask her once to sweep the condo🙈, 99% of resorts shuts down at 10pm!, no music in adult pool bar we had to bring our own blue tooth speaker . I would fire the head manager and give other makers 30 days to train entire staff!! The resort show lack of leadership and training Over all a 3 star hotel, food better then most all inclusive,

Great hotel right on the beach
I stayed at the Krystal Grand for only 3 nights while travelling in the Baja. This is a very clean and comfortable hotel with good amenities.

The hotel is very nice, great location, spacious clean rooms, pleasant staff, abundance of food and drinks. They would receive a 5 star from me if the servers did not get so overwhelmed at times. At the buffet and the restaurants the service can be either excellent or terrible to the point you think they forgot your order. It all depends on which server you get so try to stick with the one that you really liked. And tips can go a long way as well!!

An ok experience
Rooms are decent, as advertised. Mini bars only have 4 cans of beer, water and pop in them. Room service is extra. Service was inconsistent, some servers were amazing & others were not. The cafe & lobby bar were nice. Food was ok, not bad but not great. I’ve stayed at many different resorts in Mexico, this one’s not my fave.

Great location, nice facilities but...
The hotel location is great. The beach is not really swimmable but that is ok. The grounds are very nice and well maintained. The pools are very nice. At night they have large fire pits on the beach. A very nice touch. However, the restaurants leave a little to be desired. The buffet restaurants were better than the a la carte restaurants. The food at the Mexican and Japanese restaurants was horrible. The Italian restaurant had good tasting food, but our waiter messed up our order and we ended up getting some of our food after our dessert. All of the restaurants, except the Asian one, were open air and unfortunately at the time we went, there was a cold wind (17 Celcius or mid 60's) so you were not comfortable when eating. There is a little café right next to the Asian restaurant that was very nice. I travel for work a lot an am used to high end restaurants so maybe I am just being too picky. The other problem with the resort is that there are conventions there which is fine. A lot of the convention goers were a lot of fun and nice people to talk to. However, they would do an outdoor dinner in the middle grounds and then have music. It was loud until about 11 30 Pm or so and then they would move it elsewhere but still be very loud and we could still hear it at 12:20 AM. Noise is an issue at times.

Amazing hotel for the price!!!
My husband and I were very impressed with our stay at Residence at Krystal Grand. We usually stay at hotels rated 4 stars or higher, but decided to try this one out, even though it is rated less than 4 stars on expedia. On trip advisor it is rated as a 4 star hotel. The food was very good at all the restaurants and the staff was kind and hard working! The hotel was excellent for the price we paid! We loved the fact that there was a separate pool for adults only, which is quiet in comparison to the main pools. The beach has very comfortable cabanas and lounge beach chairs. This hotel is definitely worth going to for the price!!!

Misleading & disappointing room, Nice Resort
The first thing you need to know about the "Residence By..." is the fact that you are staying in a separate building off the main resort property along side the highway. We paid for a 1 bedroom, King Suite. We arrived to a crappy room with crappy twin beds with a small fold-out couch in main room which was supposed to sleep 4. The couch didn't include any pillows or bedding. I called down to ask why I didn't get the King Suite I paid for. They told me they could come push the twin beds together if I would like. They did eventually deliver a sheet and 2 crappy pillows for the couch. The shower also barely has water pressure and the hot water was warm for a while and turned cold shortly after. We has all inclusive. Because we had kids, we stuck with the buffet. As far as this type of place goes, the food was decent but our expectations were not too high. The all inclusive drinks were also decent but there were frequently lines up to 15-20 minutes to get a drink by the pool. When we asked for pool towels, they said they were out but would have more in 15-20 minutes. we came back every half hour for two hours and never got a towel. The pools were rather cold and the only hot-tubs are by the adult only pool. After getting out of the frigid pool, not having towels was not ideal. The over-all property was somewhat nice and we had fun but it you have any expectations of having a nice room or good customer service I'd go elsewhere.

Overall for the price this is a great deal. The food served throughout the day was mediocre and only available until 10pm so no midnight snacks. But the breakfast buffet was pretty good. We didn’t eat at any of the sit down restaurants as you had to stand in line the second they opened to make a reservation. The pools and beach was nice and clean. However, you must get out to the pool by 10am to get a towel and even earlier to get a chair. The drinks were good and relatively strong. They originally tried to put us in an upgraded room which would’ve been awesome but the room only had 1 bed and we specifically booked a room with 2 beds because we had 4 people. So we had to wait an extra hour and a half to check in because the room we originally booked, with 2 beds wasn’t ready yet. So overall our stay wasn’t awful but it wasn’t anything that special either. I’d probably pay a little more and stay at a nicer all inclusive next time.

Worst Mexico experience ever
King bed was 2 mattresses put together. Room was extremely far from everything. Room was really dirty, and it still wasn’t cleaned after we brought it to their attention multiple times. Closets were never dusted by the looks of things. Manager and front desk were EXTREMELY rude. We ended up calling Expedia and switching hotels. Thank you to Expedia. This hotel is by far the worst out of many times that we’ve been to Mexico.

Buckets of ice cold beer on the beach!
The Krystal Grand is nice, the food is good and you can't beat buckets of ice cold beer on the beach! The Residence part leaves something to be desired. There is noise from the traffic and it is a hike from the front desk. The good part about the residence side is you don't have to worry about people yelling around the pool in the middle of the night or early morning. Make sure you visit the deli/coffee shop tucked behind the lobby bar in the main hotel for your daily latte fix.

Newer hotel . Nice but no swimming beach
The front desk guy at check in didnt give good diteccions to the room..he said 4th floor didnt explained that my room was at the other side on another building..hotel is very nice .. very nice rooms with full kitchen.. food ok.. nothing impressive.. Overall for the price very nice.. bus is right across the street for 3 dollars.. very convenient. staff ok but not extra friendly like other hotels that i stay before..can improve..

Great stay!
Has a really great time at this resort! There was a list of daily activities that you can take part in which was really nice. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. I stayed in the residence and wasn’t aware that it was across the street from the main hotel so had to walk a bit, unsure if the listing wasn’t clear or if it was my misunderstanding. The room was great. Basic, clean, had all that it needed to.

Relaxing luxury resort hotel
My sister and I stayed in this beautiful resorts to celebrate her college graduation and to relax. The Krystal Grand sits right on the beach in San Jose del Cabo (the quiet side of town). Our room had a pool and ocean view with a balcony. Our coffee/water/cocktails were replenished daily. Cozy robes and slippers were provided in our room. Lots of delicious options for dinner, adult only pool with a swim up bar, fire pits on the beach in the evening, on-site spa....Staff was kind and helpful. We hope to back again.

Nice all-inclusive by Beach!
This was a nice all-inclusive close to San Jose Del Cabo. There were three pools and some suites with swim up rooms and lap pool. The adult pool was nice but chilly in January. Staff were pleasant, sometimes inconsistent with service but there were several staff that stand out such as Leonardo in the buffet, Hugo, and several in "The Grill." The best food was The Grill, the buffet had a LOT of choices, the Mexican restaurant was good, Italian was just Ok, the Japanese restaurant was nice, I would have liked to try the hibachi rather than off the menu choices and I'm not much for sushi..however, Japanese food fans will be pleased. There was some evening entertainment. Our experience was good and the price for what we got was amazing. The staff work hard and keep the grounds nice. Violetta in sales was especially warm and friendly. And the housekeeping staff work hard also.

Oh Wow! It was amazing and spectacular! Christian, Monica and all the activity team was outstanding! People swim in the ocean, only 20 mins from the airport, beautiful hotel and staff is all so friendly! Food is delicious at ALL the restaurants so live the All inclusive! Worth every penny we spent... fare price just wanted softer bed... only thing that I would change! Muchas Gracias!!! Omg and we saw whales off the balcony!!!

this "residence" by krystal grand is definitely a forgettable experience. unless if you don't need to sleep in the room, and if you don't leave valuables in the room. because you won't be able to sleep, it's very loud from the street.... and the maid will come in and steal all your money... hotel management won't do anything about it. you've been warned.

not worth the headache
a few problems with our stay.... 1. we were placed in a separate building that's much lower in standards compared to the main building. (building 3) it faces the street, with 24/7 road noise and construction noise... we couldn't sleep at all.... 2. our maid was a thief... she came into our room everyday to steal money. we reported her to the hotel security, and formally wrote a report. she was back the next day to steal more money. even after we told her we didn't want our rooms cleaned. she still came back in the afternoon to steal.... another report was filed, and she was back at it again the third day. what a rat. 3. hotel staff apologized for the inconvenience, and told us they would follow up with a resolution for the loss of money. nothing ever happened. food was actually ok, some of the staff was nice, a few others were rude....

HORRIBLE PLACE DON'T STAY
This was the worst resort ever! It took them 3 hours to check us into 2 different rooms. One the toilet didn't work, the other the AC didn't work for over 24 hours, their all inclusive restaurants didn't have a full menu and no utensils. They kept using the excuse that they were short staffed. There was a roach in our room, on the property there was trash everywhere!!

Horrible check-in
This hotel is seriously a bad one. I had the horrible experience of trying to check-in only to have the room we get into to be under serious construction... lucky the bell hop saw the room and took us back to the front desk. Only for the front desk attendant to put us in a room that had bleach spilled in it. Needless to say ... I didn’t check in at all. And had to find a new hotel last min.

The Old Switch A Roo.
Hands down the worst experience I have had in memory. This is a 1/2 a star hotel based on the service, 1 star based on our accommodations. Our room was front and center on the highway. It was so loud we could not sleep a wink. I am 100% dissatisfied with this experience. We checked out ASAP once we were able to secure another hotel room. Our time together is far too important to spend it unhappy at a sub standard hotel with terrible service.

BAIT & SWITCH HOTEL - CHECKED OUT AFTER 1 NIGHT
This hotel was rated as a 4 Star Hotel and the pictures looked nice so I took a chance and booked a suite with a king bed for 3 nights. When I checked in they took me to my room which had 2 twin size beds. I told the bellman that I had paid for a king and he said I should ask for the manager, Caesar, and request a king. I called reception and asked for Caesar but the man at reception said he was very busy and unable to talk. I told him I had been put in the wrong room and needed to have a king because I not only prepaid but I was traveling with my 2 Kids. He said Caesar would call me in 1-2 hours and would work on the room situation. My kids and I waited in the room, in our soaking bathing suits for 1.5 hours without showering or leaving to eat assuming we would be moving rooms shortly. Caesar never called so I called reception again but no one picked up. I walked to the lobby in the hopes that I could find someone who could help me. The guy at the check in counter said they were at capacity and that there was nothing they could do. However, they could “help me out” and send over housekeeping to put my twin beds together in about 20 minutes. Turns out no one ever came to put the beds together so I had to move furniture around with my 2 kids so we could all sleep on 2 singles. There was a pull out couch but no sheets on it and it smelled like vomit. Rooms were so close to highway I felt like I was sleeping on the 405. The lies and complete lack of service was appalling.

All the pictures on Expedia are of the newly renovated rooms and section of hotel. This is NOT the section that we were put in. Our room was very far from the rest of the hotel plus the beds were tiny. I’m 5’0 and I barely fit in the bed. The shower was either too hot or too cold. You couldn’t get an in between The handle for the towels fell off twice The restaurant food is great but you do need to plan ahead to get a table or reservations. It’s close to the beach but you’re not supposed to go into the ocean because it’s not safe.

Nice hotel view to beach
Hotel is ok, is a good environment for families and kids. The food was perfect for us, my husband enjoyed the bar service, good drinks. I enjoyed the activities at the pool. Only one thing to do not surprise you. this hotel is at San Jose del Cabo and not at Cabo San Lucas, there is 20 min distance.

for the price I paid, i expected much more. Restaurants The food was OK and never seemed to change. One meal we ordered the same thing and one was great and one was terrible. If you want to eat at the Japanese restaurant, realize there are two separate reservations (one for the restaurant and one for hibachi). You better make this reservation as soon as your arrive if you care to eat there during your stay. Christmas dinner was worse than regular dinner. Staff restaurant and bar staff were great. The front desk seemed to ALWAYS be understaffed. Concierge did not answer phone at all to make reservation. I invested an hour of my vacation in person at front desk in line to try to resolve problems that were not resolved. Room We stayed in the attached add on closest to the beach. The balcony door did not lock. The sliding wooden doors took 30 mins to get closed the first day and that was after taking them off track and fixing it. The A/C didn't cool below 21C even though it was set at 10C. The shower was loud and the water could not all be forced from faucet to shower so the pressure was low. The tub was a jacuzzi (didn't try it) with a big step. The wifi did not work in the room at all. When I complained, they told me it was not suppose to work in the room only the common area even though the website and the resort info sheet said inroom wifi! Wifi in common area was spotty and slow, but I could pay a fee to upgrade to a better room where wifi would work.
