The front desk gave a stranger a key to our room. I had left my wife in the room to go run some errands, and the stranger attempted to enter the room. After multiple failed attempts due to the door catcher being activated from inside the room, he left. My wife called me scared and freaking out, we also had our 4 month old in the room with her. She refused to call the front desk because she was concerned about not being able to reach me fast enough if he returned. So I called the front desk 7 or 8 times. no answer.
He then returned to the room with a hotel employee, they opened the door slightly enough to deactivate the door catcher, and my wife started trying to politely notify them that the room was occupied. They apologized and left. the following night we arrived back at the hotel late, and our keys no longer worked. We got back into our rooms for the night and at checkout the following morning, the gentleman checking out ahead of us was reviewing his receipt. His name was not on his receipt, it was someone else's name. They had applied his Hilton points to someone else. I expected a nice leisurely stay at the double tree. I will by trying another Hotel in Lubbock at our next visit.
