Was nice to relax in the sitting room at the end of the day. Comfy chairs. Just a small nighle. Would like to have had options of decaf coffee and hot chocolate with a couple of biscuits. I did get decaff when i asked. Not a problem. The rooms are lovey, tastefully decorated with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is perfect, everything you could want to start the day the right way. The best thing though is the staff. Each and every one of them provide the finest Lancashire Hospitality and this is what sets it apart from other hotels and bnb’s in the local area. Nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The icing on the cake is being a dog friendly place to stay, knowing we can bring our dog just makes it a fantastic experience. Thank you to Sue and all the wonderful team at Howarth House. We received a lovely welcome and was given the keys to our room. It was a lovely bright room with a small balcony which was a great addition. The room had everything you needed for a short stay. The bathroom was small but had everything you needed. We had a comfortable nights sleep and the breakfast was lovely all freshly cooked. Everyone was friendly. Loads of little touches that the kids loved. Slept really well not a scrap if light through the curtains, all still fast asleep at 9am. Tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. Parking not great as only 6 spaces and really tight but managed to park free on the next side street. Owner/host really friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.
