I stayed for six nights - an older, solo traveler. I was greeted warmly by the owners, and I found all the staff members I had contact with to be friendly, helpful, and informative. I also found the other guests to be cheerful and interesting, no doubt an outgrowth of Pensao Mirasol's atmosphere, when we interacted in the dining area. I'll stay there again the next time I'm in Funchal.

Good service, needs refurbishment
The owners/managers are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. The place needs a bit of refurbishment, the beds are not super comfy and in general it looks a bit tired. We were not spending any time in the room as we were hiking and joining other activities, so it was fine for us. I would not stay for more than a couple of days.

Discerning travellers
Hotel had character and the staff were very helpful in accommodating our needs. However, there was traffic noise due to the narrow streets and corner location. Generally, the hotel was good value for money and I can recommend it to travellers on a limited budget. The location in the old town is excellent and close to many facilities.

Great bargain.
This a very decent place for the price. The bed is hard and the bathroom tight.Can be noisy. But for the price ,I will go back .

Little hidden gem
Lovely welcome and breakfast. The rooms are clean and excellent value for the money. We would stay there again, Umberto is a great host who looks after his guests

We arrived at the Mirassol, and then were then taken to another sub standard hotel in town which was nothing like the accommodation we had thought we were getting. When we confronted the management the next day we were fed a slush of nonsensical excuses, instead of an apology for this hash up.We enjoyed our stay in Madeira, but that was not due to the Mirasol hotel.

Great family pensao, great location
Mr Horta is a star, very friendly, very helpful. The location was also superb in the old part of town: we could walk to everywhere we wanted to go in just a few minutes (old town, shops, teleferico, cathedral, beach, swimming pool, pick up point for levada walks). Others have mentioned it's located up a hill, which it is, but it's a very small hill. I wouldn't have thought it worth mentioning. We did ask to move rooms after a couple of nights because we were near a noisy neighbour's dog, which they did for us and that was a great improvement. There were roadworks outside for the duration, which meant we had no traffic. I don't know how noisy the road would be normally. I'd go back, definitely: the room was all we needed, the family were lovely, and the breakfast was pretty substantial too if you wanted it.

Incomodado pela recepção 4 vezes para me pedir para sair do quarto mais cedo…quarto sem telefone para ligar para a recepção… o quarto Atribuído foi no quarto piso sem elevador…. Televisão sem comando .. pedi na recepção a televisão não funciona. Precisei de sair às quatro da manhã por motivos pessoais o recepcionista estava a dormir num sofá …a acordou com o sinalizador sonoro la instalado e veio me exigir que lhe entregasse as chaves do quarto e da porta de acessio a entrada …. Um serviço pouco profissional excessivo na relação preço /qualidade

Un établissement dans une rue calme, idéalement placé pour visiter le centre-ville à pieds. Un accueil familial chaleureux, le gérant parle plusieurs langues, dont le français et l’anglais, et se montre disponible pour les conseils et l’aide à la location d’un véhicule. Un petit déjeuner copieux. Un lieu que nous avons quitté à regrets. Nous y retournerons.

Petite pension de charme
C'était la première fois que nous sommes allés à Madère, nous avons été surpris de la gentillesse des gens. Surtout Umberto de chez Mirasol, très à l'écoute, d'une serviabilité exemplaire. Nous ne sommes restés que 2 jours dans sa pension mais tout était parfait. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement.

Hotel idéal.
Merveilleuse adresse pour séjourner à Madère. Accueil très chaleureux et très attentionné d'Umberto de son père et du personnel. Cet établissement est confortable, silencieux et très bien situé par rapport au vieux Funchal. Possibilité de garer sa voiture au garage de l'hotel. Allez y les yeux fermés !

Quando le persone fanno la differenza!!! E' una pensione economica ma che riesce, grazie alla cortesia e disponibilità del personale (conduzione famigliare per lo più), Umberto e Joau in primis, ad offrire quanto promesso. Non e' il Ritz, ma a questo prezzo chi lo cerca? Posizione eccezione e strategica che consente di andare ovunque senza macchina. La prima impressione inganna sicuramente: e' un posto che va conosciuto ed apprezzato insieme al suo squisito personale. Bravi!

UNE PENSION BIEN SITUEE DANS LA VIEILLE VILLE
Propriétaire très serviable qui nous a même imprimer nos billets d'avion. Pension de style ancien bien située, accueil chaleureux, nous recommandons cet hôtel pour visiter Funchal et Madère. Prix très attractif avec le petit déjeuner compris.

eenvoudig familiehotel in aangename rustige buurt
een eenvoudige maar nette kamer met een goed bed hadden we nodig voor deze wandelvakantie - we kregen het 2 mooie weken. ongevraagd kregen we er ook een zeer persoonlijk contact bij van de zelfwerkende eigenaars/uitbaters van dit familiehotel dat het hotel gelegen was in een volkse omgeving op wandelafstand van het centrum en dicht bij strand en restaurantbuurt en ver weg van de hotelwijk was een belangrijke meevaller.

Madeira är ett paradis för den som vill gå långa promenader och tycker om blommande växter. Skulle vilja uppmana styret på Madeira att satsa på att hålla levadorna i skick. Som det är nu blir det ibland lite väl spännande. Utrusta dig med vattenflaska och pannlampa för tunnlarna och ta landsvägsbussarna upp i bergen. Det är sällan långt till en levada ifrån varje samhälle där bussen stannar. En tur ut till Decertas Islands kan också rekommenderas, för valskådning, delfiner, sköldpaddor och sjöfågelskådning

Familiengeführtes Hotel in sehr günstiger Lage
Das Hotel befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Altstadt. Zahlreiche Restaurants, der Markt, eine Badestelle, die Seilbahn nach Monte, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Gastgeber sind durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alle sprechen englisch, der Junior des Hauses spricht ebenfalls sehr gut deutsch. Die Einrichtung sowie das ganze Hotel sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und so strahlt alles einen leicht morbiden Charme aus. Das WLAN war in unserem Zimmer so gut wie unbenutzbar, was aber kein Problem darstellte, schließlich waren wir im Urlaub und nicht beruflich unterwegs. Auch die Parksituation könnte problematisch werden, sobald mehrere Gäste mit dem Auto anreisen. Unbedingt vor der Anreise klären. Ansonsten befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe ein Parkhaus welches 2,90€ am Tag berechnet, also sehr übersichtlich. Das Frühstück ist sehr eintönig aber OK bei dem Preis. Für alle die eine günstig gelegene Unterkunft lediglich zum Schlafen suchen und morgens nicht mit leerem Magen aus dem Haus gehen möchten, eine klare Empfehlung. Für All-inclusive Reisende oder Menschen mit sehr hohem Platzbedarf wohl eher nicht geeignet.

A residencial tem um clima familiar muito agradável. É muito asseada, apesar de ser um edifício antigo, o pequeno almoço é muito reconfortante e são todos muito prestáveis, para além do expectável. A localização é ótima tendo em conta os pontos de interesse da cidade do Funchal. Foi uma experiência muito positiva.

Alojamiento calidad/precio en pleno Funchal
El trato del personal, especialmente del Señor Joao, ha sido excelente: Siempre muy atento con el viajero en lo que al servicio de la pensión se refiere. Y dando además, información precisa de los servicios que la ciudad de Funchal ofrece al visitante. El servicio de limpieza muy disciplinado y respetando los enseres del huésped. El módico precio del alojamiento incluye un buen desayuno continental. La pensión esta a cinco minutos a pié del centro antiguo de Funchal (teleférico) o bien del Mercado dos Lavradores, así como de la zona de la fortaleza de Sao Tiago. Pueden haber otros alojamientos más cercanos, pero no al precio de este hostal. Posee justo enfrente una parada de autobuses donde paran dos líneas del servicio local (Horarios do Funchal) Resumiendo, repetiría en dicho alojamiento si volviese a Funchal.

Hotel bardzo w porządku, obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Służyli wszelkimi informacjami, bez problemowy kontakt w języku angielskim nasz pokój mieścił się w drugim budynku przez to internet był bardzo słaby. nieopodal dość ruchliwa ulica więc do późnych godzin słuchać przejeżdżające samochody. Pokój bardzo czysty. łózko podwójne składało się niestety z dwóch pojedynczych, które bardzo łatwo się rozsuwały. Monotonne śniadania, ale wszytko bardzo smaczne.

Cet établissement est plutôt bien situé, proche des rues piétonnes qui regorgent des restaurants. Le personnel a été très chaleureux et n'a pas hésité à nous rendre service (changement d'horaires pour le petit déjeuner, billets pour une croisière...). La chambre était propre et j'ai bien aimé la décoration simple mais authentique dans cette belle demeure. En revanche, la chambre donnait sur la rue passante et bruyante. Je recommande cet hotel pour quelques nuits afin de faire la connaissance des gérants.

Cette pension familiale très bien tenue est très bien placée proche de la vieille ville. Les propriétaires sont particulièrement aimables et serviables. Ils peuvent s'occuper de réservations et sont de bon conseil. Les relations ont été faciles et les retours d'informations demandés rapides avant le séjour par mail ou au téléphone. à recommander.

Nette Pension in Funchal
Zum Jahreswechsel waren wir in der Pension Mirasol. Wir sind vom ersten Moment an sehr freundlich aufgenommen worden. Die Unterkunft ist familiengeführt. Der Sohn des Hauses ist sehr behilflich bei der Buchung von Ausflügen und spricht zudem noch fließend Deutsch.
