The staff were very friendly and eager to please. It would have been nicer to have an extra towel or two. I There was no soap or shampoo or the like, or a telephone. The one thing I had a real problem with was the presence of cockroaches. I was awoken in the middle of the night when one was crawling on me, and I slew three of them in the bathroom.

Not a resort hotel!
This hotel is not in a beautiful location but close to the airport and located on EDSA close to an MRT rail station. Lots of jeeps and busses passing too. Hopefully the roof garden restaurant will be improved ( staff say it will be soon).

Entrance not obvious on side. Hotel at busy dusty big inconvenient road. No lift, have to walk up lots of stairs. Inconvenient for tourists with baggage. Room not very clean and smelly. Room small. Aircon noisy, hallway noisy.

It was really good. Clean, new and friendly staff. Just no elevators so a little problem on carrying the big luggage but the guards and staff were all so helpful.

im a frequent guest at hometown hotel, how ever, last time it was not really good because the aircon of the supposed room i book was under repair, but the staff help me and provides me an alternative room, i just wish that if they where able ro inform me earlier, i could have manage my expectation as i arrive at the hotel

Light sleepers beware
A decent choice if you need to be in the area and you are on a budget. The rooms are small and sparse but clean. Bed is comfortable and the AC works well. However, it is located right beside a major highway overpass and is very noisy with all the honking. The lobby is a few stories up and the rooms are above that and there's no elevator, so not a great option if you have lots of luggage.

Good for a layover
Stayed one night as a layover. Pros: Staff were nice and helpful with our transportation. Very close to a metro station and is reasonably close to the airport. Cons: Lots of street noise at night. Felt a bit far from everything (i.e. restaurants and shopping).

Taxi driving could not find hotel. Finally after an hour located it. They had not processed my booking and had no rooms available!! To be fair they did arrange an alternative hotel near by. Not a great start after 17 hours traveling.

Basic but comfortable.
Hometown is on the corner of two very busy main streets. So if you luck out and get a room facing those two highways, you may have a hard time sleeping due to the noise. Be sure to ask for a room facing the back. Otherwise, the amenities, comfort and location were nice and basic. The internet does not reach all the rooms either, so either deal with very spotty/non-existent wifi in your room or hang out in the lobby, the staff doesn't mind.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hometown. The beds are comfortable and the overall cleanliness is great. You do have to ask for your room to be cleaned but after a few days of my roommates and I continuously asking, the lovely ladies would just stop by. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. The internet is slow in the rooms so you have to hang out in the lobby for better connection and the hotel is located on the corner of a very, very busy highway-type intersection, so all for a back facing room and you should be fine.

The people who works there are great, good communication & very attentive. Hotel rooms needs more cleaning & screen on the bathroom window. We cannot closed the bathroom window it was open & mosquitos are freely going in. We had been bitten by mosquitoes while sleeping. We had to chased 2 cockroaches from the bathroom & very unsuccessful on getting rid of them.

Great Value for the Price
As a customer we have used this hotel a few times. The breakfast is good quality nice choices and the staff is very helpful, friendly, and make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and underneath the bed is clean. The 1 bedroom prices aren't as competitive as some but the Dormitory pricing for the value, quality, cleanliness and breakfast is great.

Really clean and comfortable
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was really clean, the beds were extremely comfy and the temperature was just right. You could also take hot showers which was really relaxing. The grill upstairs served really delicious and inexpensive food such as BBQ and chicken inasal. Breakfast was really filling although there wasn't much variety. I think the best thing about this hotel is their staff - really topnotch service. Couldn't thank them enough for their very good customer service. Everyone was helpful and friendly - the reception staff, the security guards, the grill/breakfast staff, the cleaners! Everyone! There isn't an elevator in the hotel so this might be an issue for the elderly or those who cannot climb a flight of stairs. Also you could hear the traffic outside even when the windows are closed, although this wasn't an issue for us as we slept very comfortably all throughout our stay. Really good experience with Hometown Hotel. I would consider booking with them again in the future.

Convenient Location
Hotel is easy to get to using your phone app. Location is convenient, easy to get train right across the street, and just a few minutes to restaurants, malls, and airport. Rooms are clean, and staff really goes out of their way to provide above excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel, just give them a try.

Youth hostel?
We were only staying one night and wanted a hotel close to the airport and didn't need anything too fancy or expensive. This hotel seemed to fit our requirements. The hotel claimed to offer transportation to and from the airport. The reality was they hired a GRAB driver and tacked on a fee. The room was clean, yet quite tiny, barely room enough for the queen bed and our suitcases. The entire bathroom floor would flood when we took a shower. Why they bothered with a shower curtain was beyond me. We were told the hotel was very new and it seemed to me like they were still trying to figure things out. This hotel seems more suited to college age clientele; bare bones, cheap and clean, than to the business or vacation traveler.

Solid stay at Hometown Hotel Makati
I stayed a week at the Hometown Hotel Makati and overall had a great experience for the value. I emailed them to arrange an airport pick up for my 1 am arrival, and even with a delayed flight they still waited for me. The service level really stood out, very friendly and helpful staff. There is no elevator, so be prepared to walk up several floors to the lobby, room, and rooftop restaurant. I booked the single bed room with a private bathroom, and it was perfect for my needs. The rooms are small yet clean, with free wifi and breakfast every morning. My only complaint would be the location of the hotel can be hard for Uber/taxis to find. Other than that I strongly recommend this hotel for budget travelers and would stay there again!

I booked this because it seemed ok and convenient to the airport with a shuttle service. My overall experience wasn't great so I moved hotels after the first night. Main things I remember about my stay are: - Airport shuttle wasn't there to meet me so I had to get a more expensive taxi. With hindsight I would have used Uber. - There was a large stream of ants marching around the perimeter of my bedroom. I didn't notice this until the morning and in fairness they just stuck to the perimeter but nevertheless it's not something I really want in my bedroom. - Apart from the ants, the hotel seemed to be very clean. Had the feeling of a brand new hospital about it. - There was no sheet to sleep under on the bed, just a blanket which I found rather odd. - No windows in the bathroom - Staff were friendly and helpful - Roof terrace restaurant was ok - Location in the middle of busy intersection of main roads and train line near by so very noisy - WiFi worked but was patchy in my room. Didn't try in the common areas. After moving to another hotel of a similar price to enable me to compare, I'm afraid I wouldn't stay here again.

Great rooftop restaurant. Noisy guests in hallway - door is thin. Shower is wetroom style despite a minimal shower curtain. You can arrange an airport P/U.

The staff were nice although I did not appreciate having to request cleaning every time. We also had to request toilet rolls. This is supposed to be supplied all the time. It seemed like nobody checks the supply in the rooms everyday. That was awful!
