"A vastly overrated monstrosity. Stay at your own risk. This is NOT a 5 star facility. The restaurant staff are terrible. They allowed me to book a 1045 pm table (not late by any BCN weekend standards) only to call me at 1050 as I was arriving to remind me the kitchen would close at 11 pm. When I arrived I was told: "Your table isn't ready yet." So you're calling me... to rush me in... while I'm walking in... and you actually don't have my table! And then we would only be served an hour later... by the 'closed restaurant'!?! It was Twilight Zone level stuff of a 1-star or minus-1-star facility. No apology offered by a soul in the restaurant. The place has no fully seat eatery during business hours, beyond a scorching sun soaked roof top bar & a smallish 1st floor bar, not fit for any kind of business engagement. It's a gauche operation. There's a list of similarly starred operations that operate with the appropriate & requisite level of professional care and quality. Choose any those."

"Friendly, helpful staff. Great restaurants on site. Every amenity is available. We loved the montion sensor lighting. One of the nicest, cleanest, best decorated stop we’ve ever stayed in. Did l mention how helpful, courteous, friendly and cheerful the entire staff was? I would give them 6 stars if l could. "

"Nuestra estancia NO fue agradable, el aseo de nuestra habitación dejó que desear. Se notó que las tazas de café solo las enjuagan, no las cambian pues use una para una medicina pegajosa y en la noche tenía un poco pegado al fondo, y la cucharita pegajosa!!! Las fundas se zafan de las almohadas, mismas que no tienen una funda propia y se ven las almohadas tal cual son, muy desagradable. La regadera salpica tanto que moja el papel de baño y todo el piso. Se acabaron los kleenex y no los repusieron hasta el tercer día y eso porque les dejé una nota. Dejamos un vaso usado de un brandy que nos trajeron del bar y nunca lo recogieron. En cuanto a la habitación, se ve que medio lo “modernizaron” pero bastante chafo, las puertas del closet no cierran y así muchos, muchos detalles que yo no puedo considerarlo arriba de un hotel tres estrellas."

"The hotel is situated in an excellent, central location and the rooftop terrace view was out of this world! The breakfast was exceptional…12/10! Saying that, couldn’t ever reach front desk, mould in the shower (ceiling and floor) and the paint was peeling in the shower, water sprays on the floor despite efforts to guide the shower head, and there were no face cloths. Lastly, only one English Channel on the tv and the light by the door is in the way when trying to open it for fresh air."

"Regarding breakfast, I think they should improve it; there's no variety at all, and the products aren't high quality. I don't think the staff at the front desk are adequately trained to handle any of the paperwork."

"The beds were so comfortable! We were sad we only stayed one night because the bed and sheets were so great. The room was clean and quiet. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They stored luggage for us since we were early for check in. It is located in the train station which made traveling easier. We would stay there again if we ever were back in Barcelona."

"The Hoxton is ideally located in Barcelona. It is close to shopping, the beach and many other activities. The staff is congenial and helpful and speaks English. Well they made my time they’re very comfortable."
