Very pleasant and helpful staff. The room is clean and well equipped (Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, large screen TV and excellent WiFi). Can;t ask for more. It is my 5th stay, and will be returning. Highly recommended.

Days Inn by Windham in McAllen, TX
The floor in the room and bathroom, had not been swept. There was dirt and hair on the floor. The fan in the bathroom was very loud (needs replacing). Everything else was ok. It looked like they were remodeling other rooms on the property.

It is not a 5 start lodging, but for the price is worthwhile the stay. The room was clean, well equipped (could not get the microwave to work - it was plugged in behind a couch - maybe it was not plugged - I did not bother to check); The staff was friendly - I have no complaints.

El peor servicio que hemos recibido, el personal de la oficina vendió dos veces uno de los cuartos que reserve y fueron a tocar la puerta a las once quince de la noche y se portaron amenazantes con una pareja de la tercera edad, cuando les llame para aclarar porque se habían portado así con mis invitados su respuesta fue si no les gusta el servicio pase por la oficina y les regreso su dinero, se pueden ir, en una forma muy discriminatoria y autoritaria, además de que traigo unas picaduras de algún insecto en mis brazos

The staff is so rude. We got a room for 4 people and they didn’t let us in the pool because only two Can go in per room. Room is outdated and a/c doesn’t work.

My worst stay
It was the most horrible experience, since our arrival, they where trying to make me pay for something I has already booked and pay in advance, keys weren’t working at all, day two when I went and tell them about my key they told me that I had to pay for thAt day because it wasn’t pay, that’s the reason they deactivate my key when I try to show him confirmation from hotels, my bank account showing him that founds had already been taking of my banking account, and he refused to look, he just wanted me to pay extra, I asked to speak with a manager and he said my manager is gonna tell you the same thing, to make this short, I had to call the police, he got so ugly, I wasn’t gonna stay there even I had to pay to get my belongings out. Because he didn’t want to let me get my stuff out , thank God I call the police and explain show him the proof and police told this guy to let me get my stuff out of the room . Now am waiting for a refund from hotels.com I never had a situation like this and I always booked thru them when I go out on little trips like this, my kids were panicking, about this whole situation, it was a very unpleasant experience, the room had a bad smell and there was roaches crawling on the walls. I would not recommend this place at all, I really regret booking it.

Old roachy motel
Old hotel with no breakfast even thou it was advertised and roaches in the room. Will not ever stay there again.

The best part of staying at the Days Inn McAllen was the staff. The staff were kind, courteous and very hospitable! The area is high traffic so their is a noise issue sometimes. We will stay there again!

Clean, safe, friendly staff, and one of the best breakfasts I had at any hotel - the lady looking after breakfast is a sweetheart. Will definitely return and recommend it.
