This old property does the bare minimum. Sheets and sink were clean, but the bathroom tiles were grimy and everything in the room was old and worn. Wifi worked in the lounge, but would not connect at all in our wing. We even tested by walking with our connected devices into the wing, where we immediately lost connection. Breakfast had styrofoam everywhere. Who in 2024 still uses Styrofoam for serving food?? Pool needed a thorough cleaning and the patio area was old. I saw a big wad of matted hair next to the pool. On top of that, you are in a food desert. Nothing to eat nearby except greasy fast food and only the attached restaurant is a walkable distance away.

I love this hotel. It’s currently priced very affordable. I hope it stays that way. They continue to upgrade a lot of things and in its current state it is nice and clean. My kids absolutely love the pool and request this hotel every time we need to be in the St Paul area, it’s about a 10-15 minute drive. It is also close to the Bloomington area. The hot tub is awesome, the gym has cardio machines. Very clean rooms. Attached to a Green Mill restaurant. The hotel serves breakfast (hot and cold) and like I said it’s currently an affordable stay.

Our toilet in our room never flushed the entire 3 night stay. I asked many times for maintenance to come. Two different desk attendants asked me to move rooms - I did not have time for that. The entrance doors did not work with the key and room keys were not always functional. The guests were VERY loud into the early morning hours and the staff did not intervene. I had to escort our performers (for the Horse Expo) from their room to the lobby because of threats from a man in the halls who was wanting to get into their room. The first floor smelled like pot smoke most of the weekend. Worst stay for our group in all of our travels.

Property is very run down. Staff was not attentive and stated room was not ready when I asked how long all of a sudden a room became available. Breakfast attendant was rude and you could tell she did not like her job. Bathroom walls were dirty. We were on 1st floor and when I open the curtain the patio door was littered with garbage and what looked like a tarp of some sort outside our door. Hallways smelled of gas or some sort of strong chemicals. Staff had all the door to storage and laundry open and were speaking very lordly. Would not recommend for the price. Much better properties in the area for the same price.

The interior of the rooms is pretty shabby, and you can tell it hasnt been updated in a while. The bathroom tub was leaking water from the knob, and there was water staining all down the wall there. One day into my stay, water from the bathroom above me started leaking into my bathroom. Got water all over the bathroom and my belongings that were in there. They did switch me to another room...all the way on the other side ot the hotel. Getting around the hotel is confusing, and the elevator is hard to locate. The exterior of the building is hard to navigate. There is barely any room for two cars to squeeze by each other in the front of the building, so you pretty much have to go around the entire building to get where you want to be. The staff were helpful.

Looked like an older property that had been updated. It was clean, comfortable, affordable, with very friendly staff & a great breakfast. Great value for the money, and very conveniently located. I would stay here again!

Great breakfast. Restaurant and bar on property. Business area with printer. Pool and hot tub was great. Rooms were clean. With a few updates and a little better cleaning routine of the common areas, it would be 5 stars.

It was a nice place to stay in the process of updating it. It does need to be updated. We had no problems we enjoyed the stay and the kids had fun in the swimming pool. I will give this motel a plus for the swimming pool.

The room stunk there was people up till past 2am above us screening stomping..pretty sure they were drunk. People screaming outside cops were outside. My kids were uncomfortable and scared wanted to leave . They charge $100 deposite which I still haven't gotten back.. this irritates me

This property is in need of remodel. Finishes were worn and dingy. Shower dripped. Heat was always too high. Chair was torn. Staff was nice. Towels and linens were clean.

The staff worked their butt off however this property consistently was dirty. The pool area was so trashed one family took it upon themselves to clean it so their kids could swimm and have a clean area....yuck!

I rarely if ever do reviews but since they are what I mostly rely on when picking a hotel thought I would help future travelers. For the price it was what you pay for at this price point, that being said you get what you pay for. I picked this hotel based on its ease and proximity to the Xcel, the price and pool photos/reviews. It's an older hotel, they are attempting to do some renovations and updating. It appears they updated shower fixtures in our room but they were loosely fitted and to get to turn on had to nearly beat it out of off position which found out to be because it doesn't stop dripping unless you beat it into off position. While on the shower topic don't expect a hot one at 730 in the morning or maybe the rest of the day too. Maybe it was because it was busy I'm guessing full hotel due to state wrestling but a barely luke warm shower is not a pleasant experience in the morning. To get into our room we had to play a game with the handle and door to get in as it wasn't fitted or sealing right. The pool was nice. Hot tub hot but poor jets. Nice breakfast area and options in the morning. And the adjoining restaurant was a nice option with good food. If you stay just don't expect a 4-5 star stay. I would spend the extra $50 a night elsewhere especially if staying multiple nights.

Side doors did not work with card to open so they were often found proped open with various objects. Sidewalks were not shoveled and the snow storm had been done for over 24 hours. They have time to do it as both people working behind the counter just sit there on their phone until you say something.

The staff was pleasant! However, the room was quite gross. We found blood on one of our pillows, multiple stains on the “fresh” sheet, completely damaged paint all throughout the room, the bathroom definitely wasn’t cleaned properly. The toilets are also very iffy. Just choose a better spot if you like your cleanliness. I felt dirty the whole time. Never again.

The room was fine except there was no sound proofing. Totally had our neighbors fighting and doing drugs all night. Jets didnt work on the hot tub and our tub faucet was constantly dripping.

Loud disturbances in the halls, late at night and early in the morning. 3:40am a woman banging on a nearby door and yelling at her boyfriend through the door —“I know you have a gun in there. I ain’t afraid of you. I got bail money. Go ahead and call the cops!!” Either paid security or local law enforcement arrived about 20 minutes later. If you need a quiet place to sleep before an important work meeting the next morning, I recommend a different location.
