" In the middle of literally nowhere (for me) but so peaceful and serene! I love the history of this monastery. I must say as a solo traveler I was a little nervous at first because it’s very remote. I saw maybe 3 cars in the parking lot and two other guests. But it was safe! Checked in and got a restaurant recommendation for Ristorante Conte Matto, ten minutes away in a small town. The food was excellent and my server was very friendly, even walked me out when I left. Definitely worth the visit. I had the room at the end of the building with the ginormous tub. It was clean, very spacious and simply furnished with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Not gonna lie, I did push my couch up against the door since I was alone but I went to sleep that night and had the most peaceful sleep, waking up to the most beautiful sunrise. "

"Wow is an understatement. This was the most spectacular part of our entire Italy trip. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed. The sprawling property is spectacular to roam around. Lots of space to go for a run. Easy to get to Montepulciano and Pienza. Nice to meet so many other travelers. The room was quaint, beautiful, clean and unique. The beds are very comfortable with lots of pillows and nice linens. Plenty of fresh air and sounds of animals from outside. The breakfast was beyond spectacular. Most beautiful eggs we’ve ever eaten! Pretty pool but we didn’t use it. We opted for the farm table dinner and it was one of the best experiences we had on our trip. The aperitivo experience was just so gorgeous and hospitable - my favourite part! We tasted their olive oil from their property and bought a bottle. We did not do the truffle class or the cooking class, but I wish we had stayed longer so that we could have tried both! We stayed one night but wished we had stayed for 3.
