Our stay with our two dogs at Carmel River Inn in one of their cottages was amazing. The cottage was very cozy and beautiful, the property was stunning and a lovely place to walk our dogs and the staff were amazing. Looking forward to going back one day.

Wonderful cabins with full bathrooms right near Carmel Beach (driving distance). Fire pits were a wonderful way to spend time with an extended group at night. The grocery store across the street was also convenient.

The location is marvelous, right off Highway one and a hop, skipping a jump to a shopping center. Staff very helpful room nice and clean. The only drawbacks were. It’s a little outdated and there was no microwave, which is kind of important to me.

Quiet and peaceful. Lots of nice flowers, plants, trees and birds! Pool was lovely. Easy access to all areas around Carmel. Almond croissant and Carmel coffee were delicious - breakfast trailer made it easy for quick bite! Highly recommend the Carmel River Inn.

We stayed two nights here on one of the cottages. We were very satisfied with location and also how friendly the place is for dogs. Was easy to go on an early little walk or during the evening. The plants and flowers also make the stay more pleasant. Look forward to returning.

We had a fantastic time st the Carmel Cottage. Super cute town close to Monterey and Big Sur for us to visit. The cottages were super cute and super clean. We also were able to roast some marshmallows for some s’mores with the kids. This place is also super pet friendly. I honestly would go back to this place again if we visit Monterey again!

This is a delightful property with a motel and then clean little cottages with fireplaces and kitchenettes and a lot of charm. The grounds were beautiful along the Carmel River. The breakfast was wonderful - the quiches were delicious. Definitely coming back.

We loved our stay at Carmel River Inn and Cottages! We stayed in a studio cottage with wet bar and it was perfect! We had our dog with us, and this was a very dog friendly place! The property is beautiful and serene, and the Morning Joy breakfast trailer was a nice addition! You're also close to two shopping villages, The Crossroads and The Barnyard, so lots of dining and shopping, nearby!

This is one of the most pet-friendly hotels I've ever experienced! The staff was so kind to both us and our pets! They even gave our doggies treats when we checked in. They had dog bags and trash cans scattered throughout the property, all conveniently located. We stayed in the main building of the hotel, but the entire property was so lovely and well-maintained. The room we stayed in was so comfortable! They also had individual cottages and cabins that looked adorable. We will definitely be returning and trying out one of those cottages! :)

Helpful staff. The cottages were lovely and the surrounding area are well maintained with parking right in front of each cottage. Location was roughly 5 to 10 minutes to downtown eateries or the beautiful beaches. Most importantly to us, they are pet friendly as we brought along our dog on a road trip!

Incredible hospitality! My partner and I stayed a weekend and it was absolutely amazing. Staff is helpful and very respectful. It is very quiet and comfortable. Customer service is available 24/7 and are very kind when you call at any hour. Our stay was wonderful and would recommend when planning your next Carmel/Big Sur visit.
