This property is amazing. Property is as advertised. Deer every night we were there and even this morning after all of the rain. Property had everything needed for a weekend getaway. We would definitely use this property again when doing a Lake Whitney excursion.

Eclipse-of-a-Lifetime
Stayed at the Bridgeview Lodge for the 4/8/24 total eclipse. Could not have asked for a better experience. The house itself was perfect for two families with teen and college-age kids, with plenty of room to spread out and was very comfortable. The adults had private, nicely appointed queen bed rooms, while the kids had a huge loft with multiple beds and gave them a space of their own as well. The barn full of outdoor toys kept everybody entertained, and the huge back deck was perfect for enjoying the view of the eclipse (which was spectacular). Kitchen was well-stocked and convenient for putting together family sized meals at the huge dining room table. Our host Melissa went above and beyond for us, answering all of our questions quickly,both before, during, and after our stay. She even checked with the local sheriff to see if a burn ban that was is in effect would prevent us from using the firepit (it didn't). Just a very memorable experience in a great place. Highly recommend!

Relaxing stay with family
This is my second visit in 2 months ;) I love this VRBO! It’s so peaceful and quiet, plenty of wildlife to see and the view is amazing. Wildflowers blooming everywhere was a nice bonus this trip. Thanks again, Steve and Melissa!

Perfect place for our group.
Some members of my family and I stayed 2 nights at this house. The house location was beautiful. Grocery stores and restaurants were a short drive away. We saw deer every morning and evening. The yard was big and well maintained. My 5 and 7 year old granddaughters loved the tire swing. We didn't have to worry about their squeals and shouting bothering the neighbors. There was plenty of comfortable seating on the huge deck in the back yard. The kitchen had everything needed and was very well stocked. We had 3 vehicles and there was plenty of parking. If staying in the area we will definitely want to stay here again.

Great Get Away

My husband and i were happy but the teens wished for more to do. The beds were comfy and everyone slept great. The boat rentals listed in the book were cosed but a lady at a neighboring restaurant gave us a number to an open one. We loved sitting in the backyard every morning. The swimming cove was close and easy to find.

Nice property near the lake
Property as described. Clean and spacious. Only issue was that the lake was low and the boat ramp was unusable for us but that is not to blame on the property. Ended up using the ramp 12 mins away at Cedron Park. Deer every morning and evening. Very quiet place to relax.

Mini vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Especially the peace and solitude on the back porch drinking coffee. The grandkids all had fun, especially with the simplest thing, tic tac toe blocks. Close lake access was great also. I couldn't have asked for a better time and place. 👍

A few minor issues
I tried to contact the owner prior to our trip to inquire as to whether we needed to bring beach chairs and did not receive an answer. Turns out, there were only two and we should have brought more. There were also sharp stickers from outside that were everywhere and required that everyone wear shoes all the time as they were not easy to see and ground into carpeted areas.

Thank you for letting us know about the yard stickers, we have contacted a landscaper to assist us with treatment of the property and will get with the cleaners to remove anything remaining in the loft carpeting. Steve and I reviewed the VRBO reservation, our cell phones and emails and could not find any missed communication. We have always responded to quests and would not want to leave questions unanswered as we enjoy hosting and want our guests to enjoy their vacation. Awesome Place for Cousin Camp
We had such a fabulous time at this home with our oldest grandkids for cousin camp! The house and surrounding property were absolutely the perfect place for these kids to have the time of their lives! So much room to run and play outside, swings for lots of wonderful talks at sunset, a fun game barn, watching deers come up to feed in the mornings, a loft in the main bedroom that became their hideout and a large table to enjoy meals and play lots of fun games! The owners have seen to every detail to make this house nice and comfy and a place you will love staying at! Close to Waco, Dinosaur Valley and the beautiful Lake Whitney...so much to see and do for some daytime fun! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away for a few days and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country and a wonderful cozy home!!

4th of July at The Bridgeview Lodge
Our family is frequent visitors of the Lake Whitney area especially during July 4th. This property was absolutely amazing. From the moment we pulled up to the property we were greeted by deer, they are everywhere and it was absolutely amazing. The Bridge View Lodge provided a nature wildlife cozy type feeling and the back view of the property was absolutely amazing and you can see the Katy bridge over Lake Whitney. The inside of the lodge provided a comfort at home like feeling and has everything you need. We were extremely happy with this property and can’t think of one con. We will be back forsure and we definitely recommend.

Great Family weekend
We enjoyed our stay. This house has everything you need to be comfortable. We normally stay right on the water but the house has great views and was a quick 6min ride to the water, with the perfect private beach and swimming location. We had a great time floating and laughing. Really enjoyed the swings and firepit. The deer and roadrunner were a great treat. My only tip to visitors would be to screen shot the door code or wifi password before you get all the way to the house lol. None of us had service way out there and had to drive back up to the main road to get service and see the instructions on how to get into the door lol. We got the information in plenty of time it was totally lack of planning on our part. Happy floating!

Memorial Weekend
We had a great family trip to Lake Whitney, the house was perfect. Great setup had everything we needed to enjoy out trip my kids and grandkids enjoyed the lake daily. My wife and I took a drive up to the casino only a couple hours away. We are looking forward to returning soon

Great Home !!!
Home was absolutely fabulous ! Very Clean, well maintained, and a very peaceful / restful location in the country ! The kitchen is marvelously stocked with everything imaginable that you could need to cook anything ... FANTASTIC !!!!! Just bring what you want to cook, they have all the equipment needed !! Beds were extremely comfortable. Living Room has good sized Smart TV and is easy to operate. Best part of the house might just be the back yard patio and the Restful and Soothing "quad wooden swings" !! Hosts are really wonderful hosts to work with. They are excellent communicators -- maybe the best we have ever dealt with. You will not regret booking this VRBO !!!!!

Great place to stay
Great place to get away to get for a few days, enjoy a slower pace and get some rest and relaxation. Scenic area by Lake Whitney and several parks, deer visit property in morning and evening, a variety of birds visit the feeder all day and beautiful wildflowers blooming all around the large wooded property in April. The home has a large deck in the back with about every variety of seating you could want and several tables. The game barn is fun with a ping pong table and a selection of sports equipment including corn hole toss. The home itself was really nice. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Nice thick towels and cloths in the bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils and various supplies. The kitchen table is large and seats eight. If you aren’t sitting outside there is plenty of seating in the house. Would definitely enjoy visiting again.

Perfect weekend getaway!
This place is absolutely perfect! From the deck, to the fire pit and the location, I can’t say enough good things about it. We are already planning more family trips here! It was me, my boyfriend, his mom, brother and our two dogs, there was more than enough room for all of us. Our dogs LOVED running around on the property, they took full advantage of the 3 acres. The deck on the back was perfect in the morning for reading and drinking coffee, and the fire pit was perfect in the evening for dinner and s’mores. There are deer all over the neighborhood and they even made an appearance every morning right in the back yard! The house inside is just as perfect with everything you could need, new appliances and super comfy beds. I could keep going on, I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place.

Relaxing Country Home
If you enjoy relaxing in the country, this is the place for you. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We had a fire in the fire pit each night. Our granddaughters enjoyed the swinging chairs and making s’mores. They also loved swinging on the tire swing. Deer appear early in the morning and in the evening. They are beautiful and very graceful. If you enjoy stargazing, you a great view of the night sky. Overall, another great stay! We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Great cabin
Myself and 5 buddies stayed here fo a weekend and were very happy with this cabin. Probably the best stocked kitchen of any rental I’ve stayed at, even had stainless steel baking trays! They have the same Weber grill I have at home. The back porch is an awesome place to hang out! There’s 4 swinging benches surrounding a fire pit(solo stove thing) that is super relaxing. This was a great spot for a weekend hey away. My only disappointment was that the listing does make it seem like it’s a little more secluded than it is, there are neighbors on either side about 100 yds away, we did our best to be respectful, but we weren’t exactly quiet and I didn’t receive any complaints(hopefully the owners didn’t either lol). On the morning of our departure the backyard was full of deer not 30ft off the back porch that hung out for awhile. I heard some feeders go off in the woods on the property so I bet it’s high odds you’d see some too! 10/10 would stay again and you should too!!

A great break from the city
My friends and I have a weekly board game group and we've been talking about doing a retreat for a while where we can play some of our longer games but also just get away and relax. This place was fantastic. The kitchen was AMAZING with everything that was available to use. The grill was fantastic for steaks. There's a firepit out back that's great to hang out and chat. Pretty much everything was taken care of. If I were to give one warning to future potential guests checking this place out, the dining table is a bit smaller than the pictures made it out to be. We managed to make it work but for some bigger board games (or just a group of pretty big guys) it could be a bit of a tight fit. Oh, and there's a dog bed under the bed in the master bedroom and no real indication that it's there, we only found it when we were cleaning up to go, so our dogs spent most of the time on a picnic blanket we'd brought that was a small bit of padding from the hardwood floor. No fault of the owners, but if we'd known that was there it probably would have made the trip more comfortable for Hiro and Watson.

We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves at our home. We wanted you all to know that we have since bought a new much larger dining table. Next gathering should work out much better for you. Sorry about the dog bed. It should be listed among amenities. The storage location sometimes changes after cleaning. It is alway under one of the beds. There are also dog food and water bowls under the kitchen sink as well as a long leash if needed.

Texas Tabernacles 2022 stay
We came for a Fall Feast held at Lake Whitney and stayed in this home. It was very nice and we loved the back yard and the deer came to visit, the sunrises and the cozy home was well supplied and beds were super comfy. Would stay here again next year if we hold the feast here! Great Place.

Best time! Accommodations were just perfect for our family with big kids and fur babies! Neighborhood was so welcoming and everyone was so nice! Cove was a perfect spot for relaxing! Everything we needed was there in the kitchen - good pans which you don’t always have in rentals. Bath towels were amazing! In fact I googled and ordered some just like them!

Amazing cabin and lake!
This cabin was amazing. It was the perfect place to stay and enjoy some vacation while my sister also graduated from Baylor University. There was plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed it greatly! Best part was for sure seeing lots of deer on the property and the swimming in the private cove.

This was a great experience for me and my family. Steve and Melissa were great as well. I absolutely loved the Cabin a lot. The cabin with the games were great, the deer you can see them eating.
