It is always difficult to respond to such people indeed. Step by step, based on our staff report and our correspondence with these people. 1. A lie. As no guests can enter the property without our staff who normally show everything in the villas. 2. A lie. Guests asked myself about kayaks and after telling them about kayaks’ storage there were no comments. 3,4. Even if so, why we were not told about it during guests’ stay? 5. Agree with this as new cushions are been done right now in Exuma. 6. Noticed! We will take it out while waiting for a replacement. 7. It is not correct. It is solid and safe and again we are waiting for a replacement. 8. I got a message from her first time at 1.37am on 18th where she said that water was running on the street. There was nothing to do during the night, but in the morning we found out that someone’s car broke a water pipe outside of the property. Once I asked whose car was it and who hided the pipe with a piece of concrete, the guest started claiming us more and more demanding full refund. So, I guess they knew as they had several people coming on 17th evening. It was really hard to repair it during the weekend, but we managed by 2pm same day!!! We love our guests and support them even it is difficult. Respectfully we assume same outcome from our guests and understanding that no us damage and spoil the property. Exuma is a Paradise, quite remote from everything and some damages or items cannot be repaired/replaces easily like in US. 1 star review is telling a lot about those who wrote it. This is probably second one among 4 and 5 stars during 7 years of rentals.

Thank you for your review! We had an unexpected AC failure and had to order spare parts from US which slightly delayed for your stay. The system is being changed right now in August.

Thank you for sharing your comments! Unfortunately things are being broken when we do not expect it at all and most of the parts to be ordered either from Nassau or from US. Such is AC issue you had. We had to order new entire system for both wings and it is on the way from US already. Our staff did their best to minimise the impact, I hope.

Thank you very much for your review!!! The only issue you have mentioned, Internet, is not our fault during last few months, but local provider... they do upgrade now. What we can do right now is to add wireless internet boxes to provide two different internet providers in the villas. Thanks again and see you next time... Casa Del Mar

I was thinking quite a time whether to respond to below review or not and thanks to our previous and coming guests who asked me to clarify the real picture with this group. - the group stayed in both pool villas with maximum occupancy up to 24 people and recommended 20 adults plus kids. Total number announced just a few days prior to arrival was 29. But... this group had more people stayed in the house across the road, so I guess they were about 36-40 people in total! ALL these people were using the villas daily and according to our staff ALL possible rooms were like a hostel. Of course, they consumed toiletries, towels, etc very fast and leader started complaining that we must bring them new ones as they paid enough... - guests were arriving by small groups and different flights. We tried to greet and meet every of the numerous groups however it caused us more expenses. Our driver, as always, is meeting guests with a sign at the airport. By the circumstances and on their behalf some people took a bus to Sandals instead of our transfer, rang to the leader and demanded we order a taxi to bring them to Casa Del Mar. Our staff arranged it and... taxi driver was not paid by the guests... After the case we were forced to limit with two transfers per villa both ways what is well enough for 8-12 people even if they arrive by two airlines. - Grocery. It is obvious that every service has to be paid depends on what you is asking for! And you are to choose whether use it or not. - Appliances issue. It may happen any day in any place and this is not US mainland where you can get a technician in a few hours (rarely in fact). Every pool villa has two of every appliance actually:) Something went wrong in communication between the leader and our staff initially and this is (my opinion) the critical point with all the rest. Exuma is very friendly island with amicable and always smiling people who will always try to help you, but... if foreigners think that they paid a lot of money and have to get everything they wish, arguing, stressing, etc... I am very sorry that this situation happened and cannot be a judge or blame, but I take into account other groups reviews and feedback. It is strange that such a poor management was excellent with other groups staying in all our villas prior and after below group... We love our guests, we are trying to do more then it is possible on the remote island and we are very happy when you are happy! Casa Del Mar

Thank you for staying with us! We understand about internet, but it is difficult to get one star off from our property since you are in the remote island where some continental options are simply not working. We paid about 10k for cable internet, but we don't have any kind of influence on local provider and this is clearly stated in the pre-arrival guide. Casa Del Mar
