Although the rustic country roads made it feel tucked away from everything, the house was just minutes from the Endless Wall Trail, the New River Gorge Bridge, and many other area attractions. It made the perfect home base for exploring the area.We did encounter a large number seasonal stink bugs in the front bedroom with the bunk beds, which meant the kids could not sleep in this room, and ended up sleeping on the pullout bed in the living room. When we were able to speak with the caretaker the next day he was upfront with us about this being a seasonal challenge, and we appreciated his honesty and communication.Overall, the house has so much character and a wonderful location. It was a cozy place to come back to after a day of exploring the beautiful New River Gorge area, and we appreciated the charm and hospitality of this family-owned rental."
