Cozy vintage beach cottage. Easy access to beach, quiet. Perfect for offseason getaway for a few days. People have been coming back to these cottages for decades for good reason. We loved the kitchen with full size appliances and lots of space. Pack your groceries and cook all your meals here, the cottage was perfect for a family of 4. Comfortable beds in two bedrooms. Nice living room/dining room. We spent four nights and were not disappointed.

Smokey rooms
The cottage was not clean and smelled really bad of cigarette smoke. There were cigarette buts outside our door in the screen porch. Of course when the housekeeper smokes in the room with all the clean linens everything is going to smell of smoke. The unit was not proper supplied. We had one regular fork for three people. There are no electrical receptacles in the bathroom (which is tiny). I opened the bedroom door and the door jam fell and hit me. The AC is not enough to cool the entire unit. The Bedrooms stayed hot.

The place is older but clean. The only issue we had was parking. The parking lot has inches and feet of sand blown into the spaces. Walkway to the beach, steps and walkway were completely covered in sand. Not easy to park or turn around. Other than the parking problem, would definitely stay again.

We used to stay here before Keys Realty took over. It was a much nicer place and better managed back then. The porch had cigarette butts all over. The carpet was coming up on the border of the kitchen. Overall the property was messy. The stairs to the beach were covered over by sand making it very hard to climb. It feels like they are not putting any money into it and are just riding it out until the units are not rentable then tearing it all down and building another big house on the property. Sad because we loved this place and stayed there every year for over 10 years.

Kees Vacations cancelled our reservations with 48 hrs notice, due to "maintenance problems." However they have refused to contact Expedia, in spite of my demands and Expedia contacts. Expedia cannot issue a refund until the operator tells them they cancelled. Almost 10 days later they have done nothing. As I am concerned, they are thieves and owe me 350.00.

Serious issues with cleanliness and numerous attempts to get the range fixed. I finally gave up asking and our stay was iver before the maintenance was ever completed.

Perfect stay for a couple of people who just need a place to stay. Not recommended for children. Cable didn’t work the entire time. Floors were clean looking, but our feet were black by the end of the day. The picture advertised was not the picture of our room, but one of the other cottages. It was kind of disappointing, but served its purpose for our two night stay.

Units are very, very dated. Trim work in the rooms look like it was done by a 10 year old. Windows and porches are in serious need of repair. Heater did not work and the room was musty smelling. Location was great...not much else.

Beautiful views of the beach. Great price for the location, and close to the Seafood Festival, which was the reason for the trip. Tight parking.

Overall it was a nice place but it could use some upgrades. Ac did work well, mattress felt like a fold out couch and windows and door exterior could us a fresh coat of paint. I like the dispensers in bathroom and i liked the kitchen set up.

I was nervous coming to stay here after reading the reviews! I even packed raid lol but the room I had was clean! No bugs…the bed wasn’t a brick..the floor and been swept/vacuumed..a/c wasn’t obnoxiously loud and it was cold. For the money and location I would definitely stay here again.

Hotels.com not what they advertise!
I enjoyed the quaint cottage even though it could use some upgrading. The maintenance man said they had remodeled some of the cottages & were working on the remaining. Didn’t really need anything so I didn’t have to ask anything of them. Cottage was basically clean but the deep corners were somewhat neglected. Nothing to gross me out though. The maintenance man was very polite and friendly offering if I needed anything to contact the “manager” maintenance lady who was around quite often. We enjoyed our stay in general… however I’m disappointed in Hotels.com. For weeks I’d been seeing your commercials about free cancellations but when I booked my cottage they excluded free cancellation when they gave me their “reduced” rate for the booking. How absurd… I think I will just book directly without Hotels.com assistance. You haven’t been helpful to me at all… oh yes I got my free night after 10 paid nights but I’m sure when I go to use that there will be ridiculous restrictions on it.

Very unkept. Old; moisture damage. Roaches, bugs and ants. Poor shower set up; floor floods with water. Not secure; can pull side panel completely out from window air conditioner unit in the bedroom. No inside lock on door for extra security. Will not recommend.

Like the other Kees property we used, this was adequate lodging with great beach access. It doesn’t look like the owners care to invest much in their property. But it was adequate for us for the one night we were there.

Almost perfect
Our biggest let down was the musty odor and the well worn mattresses. It is an older place so some wear and tear is expected. The bathroom looked to have been recently renovated. The place was very clean. There was a boarded up spot where an ac unit should of been and a fan placed in the room. Thankfully with our stay in the month of March it was not an issue- we did notice all other units had a ac unit- maybe a new one has been ordered? For the price and being able to rent for it for just one night we were happy with our stay
