Great stay!
Property is very well maintained and in a great soundside location. Very clean, Kitchen stocked nicley with all appliances, beds are comfortable.Weather was a bit chilly, but I appreciate that the heat worked despite the very windy conditions at night! There is a very nice soundside dock down the street to use for fishing which was great for our small fam. Note that you will hear traffic/ construction noise going on outside the neighborhood. Not a bad thing, just an FYA for anyone coming down in the next few weeks.

Very nice property with a very well equipped kitchen! We are cooks and did all of our meals at the property. Excellent gas grill. Loved it. Beautiful views of sunrise and sunset. Clean and comfortable. Close to Jennette’s Pier for great winter beach walks.

Convenient location to experience OBX
Nice property, convenient to lots of shops, restaurants, attractions in Nags Head. Family loved the hot tub. My only complaint was the lack of back up basic supplies to last through the week (or at least a few days). Overall a great trip.

My family had a wonderful time on their Outer Banks vacation. The property was Excellent!! Island Haven was a beautiful property located on Pine Island. The beach was a 5 minute drive from the property which worked out good for my family because they could load up all their beach gear and drive right to the parking lot by Jennettes Pier, and only had to carry gear for a 50 yard walk. Trust me with my 2 grandsons and all their gear that was a God Send. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with open space and all the amenities. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We, plan on coming back. I highly recommend Island Haven for an outstanding OBX Vacation. Steve and Lisa P.

Excellent waterfront house with views all around. Plenty of room for our whole family to spread out when we wanted. Full appliances. Location was perfect. Plenty of great restaurants and beaches near by. Shopping very close by. 20 minutes to the Aquarium. Would definitely stay again.

Entire experience was wonderful! Tony and Britney are amazing hosts. Their house is lovely and they go above and beyond to make sure that renters have an exceptional time. It was our first time vacationing in the OBX and found this location to be perfect. We will definitely be returning!

Hard to Beat!
With comfortable beds, lots of space, amazing views, and much more to enjoy, it’s probably easier to say what we didn’t like about our stay—but nothing comes to mind! It was exactly what we were looking for during the off season, and the price couldn’t be beat. The house was cozy, conveniently located, and the neighborhood was quiet. Highly recommend. Perfect, fun beach house
Island haven was fantastic! We loved the location, just a quick 5 minute drive to the beach but away from loud cars and didn’t feel like a super touristy spot. There were lots of fun games to play (cornhole, pool, etc). Overall it was clean and comfortable! The host was really responsive and accommodating as well which we appreciated!

The perfect get away!!!!
As a family, we really enjoyed our time at this residence. The rooms are large, and the kitchen has all the amenities. They've planned every detail so that you can kick back and enjoy your trip. The location was ideal, and the owner was also very pleasant to work with and fast to answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay so much that we want to return. This was a fantastic experience.

Fantastic place to stay.
The house was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The views of the Sound were out every window. I especially loved sitting on one of the many decks. The deck off the dining area had shade and even a gate to lock my dog on the deck with me. I was very impressed when arriving to find toilet paper in both bathrooms, paper towels and some dishwasher pods to make your arrival day easy. No need to rush to store on arrival if you forgot to pack these essentials on your first day. The owner was very responsive and quick to respond with any questions. They were very sweet to contact me immediately that my husband forgot his cell phone there. Thanks for a great vacation!

Family Vacay 2022 was a success!
My family had such a great time the week of the 4th if July! The host was excellent and the home was everything we expected PLUS!! There was nothing we needed that wasn’t there. I would highly recommend renting the linens- they were there when we arrived - and we didn’t have to worry about bringing with us The property was very convenient to the beach, restaurants, grocery and shopping. Wonderful Family Vacation
This was our second time staying at Pond Island and loved it as much as the first time we stayed there. The house is perfect for large families and the porches are one of our favorite things about the house. We enjoyed using the new jacuzzi! There is so much to do, fishing, swimming, visiting the aquarium (a must) the lighthouse, and Jeanette's Pier. We would totally recommend staying at Pond Island! You won't be disappointed.

SIMPLY AMAZING
We had such an amazing vacation at this beautiful home on “Pond Island”. The location is fabulous- the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The balconies have beautiful views and were relaxing to sit and enjoy coffee and the views. We watched the sunset every night! The home is very clean and organized as the photos represent. All of the appliances were new and there isn’t anything you need that isn’t offered there. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, towels - Britney is the nicest owner I have ever worked with. She went above and beyond to answer any of my questions and I knew if I needed anything, she would be there for us. It’s hard to find someone like Britney these days! We can’t thank them enough for sharing their home! We made beautiful memories and we will be back again !!

Loved this property!!! We would love to book this home again for our future OBX stays. Quiet peaceful neighborhood, 360 views out of most windows... The hot tub jacuzzi was a must for our family and it didn't disappoint...hours of fun. The hosts have plenty of games for the whole family, even 2 bicycles. This location is central for going most places, nothing was too far.

A Hidden Gem!
Our stay on Pond Island was amazing! Nothing but great things to say about this charming house tucked away on a little island in Nags Head. It was clean and cozy and felt like home from the moment we stepped inside. It was close to all our favorite restaurants and a great new little brewery that we loved. Fabulous house, great location
This was by far the cleanest and tidiest beach rental we’ve ever stayed in. They had every kitchen amenity, all very organized. Great furniture set up when you aren’t out exploring, super comfy beds. Great location for being close to Hatteras National Seashore beaches, the adorable shopping at Manteo and amazing sunsets over the sound. We were even able to see the Milky Way and a few shooting stars at night from the balcony. We highly recommend this home and the owners, who were quick with all communications. Hope to stay again!

Three of my friends and I booked Island Haven in Nags Head for a girl's get away beginning August 21, 2021. From the moment we booked their home, the owners were engaging and informative. The house was clean and very nicely decorated. The kitchen had every convenience and the the livingroom and bedrooms had smart TVs that allowed us to login and watch most of the top streaming services. Both bathrooms are a nice size. The two bedrooms on the second floor have private decks. There is a deck on the main floor, all with comfortable chairs. As you can see from the photos two of the decks overlook a lovely and peaceful inlet. The second deck on the second floor overlooks the bay. The house is a 10 minute ride to various beaches and restaurants. It is a quick ride to the Wright Brothers Museum, a nature preserve and many other fun and interesting activities. While it was not our plan to do much cooking, the kitchen and dining areas were great places to have a few drinks and just talk. If you plan to cook the only items you will need are seasonings; they have salt and pepper. They not only have pots, they have baking and lovely serving dishes. Britney and her husband, Tony, were so responsive and helpful. Anytime we wrote to them, they responded within minutes. They recommended activities, restaurants and great beach access points. If you have an opportunity to rent Island Haven, you won't be sorry! It's a lovely location. We were able to rest and recharge! Thank you Britney and Tony, All the Best, Marilyn

Lovely place to stay
We had a great stay. The location was really convenient for going in different directions, whether to the beach, historic sites, restaurants or stores. Pond Island was lovely and we found is safe and pleasant for walking our dogs. The property was spacious and comfortable and we especially enjoyed time sat on the decks enjoying the views and the breeze. There are lots of great places to eat nearby, although they were very busy during August. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall, highly recommended.

Great Place for a Family Vacation!
We had a wonderful time staying on Pond Island with our children, grandchildren, and pets. The house is perfect because of the open floor plan and awesome decks. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular each day. My husband even kayaked with the dolphins on his newly built kayak. The beaches are nearby and easy to access. We even went to the bay one day to swim and kayak. There was plenty to do with the children: going to the beaches, fishing, kayaking, and even miniature golf. But the best part, was coming back to the house, to sit on the large decks to have a drink and watch the sunsets. We all loved this home and would recommend it to everyone! Enjoy!
