“The pictures on the website do not tell the full story. The road ends 20 meters before the property, so prepare to wheel bags and walk across wet red clay. When we arrived the room reeked of cigarettes. They said they were fully booked and could not move us, but I could book a room still online, so they lied about that. The pool was drained and being repaired, but no mention of this anywhere before booking. Getting a chair to the lawn was hassle. There was only one restaurant, the bar was not……

“Room was clean, AC worked well, comfy bed, and shower works well. Late checkin was easy, and the price offers good value. Only thing you have to keep in mind is the place is right by the main road and so there is a lot of noise, however if you have been in India for a while you will be used to the noise. The fan and AC helps mute it a little. This is an ideal place to stay if you arrive late to airport, and on your way to a Goa beach resort next day. Nothing around, so not ideal for longer stay.”

“We didn’t want to stay in a big hotel chain, neither did we want to stay in beach shacks or risk an unknown place. Casa Colvale was a great discovery based on Trip Advisor reviews. Located far away from the hustle & bustle of Goa, Casa Colvale is set in idyllic surroundings, on the bank of the Chapora river. “The room, actually the 3 rooms I was offered were full of mould, including pillows which were grey because of the mould. And that’s a 40€ a night “business” hotel. After 30 min discussion with the manager, at 11pm I finally managed to cancel the reservation and was promised a full refund, even got a paper as a proof. Of course didn’t happen. They count the reservation to take the money. Had to contact an agent for a refund. Avoid the property.”

“Nanu Resort is a great option for Arambol , clean rooms , good brakfast , security , great spa and pool . The only reason I give 4 stars rating is because of their proximity to the beach , on tneir descriptions mentions 6 min walk , is abput 20 min walk .However , tjey do provide complimentary beach trabfer to tje veach , you'll have to find yr way back to tje hotel .”

“The place where s like paradise ”

“The hotel receptionists ( 2 ladies) exceeded our expectation. On the first day, our room was swapped overlooking pool with exceptional room size and all room facilities. The shower room was large with hot water 24/7. The restaurant served great and tasty food. The waiters were all very helpful and saw to our every need at breakfast and dinner. Our room areas was cleaned daily, all th3 staff are trustworthy which is reassuring. The lady who cleaned our room took pride in her job and the rooms……

“Siolim is charming and full of history. This area and North Goa were our favourite. The room was lovely and very clean but the exterior of the property and pool area need upkeep and maintenance. There are also good food options nearby and the breakfast was simple but very good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!”
