The location is exceptional! Walk to trendy chelsea or manhattan! Much hipper than staying in manhattan! Room reno excellent. Lobby could use some work but didnt mind. Service good. Would definitely stay there again

The businesses around Hilton Gardenview Chelsea are floral wholesalers and the street in Spring smelled wonderful, which is a feat in NYC. The hotel was clean and well equipped. The front desk staff were helpful and held our luggage as well as arranged transportation to the airport for us which arrived on time.

The shades in the room never worked even after several requests to front desk and housekeeping. Also the first night we arrived we didn't have any toiletries in the room, we called the desk but they didn't send any till the next morning. The toilet was super noisy and overall we got the impression that most of the staff didn't care.

Very good location, subway on same block, room was comfortable and clean. Biggest issue was a broken elevator, there’s only 2 in total, so long waits. I believe the elevator had been out for at least a week.

Very small rooms and the shower went from ice cold to scolding hot without an in between. The bed was very uncomfortable and I woke up with back pain every day.

The beds are awful and very uncomfortable. There is limited lighting, one ceiling light by the door and then tiny small lamps, barely any light on the opposite side of the room. The HVAC unit rattles and keeps you up (even after you ask them to fix it). For 3 days they only had one working elevator, sometimes it could take you 5-10min (or more) to get from the top floors to the lobby. We try to always stay at Hilton's in general but this one has been the worst by far.

No soundproofing for doors (you'll hear anything in your hallway). Phone was broken so you would hear the beep sound continuously. Staff were kind and helped hold my baggage after checking out. Decently clean and convenient but not great otherwise.

The staff was the BEST!! My 10 year old son and I flew to NY for a few days for Spring Break. The staff really made us feel like family. You can tell they genuinely care.

I booked the hotel for a weekend as I had plans for my daughter's 16th birthday. When we arrived their was garbage bags and bins in front of the property blocking the loading zone. It made it inconvenient to unload our luggage. Once inside the property it had a stale odor which got worse on the elevator ride and in our room. The hall are tight; you can touch the walls of you spread your elbows. The rooms was dirty, stale smelling covered by a fragrance spray of sorts, and dusty. When we pulled back the bed covers and corners (as we always do at hotels) there were stains on the sheets and mattress covers. The blankets were knit material and dingy. The bathroom had mild corners and a dirty toilet under the seat. We were disappointed. I called the front desk and they offered me new bedding that I would have to put on myself. We could not stay there and canceled the remainder of our stay. It was 11 pm when we arrived. We sat in the car to search for other accommodation. We were blessed to find a marriott in midtown Times Square area at 130 am. I am grateful for God’s favor!!!! We ended having an amazing weekend.

Location is excellent. Easy access to multiple subway stations. Flower district makes for a colorful street. Rooms are fine. Nothing fancy but they’re in good condition and cleaned daily. Staff is friendly but didn’t interact with the much. The lobby is tiny and there’s no real place to gather. Elevators are problematic. There are only two and they’re too small and we were late to two reservations bc they kept being full over and over. Breakfast at $15 is not worth it, but multiple good options close by.

Overall we had a great stay. Always greeted when we entered the property. There was always security at the door. Ease of getting to the room. The only issue was the last day when housekeeper bothered us 3 times to see if we checked out and we told them every time the time we were checking out.

Rating is closer to a 6.5 - hotel is older and has not been updated in a while. Hotel staff was attentive and personable, but room accommodations were lackluster. Bedskirts were not appropriately fitted, duvets were worn and snagged. Luckily we only needed a one night, I couldn’t bear a linger stay at this location. Unfortunately this has been my experience with Hiltons as of late, since pandemic the chain has not met the quality that I was accustomed.

The hotel was close to a lot of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Penn station was a 7 minute walk. Times Square is an 18 minute walk. Taxis are always in sight. Outside the hotel, sidewalks are lined with vendors beautiful flowers everyday. House keeping tidied my room everyday but a little more care needs to be taken with the bathroom as when you look in the bathroom mirror you can see grime building up in the face basin corners at the front. The room had a mini refrigerator and microwave which I also appreciated. I would return to the hotel and recommend it to others.
