Great central located hotelPosted Nov 27, 2015
Pros: I have stayed in many Manhatten hotels, this was my best choice by far. Central to everything, walking uptown or down town, easy access to ALl subway
Cons: Milk NOT creamer, this does not work with English tea. Mini bar needed spare space for my own waster and milk.
Location: So much yo do the world is your oyster
I have stayed in many Manhatten hotels, this was my best choice by far. Central to everything, walking uptown or down town, easy access to ALl subway standard and express. Very near port authority for assess to busses. The staff could not do enought for you, good advise, always accommodating 10 out of 10

Great location, hidden extrasPosted Nov 22, 2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Advertise deposit, improve air con both outside and inside
Location: At Times Square's heart. Subway and shops all within a stone's throw
Unexpected deposit of $100 (card) or $200 (cash) to be paid on arrival Room was small, as expected. But outside air con noise was loud Great location, in the heart of Times Square We were charged for a mini bar item we didn't actually have, but when questioned, it was taken off there and then

Theaters in easy walking distancePosted Nov 20, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location. Free wi-fi.
Cons: Only two towels and one bar of soap were in our room. Extra towels carried a service charge.
Location: Steps to Times Square and the theaters made this a come-back-to hotel.
The purpose of our trip was to enjoy two Broadway shows. Hence a hotel (really) in the theater district was needed. Hotel Mela was a pleasant surprise with helpful staff everywhere.

We chose Hotel Mela for its central location, as a base for a few days in the city.

Great boutique hotel!Posted Nov 20, 2015
Pros: Location, hotel staff, comfort of rooms at a fair price.
Cons: I wish they had real creamers in room for coffee.
Location: Right on 44th near Broadway in Times Square. Convenient to shows, zillions of dining choices.
I have stayed at the Mela many times, even though I don't get hotel points. Always neat and clean. Very convenient and the staff (desk, concierge, door/bell men, are always exceptional! I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the city!

city hotel close to times squarePosted Nov 19, 2015
Pros: its location
Cons: smarten the rooms up, we used two on the 4th floor and neither of them were in the best of condition.
Location: everything you want New York for, Broadway, Times Square, the subway, bars and restaurants.
Had a problem with the first room 4th floor over looking the street, far to noisy and had far too many faults (just wear and tear), just had to move. Second room was smaller at the back, a little quieter (once you got used to the extractors vents), but then suffered with a lack of internet access, overall it served the purpose. Had to call down and ask for house keeping to replenish tea/coffee as it seemed to have been forgotten during the day but was quickly sorted. Hotel in a very good central location everything you want in New York was around us especially times square.

Pros: location ,staff
Cons: better wifi its awful like a third world country and pillows on the bed
Location: we were on the corner off times square perfect
hi this hotel is good great location the only complaint is no real wifi in room no matter what they say i had a teenager with me moaned the whole time over lack of a descent signal and the bed pillows were so small more like cushions than a pillow but i would return and recommend it i dont think the room was dusted or hoovered and we were there 5 days would have been nice just once the bathroom was cleaned and towels replaced every day its all about the location

Perfect location!Posted Nov 13, 2015
The perfect location with everything on your doorstep, including Times Square, subway and bus stops, endless diners and bars, the list goes on. The rooms are particularly small, but didn't need to spend too much time in the hotel so this wasn't a big issue. Top tip - take ear plugs - being so central in 'the city that never sleeps' means there is street noise 24/7.
