The staff were very friendly as soon as we came in. The elevator was a little shaky and the floor in the bedroom looked like it could use a steam clean but it was ok for the one night we stayed.

I stayed there Easter weekend with my daughter and niece (minors) and there was a cockroach in our room. Cleaning staff didn’t even clean or pick up the cockroach after I killed it. I asked to speak to the hotel manager and they never called me - even though they said they would and I followed up multiple times. Staff chased me in the hotel restaurant because he forgot I paid the bill for dinner, caused a scene and didn’t even apologize. Most hotels will check you in if your room is ready - this hotel wanted to charge $150USD to go to the room that was ready and available a couple hours early. I stayed at the intercontinental hotel and I arrived at 11am and my room was available and they gave it to us - no upcharge or anything. Just a much better hotel chain for cleanliness and service.

Smooth check in and out. Bottles of water provided at front desk upon check in. Staff made me feel welcome. Great view from my room. Room is spacious, so as bathroom and closet. So clean! Only one restaurant which is Ok. Small cafe was already closed by the time our time spend in hotel. Eating Choice inside hotel is limited but many other choices around the hotel. Less then 10mins walk from Grand Central, which is an easy transport from JFK by LIRR and AirTran. I will stay here again.

I reserved a king room and was allocated a room with a queen-sized bed. Although the view from the (tiny) window was nice, it wasn't what I had expected from the photos on the website. Bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked (hairs on the ceiling, gross!).

We loved our stay at Hilton. It was definitely top notch accommodations. The city view is definitely worth the extra cost. The room was spacious and cozy and the bathroom was large with plenty of storage. The only unexpected charges I didn't like were the $300 security deposit which I'm assuming is $100/night. Most hotels are only $100 for your entire stay. Also they inform you of a "credit" for their restaurant, but don't inform you that you're getting charged whether you use this "credit" or not. The menu items were pricier than we would have expected to pay so we opted not to visit the restaurant at all. If I had known this credit was an actual charge then we would have at least made the cost worth it. The staff was super friendly and other than the constant maintenance on the middle elevator we really enjoyed our stay!

We got lucky and booked for a day NYC was supposed to get a snowstorm. From night to morning, suddenly everything was white. We spent the day outside and got to come back to a beautiful view that can be had from this location. Our stay also came with a $30 dining credit that we did not use but NYC in the snow is amazingly beautiful and we took advantage of being outside. The front desk was great with us. We hope to come back soon.
