The room they put us in was half the size of what Expedia said it was (which wasn’t big). The bed took up the entire room except for about a foot around each side of the bed which you could kind of walk through if your suitcase was in the bed. There was a small closet we could have stored our suitcase but it looked dirty and gross inside so our suitcase was in the bed during the day so we could walk around the room. The bathroom was clean but in disrepair. The water would be warm and then go scalding hot for no reason and then back to normal. We would have expected so much more for over $300 avg per night. The hotel is amazing! Very clean, staff is super nice, gym is incredible. The location is the only thing that is not the best but this is my personal opinion. You have a metro right in front so makes things easier.

The hotel is nice, very good location, room is small but is fine for us, my only inconvenience was that the main light didn't work i reported the first night and they fixed until the last night.

It is not easy to actually find a decent Hotel close to the Convention Center. They are all run-down. The New Yorker was ok... I expected the rooms to be a little bigger. The 2 Queen bed one it tight but the beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom is tiny and there is no counter or shelf. There was one tiny shelf that fit our toothbrushes and toothpaste. Be prepared to hear the sirens of NY constantly. That was the first hotel I stayed in where I could hear them as if they are right next door even though the room was on a higher floor.

The staff of the property is wonderful. The hotel per se is an Art Deco jewel which is very nice. As per the hotel rooms, ours was very outdated and the bed (mattress) was terrible, really uncomfortable

I loved this property and I loved the views. The suite was a welcome surprise and the price was incredibly reasonable for Manhattan . The amenities were excellent. I was a little disappointed that through no fault of my own the toilet backed up and a maintenance guy came up with a plunger for less than 5 minutes to clear the toilet and I was charged over 60$ for this. The hotel is old and I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens more regularly. However this aside and it only occurred the once, I was very happy with the accommodation I got great shots of the city from the balcony and the bed was Uber comfortable. I would most certainly stay again 😃. Just be mindful of additional billing for facility malfunctions

The rooms have some charm to them. Feels old, and the staff is nice. But the water temp in the shower was constantly fluctuating, and didn't matter what time of day I showered.

We stayed 5 nights. The hotel is old but well kept, clean and the staff were good. Security was present at all times so we didn’t worry about safety. Our metro view room on the 36th floor was small and very expensive, but I guess they all are in Manhattan. It did have a great view though. The TikTok Diner was meh for food and service. McDonald’s across the street and lots of other restaurants close by. Easy walk to Times Square and the subway station right on the corner. We would stay there again.

First let me say that every staff member we came into contact with was amazing starting with Mohammed at the front desk, the head of security who helped us access our room after some difficulty and all the support staff.. However, this is a very dated property with inadequate bedding and dismal hallways. We paid for a cityview room and were given a riverview room. I wasn't going to waste valuable time arguing about it so I just let it go but it really irritates me that we paid extra for nothing. When we arrived at our room the key didn't work, my husband went down and reported it, the key still didn't work. It took several people and 45 minutes to determine the battery in the door was dead and to replace it. Again, the staff was amazing. Stuff happens but surely there is some warning when the battery is about to die. The hotel is very well situated. It's close to subways, Penn Station, Broadway and Times Square. If you decide to stay here don't bother paying extra for views. You might not get them. And even if you do, the windows are filthy and moisture has gotten in between the panes and the views are blurry. All in all I wouldn't choose this hotel again.
