Excellent location

Lovely hotel on the Promenade very near the Old City. Walkable to many attractions in Nice overlooking the water.

Sea front hotel in the old town.

Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Better storage for clothing.
Location: Sea front, flower and food market, bars, restaurants and just walking those narrow streets in the old town. Old palace gardens are just a walk away.
No frills but reasonable size rooms, comfortable bed, clean bathroom in full working order. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast price seems a bit steep but there is a variety of food and plenty of it. Also cafes at rear of hotel offer an alternative. The main selling point is its great location on the sea front (but extra cost for room with a view) and in the old town with the market, bars restaurants and all those narrow streets just behind.

Wonderful small hotel

Pros: Just about everything.
Cons: Have an iron and ironing board available for guests
Location: See above.
This has been my 5th visit to this hotel. I come here every time I go to Nice. Fantastic location (at least for my purposes) next door to the Opera House, around the corner from the old town and the Mediteranean is outside the front door. Staff are very helpful. I walk with a stick and they always make sure I have a room without steps.

Perfect location, friendly staff!

Pros: Very nice staff, clean room and bathroom, gret location
Location: Colline du Chateau, Flower Market, Old Town, Prom. des Anglais
The location of this hotel is spectacular. Right in the center of the Promenade des Anglais. Walk along the Promenade towards the East, and you can climb steps up to the Point de vue de la Colline du Chateau, very beautiful for panoromas of the Med. coast. Keep going and be sure to vist the Parc de la Colline du Chateau. The back of the hotel faces very close to the Flower District of Old Town. Be sure to check out the night life. Lots of English and Irish pubs with live music. Overall, the hotel staff was very friendly and all spoke English, which was very accomodating for 2 Americans. They were very helpful with recommendations. The room was very clean, but small. We had extremely large suitcases, which had to be put on top of the desk. The bathroom is very nice, and you can tell that everything has been updated. Very high vaulted ceilings make the small room feel a lot bigger, and double doors that open to a small balcony are a very nice touch. I recommend a corner room, if you can get one. It was nice to open both doors and let the breeze blow in smells of the sea and freshly baked bread.

Great Location

Just right for a weekend break in Nice. Perfect location. On the Promenade, 1 min from the Old Town, 2 mins from Place Massena. Everything in walking distance. Good breakfast buffet. Clean rooms. Will stay again when next in Nice.

Room was small and the bed is too soft like the spring is probably outdated. However, it's tidy and perfect location just by the beach and close to the old town.

Perfect hotel 2 min walk from flower market and old town. Walk straight out on to Promenade. Hotel staff friendly & helpful. New well sized thick towels every day. room spotless. Complementary bottle of water. Air con / heating excellent. Bed very comfortable.

Pros: The hotel was well decorated and clean. The buffet breakfast was well presented, plentiful and had lots of choice.
Cons: Our superior room needed a new carpet as the rest of the room was well presented. It had a modern bathroom. There was also a musty smell in the room. It was located at the back of the hotel looking onto a noisy street and therefore, you couldn't have a window open at night. Also at 4am every morning the bin men came. Because of this we didn't get one good night's sleep.
Location: The location is excellent and it is very easy to walk to the train station to go and visit places around Nice.

AC not working! was told can only heat not cool??!

Awful stay, the hotel is old and dated, we were told the AC in the room could only heat not cool as they had been recently reprogrammed? There were no apologies for this. Room was small and dated, only redeeming factor was a decent breakfast.
