---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We welcome you to book a stay at our home in the Pacific Northwest just a few miles outside the town of North Bend, Washington. We are nestled in the foothills of the Cascade mountains and perched atop the bank of the South Fork of the Snoqualmie river.

The main home is a 2-story, 2 bedroom, 1 ½ bath, 1,040 sq ft. There is also a single-room, detached cottage allowing for a third bedroom and a very pleasant and private place to sleep. A maximum of 4 guests are allowed given that the home is limited in space. Please book another home for your stay if your party exceeds 4 guests.

The 700 sq ft deck is a nice extension of .your living space where you’ll likely spend a good portion of your time – especially when the weather is nice. And if it rains, there are some covered options as well.

Both bedrooms in the main house are on the second floor, including the full bathroom. The primary bedroom (riverside) has a King-sized bed. The secondary bedroom (backyard side) has a Queen-sized bed.

Each of these two bedrooms has a dresser, closet, end tables, and is equipped with a Samsung 4K Smart TV; and a RokuTV streaming device with countless hours of free movies and shows to watch. One bedroom has a Blu-ray disc player that can be used in either bedroom. There is no cable TV service or a landline phone.

The recently remodeled main bathroom with a tub/shower combo is situated in between both bedrooms.

The living room/dining area is more of a combined space. The living room has an over-sized loveseat and a big chair. So, seating in this area is limited to 3-4 people. There is a Samsung 4K Smart TV and soundbar, RokuTV streaming device, and a Blu-ray player. The dining table offers additional seating for socializing and watching TV and is also expandable from both ends and will easily seat 6 guests. Weather permitting, you may opt to enjoy most meals out on the deck at the picnic table.

There is a small 1/2 bathroom on the main floor with a toilet and sink.

The detached cottage is called the Waterfront Branch Office or “WBO”. This one-roomed space has a Full XL-sized bed (same length as a Queen, but narrower by 6 inches) which overlooks the campfire area and river. There is electricity and a free-standing heater, but there isn’t a bathroom, sink, or closet. The good news is, the WBO is steps away from the front door of the main house. There is a desk, chair, computer monitor, docking connection, and a wireless mouse and keyboard. So, bring your laptop if you feel the need to get some work done during your stay.

The kitchen is stocked with most everything you’ll need (aside from food items). Some provisional items are included, such as coffee, hot chocolate, hot cider, cooking oils, and a wide variety of spices and seasonings. There is a matching Samsung refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher.

The laundry room is more of a laundry “closet”, but here you’ll find a full-sized Samsung washer and dryer, and some additional items for your stay.

The hot tub overlooks the river and is only intended for one person to enjoy some “me-time” by yourself. With that said, it may be possible to uncomfortably fit two people.

Also on the deck, there is a propane gas fire table with seating and a large rustic picnic table. A free-standing propane heater is there for those chilly days or nights when you are intent on being outside in nature.

There is a big campfire pit and plenty of space for seating. An abundance of firewood is provided, so no need to pick any up on your way. Please note that there are often fire bans during the hot summer months which must be respected. However, the propane gas fire table is a suitable alternative.

The home is very dog-friendly and has a large fenced yard on the non-river side of the house. Of course, you’ll need to close and secure the entrance gates. Note that one short section is a little over 4 ft high; which isn’t ideal for dogs who tend to climb or jump. There is an additional fenced area (6 ft high) with doggy-door access from inside the home.

There are steps down to the river – just follow the sign! Keep in mind that the river flow can change drastically. In the Fall and Winter months, depending on the amount of rain or snow melt, the river can be raging all the way across. It’s actually a very cool sight to see and experience. But most of the time of year, you just need to cross a shallow spring-fed creek to get to the “River Island”. Be careful when stepping across; the rocks can be slippery. Though you may not catch many lunkers, bring your flyrod and spend the day fishing up and down the shoreline for cutthroat and rainbow trout. Unfortunately, the Winter windstorms of 2022 blew down the trees on our share of the island, so it will look somewhat different than in the photos that were taken a few months earlier.

A relaxing hammock usually overhangs the river under a large Maple tree, but this is more of a summertime luxury. An afternoon snooze on a warm day is highly recommended.

You can't go wrong by either starting or ending your day with a walk up the Twin Falls trail. The trailhead is just a 3-minute walk away. The hike to the waterfalls takes about 45 minutes with the option to go much further up the trail if you'd like. There are endless miles of other trails within a short drive, as North Bend and the Snoqualmie Valley is where many who live in Greater Seattle and elsewhere come to play.

Please understand that the home isn't completely isolated away from the rest of the world. There are other homes all along the river. There are nice neighbors on each side of the property and you can also see a couple of homes across the river.

Seasonal Alert!: During the Fall and Winter months, the 1/2 mile private road leading to the house degrades due to snow and rain. Parts of the road will likely have potholes making for a somewhat bumpy ride that time of the year until the road is maintained.

Other than that, please reach out to us with any questions, unique sand/or inquiries and we’ll be happy to respond. Thank you for your interest!

Second time staying
This was my family’s second time at this property. It works well for our family because it’s so clean, it is well stocked, right on the river, and only 10 min from town. An easy way to get a forest get away while still getting takeout so mom doesn’t have to cook! It’s very dog friendly so we get to bring our pups with us, which we always love.

AMAZING place to stay!
I honestly couldn't have been happier with our stay here. It's fully immersed in nature with the river right off the back deck. Every night we fell asleep to the sounds of the river which is one of my absolute favorite things in life. The house was very clean with hardwood floors throughout which made it very dog friendly, on top of the fenced in dog area and larger fenced in driveway/yard. The appliances, furniture, and electronics are all modern and high-quality. The hot-tub was great, but take note that it's only a single person tub. I was able to squeeze my 6ft frame in there with my 5 and 7 year old kids just fine though, and we all had fun. Sitting in there at night with the roaring of the river in the background was a nightly treat. The separate bedroom in what looks like a shed was awesome, with a full work-space setup so you could easily work from there. It also creates a mini "compound" feeling with the deck as the central area, which is also very well equipped with a fire table, propane heat lamp, a fire pit to one side and a bbq to the other. There's also a great trail-head just a small hike away, and between that and daily walks in the river, we had tons of things to do. Since covid began, my family has been renting homes like this and I can honestly say this is my favorite home so far, and would definitely stay here again!

Mountain magic ☺️
Jeff’s home is fantastic. My sister and I throughly enjoyed his well appointed River ‘cabin.’ This home has the feel of a new and upscale cabin with great finishes. Has everything you need including a great coffee setup and a beautiful washer and dryer, adding convenience to comfort. Plenty of towels, blankets etc and we loved the bathrobes! Did I mention the hot tub overlooking the river is amazing? Because it is!! Keep in mind this home is approx 45min-hr away from Seattle depending on traffic. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough for day trips/ dinners. Would def return! 10/10

Beautiful!
This property is beautiful and the host is more than accommodating. Jeff let us check in early and we loved every minute. The hot tub is awesome, we had a campfire and the propane heater and fire table kept us toasty throughout the night. Lovely kitchen and all the amenities. The neighbors are REALLY close and you look directly at them from the porch. Wish it was a bit more separation but other than that, it was the best trip. Thank you Jeff for letting us use your beautiful home!

Simply Outstanding
This place was so great, I only regret that leaving a review only means it may be booked up more often so we won’t be able to. Location is excellent and cabin is amazing. But it’s the little touches from the host that puts its over the top. Anything you might think “it would be nice if they had ______ at this place” and they have it. From phone chargers near the bed and sofa, all the fire making equipment you need, kitchen accessories, spices, and everything to cook with, extra toothbrush and toothpaste, streaming services, bath robes, snacks, welcome gifts, and so much more. Lots to do in the house, outside the house and in the area. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect get away vacation home!
What a wonderful stay this was! The owner went above and beyond making sure every need was met - it was the most hospitable vacation home. The home is clean and cozy and has everything you could need. The outdoor area by the river is very charming with a solo hot tub, hammock, covered tables, and fire pit. There is even a fenced yard for the pup 🐶 Would highly recommend!
