"Rachael and Rory were perfect hosts and were always there to assist us. The icing on the cake was a delicious Yorkshire Brack cake waiting for us on our arrival and to top it all Rachael made us a cake half way through our visit. The accommodation was excellent. "This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area."

"Holly Cottage is a well equipped cottage, with everything you could need, in a very typical pretty Yorkshire village. Very comfortable, and a good wood burner in the sitting room, making it cosy, although the kitchen area was also so nice we spent a lot of time in there too. Very comfortable beds in good sized bedrooms too. Hutton Le Hole is a pretty village, with easy access to good roads for travel to the coast and York, but with plenty to do in the immediate area too, including Castle...

"My husband and I had 5 glorious nights at the Bothy and wished it could have been longer. Juliet and her husband were really helpful and accommodating, the apartment was lovely and comfortable, and quintessentially English, and we both fell in love with the sheep. Two bedrooms, each with en-suite suits a family group. Living room and kitchen are a good size with most of what you need (though note there is only a fridge - no freezer and no washing machine). "This was our second stay here for the three of us plus dog. Located near the castle and overlooking the railway, it’s ideally placed. Town is a two minute walk and, although parking is a street away, there was always free spaces. You’ll need reversing skills to get to the property to unload, as the house is on a narrow one way road, with no parking. The property is ideal for four, with two bathrooms and a decent sized kitchen/dining/living area. Happy to say, we’ll look for the property the next...
