This is the 3rd time that we have stayed here. It is in a great location in the old town, 10 mins walk from the train station with a suitcase. There are numerous dining options within a brief walk.
The full breakfast is very nice, 21 euros. There is a convenient snack bar in the lobby that has drinks, snacks, ice cream and frozen pizza that you can cook in your kitchen.
The only issue is that the bar and restaurant have been closed now for some years, apparently due to lack of staff. So apart from breakfast, you have to go out to eat or drink. There is also a small supermarket close and Aldi is not far away.
If you need to wash clothes, you have a washing machine/dryer combo. The washing machine is great but we find that the dryer takes forever and the clothes are still not dry.
The area around the hotel is safe, we have never had an issue, but it can be noisy at night due to the restaurants across the road and the hotel is just down the road from the fire station, so expect some alarms and horns blaring at night.
Overall, it's a great hotel, the staff are always excellent and I doubt that we would stay anywhere else when we visit Nürnberg.
