It took us a day to figure out that it was on, and we were leaving the very next day. Each room has an AC unit which was great, as some liked it colder in their rooms then others. A bunch of adults went to OC for the weekend and absolutely LOVED this place! Furnishings were lovely, decor was beachy but not overkill. Having a storm door at the entrance then opening the sliders created such a wonderful cross breeze. The building is on a quiet cul-de-sac so the only traffic you'll see are those who should be there. But it's close to Coastal Hwy so you're back in the action in no time. Grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants, all within walking distance. Not sure why some reviews were so bad.
