“文化財に登録されるだけあって重厚で趣のある素晴らしい建物です。柱や梁の太さ、床板の厚み、上り框の立派さ、どれをとっても素晴らしい建築物です。 ご亭主や女将さんはとても親しみやすくとてもゆっくりくつろげました。 お料理は自家製の山菜料理や地元の食材をふんだんに使った物でとても美味しくいただきました。また温泉はさっぱりとした湯上がりでとても温まります。地元の方のお話も聞けてとても良い思い出になりました。家内もとても喜んでいます。 また機会があれば是非訪れてみたい所です。”

“Warm bedroom and reliable hot water for showering in winter. Good for a night in Kakunodate, or more. Breakfast (if purchased when booking) was served in the guesthouse's Italian restaurant just beside. Thin walls though the other guests were considerate to minimise noise during my stay. The owner, Eiko, is a very easygoing and friendly lady. I regret I had to leave.”

“今回は車旅行だったし、クマ騒動で出歩くのも憚られたので、駅近という立地の良さは生かしきれませんでしたが、部屋は全室禁煙ということもあり、嫌な匂いもなく、清潔感ありました。晩御飯は、ホテル内で頂くことにしましたが、三千円くらいでちゃんとした御膳セットが食べられて、とってもリーズナブルなお値段だったので、同行の友人共々驚きました！”
