Very clean and professionally run. A place where you can tell the owners take a lot of pride in providing a nice place to stay. The breakfast was the best you can get in town, fresh fruit and lot of delicious bread and cheese. Only recommendation for improvement is to have fans in the room, it was very hot day and we were on the third floor which got pretty toasty.

A very nice and classic place to be, with a nostalgic magic of it's own. Clean and spacious. It's not as quiet as it looks, since it's located on the main road.

Nice place for a one-night stop
Our family of four stayed here on our roadtrip throughout France and Germany. I either didn't read carefully, or they were out of family rooms with ensuite bathrooms, but we ended up with a room without a bathroom. It wasn't a huge deal (and it's always a great lesson for kids not to take bathrooms for granted), but it was still a little inconvenient. Also, the hotel did not have air conditioning and it was quite a hot day - the windows open helped, but the traffic headed into Oppenau was quite loud, even at night. Breakfast was quite big and good, and the hosts were very kind and spoke a variety of languages. The guesthouse itself is quite cute with gardens and playgrounds out back, and well-decorated throughout.

We must of stayed here at least 6 times. So we obviously we like it. Nice people. Nice beer and good food. Free wifi worked in bedroom. Lovely village.

Do not stay here with your family!
This place was so horrible, we left after the 1st night and forfeited our 2 nd night. It was more of an apartment atmosphere, with people living in the rooms, no visiting. No air conditioner, and we were told (or ordered in a loud voice) to not open the windows for air. It was 4 flights up, no lift, yet the owner told Hotels.com it was only 2 flights up. You have to enter thru basement, and we were not allowed to go thru the front door because it was for the restaurant. It was on outskirts of town. Nothing was close by. Food was ok for breakfast. We felt very unwelcome. I would not recommend this place at all.

Sehr geehrte Frau Rhonda, es ist schade dass Sie nicht zufrieden waren. Leider entsprechen nicht alle Ihre Angaben der Warheit. Auf Anraten des Costumerservice von Hotels.com wurden wir darauf hingewiesen dies richtig zu stellen. Die Angaben auf unserer Webseite sind alle korrekt. Kein Aufzug, keine Klimaanlage. Unser Haus besteht aus 2 Etagen, mehr sind nicht vorhanden!. In jedem Zimmer steht ein Ventilator zur Verfügung , In unserem Haus kann jeder Gast die Fenster öffnen, es ist falsch, dass Ihnen dies nicht erlaubt wurde, Sie wurden lediglich darauf hingewiesen die Jalousien geschlossen zu lassen (wegen der Sonneneinstrahlung), die Fenster können trotzdem geöffnet werden. Es ist nicht richtig dass Sie den Keller als Eingang benutzen mussten. Alle Hotel- bzw Hausgäste benutzen den Eingang von der Hofseite. Da sich in unserem Haus zur Zeit immer Hotelgäste befinden ist es durchaus möglich dem einen oder anderen zu begegnen., das ist völlig normal. Vielleicht hat Ihnen einfach nur die Hitze wärend Ihres Aufenthalts zu schaffen gemacht, dass Sie nicht alle Angaben richtig gemacht haben. Ihr Gasthaus Finken-Team

Hotel Finken Hospitality
Edith and Gasthaus Finken was wonderful. Edith gave us a map and lots of info about the wonderful things to see in the Black Forest.We were given a lift to the train station and the daily complimentary breakfast was fantastic. The rooms were nice and warm and clean with a comfy bed and welcome chocolate on arrival.The hotel restaurant has yummy traditional well priced food. We would gladly return to The Gasthaus Finken. Basic value guesthouse as base for Black Forest
My partner and I stayed 5 nights at Gasthof Finken in late September as a base for visiting the Black Forest. Although Finken is comfortable, good value, and very friendly, its location lets it down, being in the less picturesque side of town on a very noisy (all night) main road.

Great friendly little place
Owner and staff were very friendly and the service excellent. The food was of excellent quality both restaurant and breakfast. You can eat in the garden. Only downside is the road can be busy but during the night we were not disturbed.

Black Forest Weekend
Stayed the weekend with our boxer. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was included. Very quiet neighborhood. Was like staying at my grandma's house. Lights out and quiet time after about 10 p.m. We were on the third floor; stairs became a nuisance. Room was a bit on the small side but had everything we needed. View from our window was gorgeous.

An excellent place to stay for exploring The Black Forest and surrounding areas. Air conditioning was the only thing that could be considered a weak point, but the hotel the staff and the value are otherwise fantastic. The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful.

A beautiful location
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. There was a problem with our booking, but this was handled quickly and efficiently. We settled in for a quiet and peaceful stay and then enjoyed a hearty breakfast the next morning.

Good proximity to cuckoo clock stores(1 hour)

We loved our surroundings, the staff was very helpful and spoke english! The room was a little old feeling, but it had new carpeting. The toilet had a little mold around the rim and the shower had some in spots. Overall, we had a nice stay at the hotel.

Nice guest house in Black Forest area
Great value for the money. Excellent service and great breakfast. Awesome beds & douvets. Would definitely go back. Wish we had more time. Beautiful area of Germany.

Personal service from owners gave it a special touch. Diego made us feel very welcome . Excellent breakfast was fresh and good quality. Room was large and warm. Whole town was amazingly clean and pretty like old time Germany. If you order schnitzel for dinner be warned they give you enough for two.

Good Locally Owned and Operated Hotel in the Black
We rented two rooms to accomadate our daughter, son-in law, 2 grandsons and my wife and I for a couple days while exploring the Black Forest. The owners were very friendly and all of us enjoyed dinners and breakfasts daily. One word of caution - This hotel does not accept credit cards as a form af payment so be prepared to pay your bill with cash.

Dejligt ophold
Jeg havde en enkelt overnatning her med min mand og to børn, på vej til Frankrig. Roligt og hyggeligt sted. Meget rent og pænt på værelset. Da vi skulle tidligt op og afsted næste dag, forslog den søde hotelvært selv at hun kunne lave nogle pakker med morgenmad klar til vores tur, og stille udenfor vores dør om morgenen. Rigtig god oplevelse. 😊

Sehr schönes und preiswertes Hotel nahe dem Zentrum von Oppenheim. City sehr angenehm fussläufig erreichbar. Top Rezeptionist in mehreren Sprachen auskunftsfähig. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr bemühtes und freundliches Personal.

Goede en vriendelijke ontvangst en aan te bevelen.
Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw en personeel. We arriveerden nog laat en het was geen moeite om nog een heel lekker avondmaal met de glimlach geserveerd te krijgen. Heel netjes en prijs/kwaliteit echt een aanrader. Wij komen hier zeker nog terug.
