“Rooms are well maintained and functional. Convenient location to beach and a very relaxing atmosphere.”

“Clean room and friendly staff, but the air conditioning unit dripped a lot of water when trying to cool the room (in the July heat). Also, the water pressure in the shower was very weak. Rates were very reasonable, but next visit to the Outer Banks, I’d opt for an established hotel chain.”

The hallway to the unit and the unit is outdated and smells bad. Bathroom was small, and bathroom floor broken. AC in the living area and No AC in the room. Was not very happy spending $670 for this 3D2N trip.”

“The indoor pool and jacuzzi were not monitored. The jacuzzi water was milky looking and disgusting. The indoor pool was dirty and full of sand. The cleaning staff left a dirty Mr Clean Eraser in our room one day and I told the supervisor. The next day the dirty Mr Clean Eraser was still there along with a cleaner's employee key card. The rest of the hotel was and amenities were average.”

“Staff was very nice to us. The sheets could have been nicer. They have a tendency to pill. Since the weekend rate is higher, it would have been nice to have a little upgrade on the breakfast may be nicer danish. Very clean pool was great right on the beach.”

“I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. Unlike most beach motels, parking was NEVER an issue! We always had a spot close to the room. The room……

“The room was clean, affordable, and pet-friendly, which was a big plus. Many guests had their pets with them, and the pet fee was only $25 per night, which is very reasonable. The only downside was the shower—it was quite small. It was just large enough to stand in, so it might feel a bit cramped for bigger guests. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and a good value for the price.”

“We were next to the laundry room. There was a loud sound coming through the bathroom all night, pipes over the shower, sounded like water was being poured in the tub no hot water, no shower. You could not pull the. Lever to start a shower the water was lukewarm couldn’t get any hotter. The staff was nice, but we had to change hotels and get our money back.”
