The house was very nice, with 2 new bikes left for our use. Alys and Rosemary Beach were very short bike rides away, which is good for dining or shopping. There is a tram to Seacrest beach, but the walk to the beach from the tram drop off point required 3 flights of stairs down to the beach. At the bottom of the stairs they will rent you two chairs and an umbrella for 85/dayAlys and Rosemary beaches are both completely private with no access points to anyone not staying in Alys or Rosemary. This is true for a lot of 30a, which is very disappointing. You will walk or bike to an access point, only to find a locked gate. The community of seaside was the same thing. People stood with their faces against a locked gate to watch the sunsetWe found that Grayton beach was the most welcoming for beach access, as well as the state parks The gulf is pretty and the area overall is nice but between the heavy restrictions on beach access, and the number of biting flies at the beach, we won’t be returning to Walton County
